Chapter 74 [VIP]
His gaze gently swept over, and Chenmian stared intently at Zong Bingwen's face.
The man's lips were still oozing blood, and his face was pale and haggard, looking like a vampire who had just finished drinking blood.
Chenmian touched the spot on her skin where she had been bitten, and felt a little itchy.
The boy forced a smile: "Why are you suddenly bringing up other people?" His expression was unreadable. "My current lover, my future husband, won't it only be you?"
"Just... consider it a moment of confusion, a mistake I made by accident, okay?"
Zong Bingwen immediately retorted, "Would you make a mistake if you were with Lin Langli?"
He remained silent for a long while before finally hearing his own voice: "Because it's what I owe him..."
She quickly realized her mistake halfway through her sentence and lowered her eyes, saying, "I always have to be careful when I'm with him, and it makes me very sad. Maybe it's because you're too good to me, my husband. I always feel like you can tolerate me endlessly."
"..."
"I'm the kind of person who bullies the weak and fears the strong, honey. Do you think I'm a bad person? That I don't deserve your kindness at all—should we break up?"
Zong Bingwen gritted his teeth, unwilling to accept the hypothesis he had put forward.
"I clearly said we wouldn't break up, Chenmian, so why do you always try to run away from problems?"
Chenmian opened her eyes, clenching her fingers with a hint of helplessness.
“When I talked to your brother about marriage, you didn’t object, but now you’re breaking up with me. Chenmian, you’re a bastard.”
Being called a "bastard" to his face, Chen Mian's expression was slightly unnatural. He knew that he was indeed not quite right in some ways and was not loyal enough in his relationships. But the person who scolded him was Zong Bingwen, the one who had locked him up in his arms and was criticizing him at the same time.
But feelings are like a hawk that needs to be trained; they ebb and flow. Lin Langli can outlast him, so he behaves himself.
Zong Bingwen was too lenient with him, so he became increasingly unruly during his sleep.
"Is there anything wrong with this?" Chen Mian thought. "How could Zong Bingwen cheat on me and lock me up here?"
What if the vacation he requested from the school isn't enough? With the end of the semester approaching, he still has a final paper to write and needs to review.
Completely unaware of the twisted expression on her boyfriend's face behind her, a complex mix of resentment and reproach.
Zong Bingwen hugged him tightly, so tightly that he almost pressed Shenmian into his arms, and his voice became very low: "Shenmian, you can forget about breaking up, and you can forget about leaving me."
Chenmian was startled and finally noticed the cold aura emanating from her boyfriend.
This aura, like a heavy block of ice, with a sticky, chilling dampness, slid across his face, down, and stopped at Shen Mian's waist and abdomen.
Zong Bingwen was sizing him up.
Lost in thought, he let the man's gaze linger on him.
The man behind him began to breathe rapidly, as if suppressing some emotion; even the body holding him trembled slightly.
When Shenmian heard Zong Bingwen's voice, it was exceptionally cold, sending chills down his spine: "Shenmian, if you were a woman, would you marry me while pregnant with another man's child?"
……ah?
“It’s entirely possible,” Zong Bingwen said to himself. “Anyway, I’m very easy to fool. If you’re pregnant with someone else’s child, I might be overjoyed and think it’s mine, and then I’d just raise that bastard…”
Unable to bear it any longer, Shenmian covered the incessantly chattering, increasingly bizarre mouth and said coldly, "Why would you want to have someone else's child? What? Zong Bingwen, are you incapable?"
He suddenly thought of Shen Jinshan again and felt extremely immoral.
Zong Bingwen stopped talking and held him even tighter.
Chenmian felt a surge of inexplicable irritation.
Did Lin Langli say something similar? Do homosexuals like them all have such severe reproductive anxiety?
Soon, Chenmian no longer had time to think about these things.
Because Zong Bingwen grabbed his chin and forced him to tilt his head back, the man's kisses landed densely on the fair and vibrant young man's skin.
