Chapter 99 Dinner

Lan Xi responded to Cheng's mother's words with a smile, and her face turned red with embarrassment when she saw this woman who had never grumbled before.

Professor Zhang hurriedly asked, "Xixi, don't you want to have a bite?"

Lan Xi stood up, picked up her clothes and carried her bag, and smiled when she heard this:

"No, Professor Zhang! I never like this kind of environment. It gives me indigestion!"

She looked at Grandma Cheng again:

"Grandma, please eat first. I have things to do. If you have anything, you can just ask Cheng Chiyan to contact me next time!"

Grandma Cheng nodded, said nothing, and waved goodbye to Lan Xi.

The door opened and closed, and Lan Xi left.

The box fell into silence. Grandma Cheng finished her bowl of soup and reached out to hold the student's hand:

"Xiao Zhang, I was so reckless! I got you into trouble!"

Professor Zhang quickly shook the teacher's hand:

"You're too polite! Lan Xi's attitude is bad, please don't be angry!"

Grandma Cheng shook her head and said cheerfully:

"I'm not angry. Why should I be angry? Don't worry, I'm old now and I'm not the type to get angry about anything anymore!"

After saying this, Grandma Cheng turned around and looked at her daughter-in-law. She looked angry and cold, waving her hand in front of her:

"What's wrong with you?"

Mother Cheng came back to her senses but was still angry: "Mom, what do you think of her attitude?"

"What's his attitude? His attitude is already good enough. He didn't turn around and leave the moment he walked in. He walked in calmly, sat down, and talked to you with a smile. That's pretty good!"

The old lady was open-minded. With Lan Xi's status, she could just turn around and leave when she recognized someone, and she would even talk to you nicely.

Mother Cheng was not convinced, so she picked up a piece of food for her mother-in-law:

"But she is a junior after all, why should she be so bossy?"

The old lady picked up the chopsticks, took a bite, and then slowly said:

"Even when the princess was young, she would never bow down to an old scholar-woman!"

"Mom, you're saying those same things again!"

Cheng's mother spoke in an angry tone, but her expression looked much better.

The old lady smiled and said: "You think everyone is equal now, but in fact, classes have always existed!"

She pointed at Professor Zhang and then at her daughter-in-law:

"You guys! Too many of you are teachers, and you use what you teach your students on your own! You think that just because someone calls you a teacher, you can automatically teach and guide them. That's not the case!"

The two fell silent. What Grandma Cheng said made sense. It seemed that reality was so heartbreaking and hard to accept.

"Don't think about it, let's eat! After eating, let's go home early and contact Chi Yan to go home tomorrow!"

The old lady picked up some food for the two of them and spoke happily.

Lan Xi came out of the restaurant and felt a tightness in her chest.

When the phone rang, Lan Xi hung up without even looking at it.

Less than 5 seconds later, the phone rang again. Lan Xi's anger reached its peak. She pressed the answer button and her voice was filled with anger: "Speak!"

"Lan Xi, I didn't know my grandma came to see you. Don't be angry, I'll explain to them right away!"

On the phone, Cheng Chiyan's voice sounded panicked. It wasn't long after grandma's surgery, and Lan Xi didn't know how to talk. Don't get angry again.

Lan Xi didn't say anything, and the sound of high heels tapping on the ground came from the receiver.

Cheng Chiyan's heart tightened more and more, he knew! Lan Xi was angry!

"Cheng Chiyan!"

The calm voice made Cheng Chiyan tremble inexplicably: "You...you say!"

"Didn't I tell you to deal with that woman? Now it's trending on the Internet. Do you think it looks good?"

Cold words came from the other side. For some reason, Cheng Chiyan knew who the woman Lan Xi was talking about in just one second!

"I know, I'll go talk to her right now! Believe me, I'll go right now!"

Cheng Chiyan seemed to be running as he spoke, his voice trembling.

After hanging up the phone expressionlessly, Lan Xi opened the car door and got in!
