Chapter 21 Contract

After getting in the car, Lan Xi sat in the back seat while Zhu Lingling drove: "Miss, we have to leave at 9 o'clock tomorrow!"

Lan Xi scrolled through her phone, hummed, and began typing:

"CP leader": It really looks like it, the more I look at it, the more alike it becomes!

"The Young Lady Arrives": Okay, how many days have you been feeling sentimental?

"First Affection": Yo! The young lady is showing up! Rare!

"The Miss Arrives": @cp boss, when can I change my group nickname?

「CP leader」: Oh, you are the best!

Attached at the end is an emoticon of a child making a heart shape with his hands.

Outside the group, a message popped up:

What are you thinking?

Look at the notes, it’s Fang Zhihuai!

Lan Xi frowned. She didn't know what Fang Zhihuai meant by this sentence:

【? 】

[The matter of finding a substitute for Shi Tinghan! ]

Looking at Fang Zhihuai's message, Lan Xi immediately blocked it. The last message before blocking it was:

【none of your business! 】

"Miss, Yang Ning..." Zhu Lingling looked at Lan Xi in the rearview mirror. She knew everything that happened in the club, and Lan Xi's attitude was very important at this time.

When Lan Xi raised her eyes, Zhu Lingling had already withdrawn her gaze. "Young Master Yang seems to be very idle lately. He has already learned how to set traps. Is the relationship between the Yang and Shi families too close?"

In one sentence, Zhu Lingling understood what Lan Xi meant. She thought for a moment and said, "I understand!"

Cheng Chiyan was sitting in the passenger seat and didn't understand what the two were talking about, but he knew that someone had provoked Lan Xi again!

"Cheng Chiyan, how are your preparations for the postgraduate entrance exam going?" Lan Xi changed the subject and turned the conversation to Cheng Chiyan.

Cheng Chiyan was a little stunned by the sudden question, then he turned to look at Lan Xi: "I'm preparing for the interview, the written test won't be a problem!"

Lan Xi glanced at him, said nothing, picked up her phone and continued looking at it.

After a while, Cheng Chiyan's phone vibrated. He picked it up and saw that Lan Xi had sent him an English interview script. He opened it and took a look. There was a part that he didn't quite understand.

"Study hard. It will help you with the interview. The written exam is only a few days away. I suggest you don't take it lightly. The written exam at Ocean University this year won't be easy!"

Lan Xi's voice sounded from the back seat, her tone flat.

Cheng Chiyan frowned and turned around: "Do you know the question?"

Lan Xi sighed silently, closed her eyes and ignored him.

Zhu Lingling also seemed speechless at his words: "Can you please have some brains?"

Cheng Chiyan looked at Zhu Lingling again, puzzled, "What's wrong?"

"You don't need to know what's going on. Just follow what the lady says!" Zhu Lingling was too lazy to explain to Cheng Chiyan. This guy had some issues.

Cheng Chiyan didn't ask any more questions. He lowered his head and looked at the interview English in his hand and began to read it silently.

When the car stopped in the underground parking lot, Zhu Lingling called Lan Xi softly, "Miss, we're here!"

Lan Xi opened her eyes, slightly bleary-eyed, and it seemed she had slept for a while: "Your driving skills have improved recently!"

Cheng Chiyan nodded in agreement when he heard this. He had to admit that this driver was much better than him.

After returning home, Lan Xi walked into the study and closed the door.

Cheng Chiyan changed into the slippers Zhu Lingling had prepared for him. When he walked into the living room, he saw the study door closed. He and Zhu Lingling met eyes, and Zhu Lingling spoke first, "Come with me to see the contract first!"

After saying that, she walked to her workshop, opened the door and saw Cheng Chiyan still standing there. Zhu Lingling frowned: "Why are you standing there? There are so many things to do, don't waste time!"

Cheng Chiyan hurried over and stood at the door. He said with some embarrassment, "Do I need to close the door?"

Zhu Lingling was operating the computer and didn't even look at him: "No need, just come in and sign!"

Cheng Chiyan went in and the contract had just been printed out. He looked at the paper which was still a little warm in his hand. It was covered with densely packed clauses, a total of 4 pages.

"Take a quick look and sign if there's no problem!" Zhu Lingling felt annoyed when she saw Cheng Chiyan's hesitation!

Two of them were equally ruthless, and the fourth discovered!

Cheng Chiyan quickly read through it, a look of shock on his face: "This won't do!"

Zhu Lingling's face turned cold: "Where?"

Cheng Chiyan pointed to a line on the paper: If necessary, you need to accompany Party A to the banquet!

Zhu Lingling took a look and pressed the pen into his hand. "You know you don't have the right to refuse! Sign it!"

Cheng Chiyan gritted his teeth. Didn't he say that if there were no problems, he could sign it? Why couldn't he raise any issues if there were?

"That was just a habitual expression of mine. It has nothing to do with you!" Zhu Lingling said this over his head as if she knew what he was thinking.

After Cheng Chiyan finished signing, Zhu Lingling sent him to take a shower.

After Cheng Chiyan came in, Zhu Lingling looked at the documents on the table and her long eyelashes trembled slightly.

She reached out and picked up the document and put it into the file bag. She wrote Cheng Chiyan's name on the outside and threw him into a drawer.

Sit down again, open the document, put on glasses and type something!

When Lan Xi came out of the study, Cheng Chiyan just came out of the second bedroom.

Zhu Lingling stood at the door with a glass of warm water in her hand: "Miss, drink some water!"

Lan Xi picked up the water cup and looked at Cheng Chiyan while drinking. Finally, she frowned and said, "Hurry up and arrange for him to change his skin color back to mine! It's so ugly!"

"Got it!" Zhu Lingling took the cup of water from Lan Xi, glanced at Cheng Chiyan and agreed.

Cheng Chiyan was about to say something when Zhu Lingling pulled him aside and gave him a warning look. She lowered her voice and said, "Don't forget what I said!"

Cheng Chiyan fell silent. He remembered what Zhu Lingling had told him when he left the workshop: "Don't ask, just do it!"