The skin on his neck was very thin, and his Adam's apple, which was like a green apricot, was licked and kissed by Zong Bingwen several times, causing him to pant incessantly.
But Zong Bingwen coldly stuffed several fingers into her lips to stop her from making a sound. She let out a whimper, and her chest heaved heavily.
After that, it was Zong Bingwen's turn to test whether it would work on him.
This should be the third encounter between Chenmian and Zong Bingwen. Although a lot seems to have happened in between, the time interval is not long.
As expected, no man is good after he's had his fill of lust. Perhaps out of anger, Zong Bingwen was a little rough this time, but Chen Mian found it particularly appealing.
The anklet on his ankle made a clear, tinkling sound as it swayed. He choked back a sob silently, his pleasure reaching its peak. His gaze drifted unfocused to the broad shoulders above him, then he looked away, annoyed and embarrassed.
But Zong Bingwen straightened his face again, not allowing him to be distracted or avoid it in the slightest.
As the event was nearing its end, Chenmian took a deep breath, thinking she would finally be free. But then the man grabbed her waist, and Zong Bingwen tightened his grip slightly, leaning down to cover Chenmian's sweaty body. He whispered in the boy's ear, "Lin Langli, has he been here before?"
There was no liberation from slumber, only a feeling of collapse.
Zong Bingwen, how could he?!
The man behind him whispered in his ear, "Will Mianmian be pregnant with my child now? Instead of getting pregnant with someone else's bastard child, there are so many..." He chuckled softly.
Chenmian turned her head away, closed her eyes, and tears streamed down her face.
She cried for a long time but was still furious. She managed to lift her foot and kick hard, but Zong Bingwen grabbed her ankle.
"Thank you for the hospitality." Just a second before Chenmian fainted from anger, she heard Zong Bingwen say this.
When he woke up again, he was dry. The chain on his ankle hadn't been removed; in fact, it was shorter. Chenmian compared it to his own and realized that this time he couldn't even go to the bathroom.
He immediately understood Zong Bingwen's meaning, and was extremely angry and ashamed. Gone was the last time when he could still pretend to be calm and composed. He started shouting and making a scene in the room.
When Zong Bingwen came in to deliver the meal, he found the room in complete disarray.
Chenmian had torn the down pillows and blankets to shreds, leaving the room filled with fluffy down. With every step she took, the downy feathers around her would swirl and float away.
The lamps and other decorative items had already been destroyed and lay dead on the floor.
Zong Bingwen glanced at it coldly, ignoring it, and placed the plate on the bedside table.
He lay silently on the bed, fast asleep.
Zong Bingwen knelt on the edge of the bed, grabbed the boy's ankle to look at the chain, and found some marks on it. Judging from the shape, they should be teeth marks left by Chenmian.
He subconsciously curled his lips into a smile, but quickly recovered, reverting to his indifferent demeanor. His fingers traced upwards along the boy's ankle, and his tone remained calm and even: "I need to check."
Chenmian couldn't take it anymore. Feeling extremely humiliated, she burst into tears and insisted on going home.
Zong Bingwen retorted, "Return to what? Why aren't you calling me 'husband' anymore?"
Shameless! Shameless!
Chenmian thought bitterly, blaming herself for not seeing through Zong Bingwen's wickedness and being deceived for nothing.
If he had known Zong Bingwen would act this way, he wouldn't have been so hasty in getting involved with Shen Ci. He would have been much more careful and made sure Zong Bingwen didn't find out.
Shenmian regretted it more and more, but Zong Bingwen had already come up to him, his eyes still showing a hint of eagerness: "You're not going to eat, are you? But I want to have a meal."
The man glanced down and continued, "Is it alright if I try the food for my future child?"
"Why don't you call him a bastard anymore?"
Zong Bingwen said nonchalantly, "Perhaps it has become my child again. How could it be a bastard?"
A note from the author:
I suddenly realized it's Wednesday already, and I still have 6,000 words to write today. I should be able to finish writing about the wedding.
The next chapter will probably feature Lin witnessing his wife making out with someone else in an NTR scene, hehe.
