Angel was not sent to the hospital and was in a coma for a day before she slowly woke up.
"You're awake!" The man sat at the head of the bed. Seeing her wake up, he picked up the cup of water, inserted a straw, held her head up and fed her.
After taking two sips, the angel shook his head: "She ran away, didn't she?"
"Every time I go out these past two days, someone follows me. I had someone buy your medicine for you these past two days!"
The man put the cup aside, his brow furrowed as he spoke.
Angel still felt limp. "Is someone causing trouble?"
"Yeah!" The man nodded. He had a bad feeling:
"She seems to be directing the people in the fighting arena to come this way. We should change positions tonight!"
Nodding, the angel looked at the man, "Are our people alright?"
The man pursed his lips, his expression not looking good, which made her heart skip a beat: "What's wrong?"
"Two are missing. I asked them to look for them! Don't worry!"
The man soothed the angel, helping her sit up and placing pillows behind her.
The angel said angrily, "What on earth is she going to do? Is she really going to send someone to kill me?"
"No, I think she just wants to force you to follow her. It's not like overseas. The limitations here are too great!"
The man saw the angel's uneasiness beneath his anger.
There was a very small sound outside the door. The two people looked at each other vigilantly. The man stood up, walked to the door and reached out to hold the handle.
The angel reached under the pillow, where a dagger lay.
bite!
It's the sound of metal falling into the world.
The man's face turned very bad. There was someone in the living room, so how could there be someone outside the door?
The door handle was gripped by someone, and the man felt that the person outside was about to open the door and come in.
"Where have you been these past two days? You didn't answer my calls, and you ignored my messages?"
As the door opened, Cao Yue's questioning voice was heard.
The man stood behind the door, watching Cao Yue walk in, murderous intent in his eyes.
Panic appeared on the angel's face, and he placed his right hand on the quilt and made a gesture:
"You...why are you here?"
Cao Yue walked in and looked around, but didn't see the man behind the door:
"You live in a nice place!"
The man behind the door saw the gesture and retreated quietly.
"I haven't been feeling well these past two days, so I'm resting at home!"
The angel spoke weakly and looked very frail.
His face was pale, his brows were slightly furrowed, and he looked pitiful.
Cao Yue believed the angel's words:
"As skinny as a little chicken, I don't know where all the food I eat every day goes!"
"How did you find this place?" the angel asked tentatively.
Cao Yue scratched his head, a little impatient:
"Didn't you send it to me when you replied to my message this morning?"
As soon as the angel heard this, he knew that it was Lan Xi who was behind this:
"Was there no one in the living room when you came in just now?"
"No! The doors are half open, and there's an unfinished lunch in the living room, for three people? Don't you live here alone?"
Cao Yue pointed in the direction of the living room.
Angel looked out the door: "My brother came to see me these past two days!"
Cao Yue looked in the direction of the angel and saw the man who had gone back. The next second he sneered:
"Huang Xin, if you're trying to fool me, at least find someone suitable! You're not even a unified race!"
"Hello! My name is Huang Chang, and I'm Xinxin's brother!"
The man walked up to Cao Yue, stood in front of him, and extended his hand.
Standing in front of Cao Yue, the man looked very tall, with broad palms and strong fighting power.
"Didn't I tell you? I didn't return to China until I was 15. I had been living abroad before that!"
The angel pretended to look confused, as if doubting his own memory.
Cao Yue stretched out his hand hesitantly, but was grabbed by Huang Chang. Although the angel looked gentle and frail, Huang Chang's hand was incredibly strong.
He held Cao Yue's hand tightly with a smile on his face.
Cao Yue felt uneasy. He regretted coming to see her today. "Hello, I'm Cao Yue!"
"I know, he's my sister's boyfriend!" Huang Chang let go of Cao Yue's hand, walked to the bedside and looked at Angel's IV drip.
Seeing that the bottle was almost empty, he lowered his head to help Angel remove the needle: "Would you like something to eat?"
The angel shook his head and smiled sweetly: "I'm not hungry!"
"Then I'll go out first, you guys chat!" Huang Chang picked up the infusion stand and reached out to touch the angel's head.
…
In the evening, Cheng Chiyan came to the restaurant that Sun Shishi had sent him. He looked at the door for a long time and found that there was no one inside.
"Brother Chi Yan!" Sun Shishi's voice came from behind as someone patted her shoulder.
Cheng Chiyan frowned and turned around: "I said! Don't call me..."
"I know! Can't you just stop yelling?"
Sun Shishi stuck out her tongue playfully, interrupting Cheng Chiyan.
Reaching out to open the door, Sun Shishi tilted her head and looked at Cheng Chiyan: "Chi Yan...Senior! Let's go in!"
Cheng Chiyan didn't go in immediately. He looked inside and asked, "Why is there no one here?"
"I booked the whole place. Isn't this just to apologize to you properly?"
Sun Shishi also looked inside and spoke in a very conceited tone.
Cheng Chiyan hated her tone. He seemed to have forgotten that compared to Sun Shishi, Lan Xi was the most conceited.
When she turned around and walked in, Sun Shishi smelled the faint scent of laundry detergent on Cheng Chiyan, and a moment of fascination appeared in her eyes.
In the private room, the dishes were served, and Sun Shishi poured a glass of red wine and handed it to Cheng Chiyan.
"I don't have much of an appetite. If you have anything to say, just tell me directly!"
