Chapter 35 Selling Ice Cream at a Mountain Top

"Don't worry. This time I plan to sell popsicles for 80 coins each, and slushies and milk ice creams for 100 coins each."

He Yang was surprised that his boss had suddenly become so perceptive and asked, "Boss, are you serious? Isn't this price a bit too expensive?"

Yu Zhizhi's lips curled up slightly, a sly glint in her eyes, "If you knew where we'd be setting up our stall tomorrow, you definitely wouldn't think it's expensive!"

Is there any place more bizarre or exciting than setting up a stall in front of the Sixth Prince's residence last time?

He Yang was filled with curiosity.

He felt his right eyelid start twitching again.

Where should we set up our stall tomorrow?

Yu Zhizhi smiled mysteriously: "You'll find out tomorrow morning."

"Also, remember to go to bed early tonight and get enough rest, okay?"

He Yang leaned closer to her, his face full of doubt, and asked, "Is it like last time, with not a soul in sight, so you're conserving your energy and getting ready to sell your wares?"

Yu Zhizhi smiled without saying a word.

Mount Putuo, so towering high, has only one purpose for recuperating and conserving its energy.

climb mountains!

The day of prayer.

The sky was exceptionally clear, the sun was high in the sky, and the weather was unusually hot. Such high temperatures were really not suitable for setting up a stall to do business.

Just like last time, Yu Zhizhi led He Yang, Xiao Tao, and Ping An to set up a stall. They brought five simple wooden freezers filled with ice cream, each box containing two hundred ice creams.

He Yang was filled with anxiety throughout the journey.

He sat in his carriage, occasionally pulling back the curtains to look outside.

Huh!

How do I get to the outskirts of the city?

As he watched himself drift further and further away from the capital, he felt a mix of emotions.

The coachman just told him that they hadn't gone the wrong way, and that the carriage carrying the eldest brother had been following closely all the way.

At that moment, he felt like a fat pig waiting to be slaughtered, with the feeling that he would be sold and would even help count the money.

Half an hour later, the carriage finally arrived at its destination.

He Yang was woken up by Yu Zhizhi.

He jumped off the carriage in a daze, rubbed his eyes, and looked at the scene in front of him with some confusion.

Then, his gaze swept over the horse-drawn carriages, oxcarts, and horses parked at the foot of the mountain, as well as groups of people walking together in the same direction.

Only then did he realize where he was.

"Are we here to join in the fun, or to set up a stall?"

He frowned. If it was just a simple mountain climb, he didn't want to join in the fun.

Yu Zhizhi smiled slyly and asked him in return, "What do you think?"

He Yang's face turned deathly pale instantly.

We're doomed!

The boss is going to pull something exciting again.

I'm shivering.

His legs were already trembling even before he started climbing the mountain.

Seeing his utterly hopeless expression, Yu Zhizhi could only comfort him:

"Think about it, this year's prayer festival lasts for four days. Every year, not only the capital, but also many wealthy families from nearby prefectures come to the temples atop Mount Putuo to offer incense and pray for blessings. With so many fish, wouldn't it be a great pity if we missed it?"

After listening, He Yang thought about it carefully and nodded in agreement: "Boss, what you said does seem to make a lot of sense. No wonder you set the price at 80 or 100 coins per piece."

He tried to convince himself.

In order to earn more money, and out of trust in his boss, he was determined to climb to the top of the mountain, even if it meant giving it his all.

However, before they even officially started climbing the mountain, when Yu Zhizhi saw He Ping'an unloading the five large boxes of ice cream from the carriage, she instantly regretted it.

Oh dear!

That was incredibly careless.

She was so focused on letting everyone enjoy the refreshing feeling of eating ice cream on the mountaintop that she completely overlooked the heavy weight of those five boxes of ice cream.

If she were to hike up the mountain lightly, she would probably be exhausted, let alone having to carry such a heavy wooden crate.

As for that fat guy He Yang, there's even less reason to count on him.

Although he looked tall and strong, he was actually just overweight and couldn't possibly move those wooden crates.

Now it seems that the only reliable person is He Ping'an, but no matter how strong he is, he absolutely cannot move all five large boxes by himself.

Just as Yu Zhizhi was at her wit's end, she suddenly saw a luxurious carriage that had just pulled up beside her. The curtain was lifted, and a person slowly stepped out.

She looked closely, and her bright black eyes lit up instantly, as if she had seen a savior!

"Sixth Prince, what a coincidence."

He Yang was stunned to see his eldest brother smiling so brightly at the sixth prince.

He couldn't help but lean close to Yu Zhizhi's ear and whisper, "Aren't you afraid of the Sixth Prince just like me? Why do you seem to know him so well?"

Yu Zhizhi glanced at He Yang, "He's my friend."

He Yang was completely dumbfounded!

What's going on?

Doesn't she only have me as a friend?

When did you secretly hand it in behind my back?

The eldest sister actually became friends with the sixth prince! She's so incredibly awesome!

Zhao Yunjin was also surprised to meet Yu Zhizhi here, but still politely replied, "It is quite a coincidence."

Yu Zhizhi asked curiously, "Are you here to offer incense and pray for blessings?"

"no."

Yu Zhizhi waited and waited, but he never gave her another explanation for why she had come here.

She was impressed by his effusive use of words.

Fortunately, He Yang told her, "For this year's prayer festival, the Emperor specially appointed the Sixth Prince to be in charge of this matter."
