When Lan Xi woke up from a nap and walked out of the bedroom, Bai Yun had already prepared lunch: a plate of mixed vegetables, a bowl of pork rib soup, a small dish of salad, and half a sweet potato. It looked very healthy.
Qin Xiangnan said that Lan Xi doesn't like strong-flavored food and doesn't eat staple foods.
Lan Xi wandered to the dining table, looked at the dishes on the table, then pulled out a chair and sat down.
"Drink some water before eating." Bai Yun said to Lan Xi.
There was a small cup of warm water on the right side. Lan Xi picked it up and drank it obediently, then pointed to the seat opposite her: "Let's eat together!"
Bai Yun was not polite either. She was not a nanny, so she didn't have that kind of master-servant mentality.
She brought the remaining dishes from the kitchen, made herself a bowl of plain noodles, and placed two blanched bok choy on top.
Lan Xi lowered her head and ate slowly. She ate very slowly and her eating manners were extremely elegant.
Bai Yun ate while looking for an opportunity to observe her. The Lan Xi she met today was different from the ones she had seen before, and she couldn't describe what was different.
"Go to the hospital this afternoon! I'm not home at night, and I usually don't come to dinner! Someone will issue you a contract, and your salary will be based on market value!"
Lan Xi knew that Bai Yun was observing her, but she didn't say anything and just ate her meal.
Bai Yun nodded: "Xingtang will be discharged from the hospital in three days. It will be more convenient for me then!"
Lan Xi was silent. Bai Yun thought for a moment and then said, "I'll rent a house nearby so Xingtang can go home on weekends!"
Lan Xi continued to remain silent!
After finishing most of the food on the plate, Lan Xi stood up, left the restaurant and went into the study.
After Bai Yun finished cleaning up, Lan Xi came out of the study with a card and a folder in her hand.
"There is an idle house in the small villa at the back, and no one lives there!" Lan Xi said, handing over the things in her hand.
Bai Yun frowned and subconsciously refused: "I can't accept this! This is inappropriate!"
Lan Xi threw it directly in front of her:
"Not everyone can live in this neighborhood, and there aren't any other houses nearby for you to live in. You know me, I'm a troublemaker and have a bad temper. I don't want to lose my temper with you!"
Bai Yun hesitated for a moment, then reached out and picked it up: "I will pay you the rent according to the market price!"
"Whatever you want!" Lan Xi turned around and curled up on the sofa.
The sweeper was working on the floor. Bai Yun found that she actually had nothing to do. After changing her clothes, she said to Lan Xi:
"I'm going back first and will come back tomorrow!"
Lan Xi was browsing her phone without saying anything!
Bai Yun came out of Lan Xi's house and took the elevator. She sighed in her heart that such a person was so easy to serve. He talked little, ate little, and did little work!
The elevator opened and she met Cheng Chiyan at the door.
"Ah...Auntie!" Cheng Chiyan's face turned red again, and he greeted her stiffly.
Bai Yun still couldn't remember who Cheng Chiyan was, but judging by his appearance, he should know her. She got off the elevator:
"Do you...know Xingdou?"
Cheng Chiyan was stunned, then his face turned even redder. He said awkwardly, "Yes, I know him!"
Bai Yun understood and nodded: "Okay, you go up! I'll leave first!"
Cheng Chiyan nodded repeatedly: "Okay, Auntie, take care!"
"Um!"
At 2 o'clock, the stylist came with a long line.
"Miss Lan, long time no see!" The leading stylist looked at Lan Xi and smiled attentively.
Lan Xi pointed at Cheng Chiyan and leaned back on the sofa: "Let's deal with him first, let me see the clothes you brought!"
"Okay!" the stylist agreed and turned around.
When he saw Cheng Chiyan, he was stunned. He turned to look at Lan Xi, who had already lowered her head to look at her phone.
He walked over and looked at Cheng Chiyan with deep confusion in his eyes.
"What's wrong?" Cheng Chiyan was stunned for a moment. He didn't know why he had such an expression.
The stylist smiled, reached out and touched Cheng Chiyan's face, exclaiming in admiration!
"Miss Lan, this one this time! It's really good!" He walked around Cheng Chiyan and said to Lan Xi.
Lan Xi looked up and said calmly, "It's okay! Your EQ is not high!"
The stylist called over his assistant and sorted out his tools. Upon hearing Lan Xi's words, he quickly replied, "Just be content! It's already great!"
Cheng Chiyan listened to the conversation between the two people in confusion, and finally reacted. His cheeks flushed red, and then turned pale.
Are they talking about themselves?
The feeling of humiliation had never been so strong. He felt that everyone around him was looking at him, and every word they said seemed to be discussing himself.
"Come on! Little beauty, let me style your hair!" The stylist packed up his tools and said to Cheng Chiyan.
Frowning in dissatisfaction, Lan Xi waved her hand and a new model came up to show the dress. She waved her hand again and another model came up.
After watching it twice in a row, Lan Xi was still not satisfied: "Enough, enough, it's too ugly! Go take a break!"
The models stepped back and the living room suddenly became spacious.
Lan Xi picked up her phone out of boredom and started to contact new dresses!
After a while, the doorbell rang and someone went to open the door.
"Miss Lan, my husband asked me to give you a dress. It's a unique piece he bought while on a business trip some time ago!"
The person who came was Shi Tinghan's special assistant, holding a box in his hand.
With a raised eyebrow and a strange feeling rising in his heart, Lan Xi pointed to someone to take it.
The box was not light, not even small. When the lid was opened, Lan Xi was stunned.
The dark red dress was pulled out of the box. It had a halter top, a nipped waist, and dark patterns embroidered with black thread mixed with silver. It didn't look like anything special.
