Chapter 113 Deliberate

"What kind of medicine did you spray me with?"

Angel felt herself growing weaker and weaker, her arms limp as she fell onto the bed. She felt strange; how could an inhalation spray be effective for such a long time?

Lan Xi immediately opened her eyes wide with innocence, and her fox eyes became cute:

"It has nothing to do with me. You should think about whether anyone has given you any medicine or IV drips in the past two days!"

After hearing this, the angel's face turned pale as if he had thought of something, and then he shook his head: "No, no!"

Lan Xi raised her eyebrows and said gloatingly:

"What did you...think of?"

Angel's eyes sternly looked at Lan Xi warily: "It has nothing to do with you!"

"Huang Chang treats you very well, right? After all, he's been the best person to you over the years. He even took a bullet for you, right?"

Lan Xi mentioned Angel's brother.

Angel's mind is now full of Lan Xi's words and the dripping thoughts on her head when she woke up two days ago.

Seeing that the angel began to lower his head to think about something, Lan Xi stood up and said, "Since you are doing well, I will leave first!"

Angel didn't expect Lan Xi to just leave. She asked anxiously, "Are you leaving just like that?"

Lan Xi stopped and reached out to pull out the knife that had just been nailed to the door. She turned back to look at the angel and frowned.

"What else? Keep it to take care of you?"

"Are you...are you telling the truth?"

The angel lowered her eyes to look at her body, and she sensitively felt that the extremities of her body had begun to become numb.

Lan Xi swung the knife in her hand casually, and the angel felt a chill on his neck as soon as he raised his head.

"Don't you already have someone you suspect? Go ask him! See if he tells you!"

Lan Xi's voice gradually faded away, and she disappeared at the door.

Something cool flowed down the angel's neck. He reached out and touched it. It was blood from the wound caused by the knife.

"What's wrong? Why is your neck bleeding? Did someone come here just now?"

As soon as Lan Xi left, Huang Chang came back.

Seeing the wound on Angel's neck, he ran to the living room to find the medicine box to bandage her.

The angel didn't say anything, just sat there woodenly, letting Huang Chang bandage her.

"What’s wrong with you?"

Huang Chang noticed something unusual about the angel and asked worriedly, "Why do you seem weaker today?"

"Don't you know why I am weak?" She raised her eyelids, looked at Huang Chang and said inquiringly.

Huang Chang's pupils slowly moved upwards, meeting the angel's gaze: "What are you talking about?"

Seeing his reaction, Angel's heart sank. Her hands in the quilt clutched the sheets tightly. The great grief and anger made her shrink back and avoid the cotton swab that was wiping the wound.

"What did she tell you!"

Seeing Angel's look, Huang Chang put down the cotton swab and distanced himself from her.

Huang Chang's attitude made the angel realize that he didn't care. "Don't you even try to pretend? Don't you try to make excuses?"

"You believe it, don't you? What else can I say?"

Huang Chang's expression was dull and his eyes became indifferent.

"So all your kindness to me is to get closer to me? To use me?"

Angel's eyes were filled with tears. The only person who had been kind to her over the years, the man she called family, coveted her like everyone else.

Huang Chang frowned, showing a distance that the angel had never seen before: "You can think so, for your own safety!"

Seeing him say such words so openly, Angel became even more disillusioned. She reached out with difficulty and pushed Huang Chang:

"Get out! Get out!"

However, she was too weak to touch Huang Chang, who stood up and said, "Rest well! I'm going out first!"

When he left, he took Angel's cell phone, literally putting her under house arrest.

Cheng Chiyan looked at the elevator nervously. The alarm rang, but Lan Xi didn't get out. He was reluctant to look away and started the car.

Just as he put the car in gear, someone knocked on the car window. Cheng Chiyan was so scared that his body shook and he almost stepped on the accelerator.

When he turned around, he saw Lan Xi pointing at the button next to him, indicating that he should open the door.

After searching frantically for a long time, he finally opened the door and Lan Xi sat in the passenger seat.

"Why don't you drive it!" Cheng Chiyan's face turned red with guilt. This sports car was too expensive.

"Stop talking nonsense and drive your car!" Lan Xi took off the mirror and looked up to check the red marks on her neck.

There was a shallow pink scratch, about the length of an index finger. Lan Xi reached out and touched it, and felt a tingling sensation.

The wound on her shoulder hasn't healed yet, and another one appeared on her neck. Lan Xi feels like she's been in trouble lately!
