"You little bastard, you still have the nerve to come here? You've got us into this mess. I'm going to beat you to death when I get out!"
When Zhu Lingling's father saw Zhu Lingling in the visiting room, he couldn't control his emotions. He rushed up and slapped and hit the glass, his veins bulging with excitement.
The prison guard behind him stepped forward, took out his baton and hit him hard: "Watch your words!"
Zhu Lingling's mother followed her husband and looked at him excitedly. She reached out and held him:
"Husband, husband, don't get excited. The prison guards are still watching us from behind!"
Unlike Zhu's father who couldn't help but get excited, Zhu's mother was much calmer. She kept apologizing to the prison guards and reached out to pull her husband.
"Get out!" Zhu's father pushed his wife away and pointed at her and cursed:
"Don't think I don't know about the dirty things you did in prison. You found someone to back you, didn't you? Whore!"
Zhu Lingling sat on a chair, looking at the chaotic scene inside with an expressionless face, tapping her fingers lightly on the table.
Dadadada...
The prison guard next to him looked at Zhu's father who had lost his mind and called his colleagues over. The two of them gave him an electric baton and dragged him out.
"Lingling! You finally came to see us!"
Mother Zhu straightened her clothes, tucked her messy hair behind her ears, and sat down opposite Zhu Lingling!
Zhu Lingling didn't say anything. After not seeing her for three years, she found that Zhu's mother had gained a lot of weight and her words and actions had become calm and composed.
"You seem to be doing well!" Zhu Lingling leaned back and spoke coldly.
Next to Lan Xi, Zhu Lingling's appearance does not look that outstanding.
But when she walks alone in the crowd, she is still a real beauty, pitiful, pure and lovely.
It is conceivable that when Zhu's mother was young, she was also a famous village beauty in the surrounding area. However, in the village, beauty has never been a good thing.
Mother Zhu looked down at her clean and tidy prison uniform, her hand involuntarily touching her face, a smile on her face: "Really?"
She raised her head and looked at Lan Xi: "How are you...doing?"
"Is Miss Lan good to you?"
Anger flashed in Zhu Lingling's eyes. She didn't want to hear Lan Xi's name from this person's mouth. They were not worthy of mentioning her:
"What qualifications do you have to mention the young lady's name?"
"Kid, why are you so stressed? How could you have walked to Lan Xi without us?"
Mother Zhu sighed. When she looked at Zhu Lingling, there was no mother's love for her daughter in her eyes. Her eyes were as calm as the surface of the water without ripples.
"Oh!" Zhu Lingling hadn't expected her mother to say something like this:
"You've lived like a vampire for half your life, and now you can find someone to back you up even after you're in prison? That's really putting you in a difficult position!"
Zhu's mother was not ashamed of her daughter's humiliation. Instead, she smiled gently, and that smile was actually shy.
Zhu Lingling held her breath in her chest, unable to breathe in or out, and her hands on her legs were clenched so tightly that they were trembling slightly.
"You'll be 24 soon. I'll be out in a year, so I'll celebrate your birthday properly then! Don't you love the braised pork I make the most? Mommy will make it for you then!"
Mother Zhu smiled and stretched out her fingers to trace Zhu Lingling's face through the glass.
Zhu Lingling shuddered at her mother's words. She stood up from her chair with a bang, and the impact pushed the chair over. She pointed at the woman in front of her.
The latter smiled calmly and said softly, "Baby, are you excited? I'm excited too!"
Crazy! All crazy!
After a moment of fear, Zhu Lingling calmed down. She didn't sit down again. She lowered her eyes to look at Zhu's mother, and the corners of her mouth rose as if she had thought of something:
"When you come out, I'll prepare a big gift for you!"
"Thank you!" Knowing that Zhu Lingling was no longer interested in staying, Zhu's mother also stood up.
The two women looked at each other with smiles on their faces.
…
The teacup in the study was broken. Li Yulan came over and told me about it before lunch. It was really not a good thing that happened on New Year's Eve.
The old man waved his hand and said to the butler nonchalantly:
"Put the new tea set I prepared on it. It's the new year, so it's a good time to change it!"
"Yes, sir!" the butler agreed.
Lan Xi supported the old man and stood on his left and right with her uncle. She looked at Li Yulan.
She seems to be getting more confused as she gets older!
As Lan Xi was thinking this, she heard footsteps behind her. She turned around and saw Zhu Lingling's still pale face.
After greeting the old man in a low voice, she gestured to Zhu Lingling to go to the corner to talk.
"What's going on?" Lan Xi looked Zhu Lingling up and down. "Are there any changes with your parents?"
Zhu Lingling didn't answer directly. She hesitated for a moment and said, "I... want to go back to my room and adjust myself!"
"After lunch! The elders are all here today, it wouldn't be nice if you leave rashly!"
Lan Xi did not agree to her directly. The Lan family always holds a grand celebration for the New Year every year, and all the direct and collateral branches have to come together to celebrate the New Year.
After all, we haven’t seen each other for a year, so we are waiting to get together at grandpa’s house during the New Year.
"Xixi!" The old man's voice sounded not far away. Lan Tingxu supported the old man and looked at the two people talking over there.
"Coming!" Lan Xi turned around and answered, then looked at Zhu Lingling again.
Zhu Lingling forced herself to smile. She followed Lan Xi to Old Man Lan and greeted him with a smile, "Old sir!"
Mr. Lan nodded, took out a red envelope from his pocket, and handed it to Zhu Lingling:
"I can't make it to 12 o'clock today, this is a red envelope for you!"
Zhu Lingling looked at Lan Xi, who wasn't looking at her. She was just talking to Lan Tingxu. She took the gift with both hands and said respectfully, "Thank you, old sir!"
