Chapter 208 Uncle comes to the rescue

Chapter 208 Uncle comes to the rescue

Si Zhui, holding Lin Yan's hand, just walked to the door of Yunshen Pavilion when he saw two familiar figures standing in the courtyard - Xie Lian, wearing a moon-white Taoist robe, was bending over to water the magnolia; Hua Cheng was leaning against the pillar, playing with a folding fan in his hand. When he saw them come back, a smile instantly appeared in his eyes.

"Zhui'er, is school over?" Xie Lian stood up and came over with a smile. His eyes immediately fell on Si Zhui's slightly red eyes and the back of his hand. "What's wrong? Did you get wronged in school?"

Si Zhui didn't expect to be seen through at a glance. The grievance that he had suppressed came up again. His lips moved, and just as he was about to speak, Hua Cheng took the lead and pulled him to his side: "Who bullied you? Tell your uncle, and your uncle will help you deal with him." He condensed a faint fairy power from his fingertips and gently brushed across the red mark on the back of Si Zhui's hand. The discomfort disappeared instantly.

Lin Yan quietly explained the academy matters, but before he could finish, Wei Wuxian rushed out of the room, sleeves rolled up. "What? Silk-binding liquid? And it even got your hands red? Whose child is Yun Miao? I'm going to confront his parents!"

"Wangji! Hurry and hold him back!" Xie Lian hurriedly stopped Wei Wuxian, smiling helplessly, "It wasn't that anyone was bullying Zhui'er. Zhui'er was trying to protect his companions and accidentally lost control of his spiritual power. Besides, Master doesn't blame him, so don't get so excited."

Lan Wangji walked over, gently pressed Wei Wuxian's shoulders, and said in a gentle tone: "Don't make a fuss, Zhui'er doesn't want to do that either."

Wei Wuxian finally stopped, squatted down and looked at Sizhui, his eyes redder than Sizhui's. "My son, does it hurt? If I had known that the Celestial Academy was so dangerous, we wouldn't have gone! Isn't it better for Daddy to teach you at home than to suffer there?"

"Daddy, I don't feel any pain anymore." Si Zhui was amused by him and put his arms around Wei Wuxian's neck. "Uncle Huacheng has fixed it for me, and the teacher said I just need to be more careful next time. I've learned something."

"That's more like it." Hua Cheng walked over, ruffled Si Zhui's hair, and took out a delicate little box from his pocket and handed it to him. "Here, this is the 'Qing Ning Pearl' your uncle brought you. Wear it on your hand. The next time you come across something like the Silk-binding Liquid, it will automatically ward it off for you."

The Qingning Pearl in the box was translucent and emitted a faint blue light. Si Zhui took it and put it on his wrist carefully. He instantly felt a cool fairy power lingering around him, and his heart felt much more at ease.

Xie Lian also smiled and handed over a cloth bag. "This contains the osmanthus cake I made. It's made with celestial osmanthus, so it's sweeter than the mortal kind. If you get hungry in the academy, just take it out and eat it."

Si Zhui held the cloth bag and looked at the elders surrounding him, feeling warm inside. He had been worried that he would be blamed for making a mistake, but he didn't expect to receive only care and comfort.

"Okay, stop crowding around Zhui'er." Jun Wu's voice came from outside the courtyard. He walked in, holding a blue-covered booklet in his hand. "This is 'A Brief Explanation of the Celestial Power Control Technique.' It contains methods for controlling immortal power specifically for beginners. Zhui'er, read a few pages every day and practice with Wangji. You won't make the same mistake next time."

He paused, looking at Sizhui with a gentle gaze. "You're kind-hearted and willing to protect your companions, which is a good thing. But only by learning to control your own power can you better protect the people you want to protect, right?"

Si Zhui nodded vigorously, took the booklet, and hugged it tightly in his arms: "Thank you, Grandpa. I will study hard."

The setting sun fell across the courtyard, the faint glow of the Heart-Clearing Grass blending with the evening glow, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. Si Zhui sat on a stone bench, eating some osmanthus cake Xie Lian had made while Hua Cheng recounted interesting stories about various immortal plants in the heavens—how the condensed dew grass's silk-binding fluid could be used as glue to bond immortal artifacts, and how the Heart-Clearing Grass's light could guide the way at night.

Lin Yan sat beside him, helping him flip through the pages of "A Brief Explanation of the Celestial Power Control Technique," explaining any difficult passages in simple terms. Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji cleaned up dinner, while Xie Lian helped Jun Wu sort through official documents. The occasional laugh filled the courtyard with the air of everyday life.

Si Zhui looked at the scene before him and suddenly felt that even if he made mistakes in heaven, it didn't matter. He had his dad and father who would always protect him, his uncle who would bring him gifts and help him out, his grandfather who patiently taught him the truth, and his brother Lin who was always by his side.

Such days are the most precious happiness, whether on earth or in heaven.
