Chapter 50 Chapter 50 The Book Traveler.
"Why don't you ask which friend you are having dinner with?" Xia Ji said.
"Which friend are you having dinner with?" Si Cheng asked.
"I'm sorry about Xu Suxin and the others. You told me not to meet them again, but what happened today is related to my life experience." Xia Tian's tone was still light, but his heart unconsciously became heavy.
Si Cheng touched the back of his head with his big hand and said in a gentle voice, "What background do you have?"
"I'm not her biological child. My biological parents came to visit just now..." Xia Ji hugged Si Cheng's neck tightly with both hands.
Si Cheng walked to a bench on the street and sat down. "And then?"
"Then I was very unhappy because they hurt me." Xia Ji buried her face in Si Cheng's neck.
I was pretending to be aggrieved at first, but the more I was coaxed, the more aggrieved I became, and my eyes really got a little wet.
Si Cheng's face darkened considerably, as if he couldn't bear even the slightest bit of hurt. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath. "I won't do that again. Just stay by my side, and no one can hurt you."
Xia Ji raised her head, pursed her lips, and looked at Si Cheng, her big eyes still wet.
Si Cheng pinched his chin, their faces so close to the ground that they could hear each other's breathing. "Be good, and no one can hurt you."
If Xia Ji could stay by his side and only stay by his side, no one would give him the slightest bit of coldness or malice.
But he can't lock up the summer, because he likes this lively summer.
Xia Ji rubbed his face and said, "I've been very good, please don't say that to me anymore."
Si Cheng touched the back of his head.
"What are you going to do about grandpa?" Xia Ji asked gloomily.
"We moved out, and he's the one who's in the passive position."
"Isn't this too bad for Grandpa?"
"There is no better way. Let me calculate. He will ask us to go back by Mid-Autumn Festival at the latest." Si Cheng said.
To be honest, he didn't care about this matter at all. The old man just wanted to be respectable and have children.
He felt that there was nothing dishonorable about it. He and Xia Ji grew up together and had been together for more than ten years. Nothing could be more decent than this.
Time will make the old man change his mind.
As for children, with the advancement of technology, there are many children born from artificial wombs. However, the old man is old-fashioned and feels that a child without a mother is like a missing piece.
Si Cheng asked the driver to drive back, and he drove Xia Ji's car, and the two returned to the apartment.
Si Cheng hadn't eaten yet, and Xia Ji hadn't eaten anything either, so he asked the nanny to make two bowls of noodles.
The next day, Si Cheng went to work, and Xia Ji went walking alone on the street. While picking desserts in a cake shop, he suddenly bumped into someone.
Their eyes met, Xia Tian was shocked and took a deep breath.
Su Jia's eyes were full of mockery, "Xia Ji, huh? No, I shouldn't call you Xia Ji, I should call you the book traveler."
Xia Tian's whole body tensed up instantly, and his eyes widened with excitement.
The two sat down at a small table next to the floor-to-ceiling window on the second floor of the cake shop.
Xia Tian appears calm on the surface, but his mind is in turmoil.
I thought the matter was almost settled, but how come another time traveler appears?
"You said that if we don't change the plot, we can still return to the real world after the plot ends?" Xia Tian asked.
"Yes," Su Jia said. "I've been following this story closely since I traveled here two months ago, waiting for Si Cheng and Su Chun to meet. I didn't expect to see news about you and him being together."
"How do you know this?" Xia Tian's eyes were deep. If there were acquaintances here, they would find that he looked a bit like Si Cheng when he was angry.
Su Jia was suppressed by his aura, his eyes were flustered for a second, and he swallowed his saliva, "I knew it when I crossed over."
"Then how come I don't know? Besides, I came here earlier than you and have lived here for more than ten years. If you say that you can only go back if the plot doesn't change, then you are doomed to never go back, because the plot has already changed."
Xia Tian examined every expression on Su Jia's face and felt as if he was lying.
"No, if you leave Sicheng, everything will return to normal." Su Jia said firmly.
"Do you think everyone here is fake?" Xia Tian asked.
Su Jia didn't say anything.
"I think everyone here is genuine," Xia Tian said. "I don't care what your intentions are. Please stay away from my life, because I don't believe a word you say."
Su Jia took a deep breath, feeling even more resentful. Why could he be with the protagonist, while he was just a passerby? Why did he reach the pinnacle of life after traveling through a book, while he remained the same after traveling through a book?
Xia Tian didn't bother to pay attention to him. He picked up the cup, drank the black tea in one gulp, and waved, "Waiter, pay the bill."
Su Jia leaned forward excitedly, "Don't you want to go back?"
Xia Ji tilted his head and smiled, "I don't want to."
The waiter came over and Xia Ji handed over the card, "For two people."
"I'll pay for it myself!" Su Jia said loudly.
"Then I'll pay for myself." Xia Ji said to the waiter in a relaxed tone.
I thought I had found my fellow villager, but I didn't expect him to be my enemy.
The waiter swiped the card and left.
Xia Ji stood up, and Su Jia followed suit.
"Aren't you afraid that I will tell Sicheng about this?" he said suddenly, as if he had grasped Xia Tian's lifeblood.
Summer frowned.
"You are able to be with Si Cheng because you knew the plot in advance and understood his preferences, right?" Su Jia said with a smile.
Xia Tian's eyes drooped and wandered, and finally he raised the corner of his mouth, "Just say what you want to say, as soon as possible."
After saying that, he picked up his backpack and shopping bags and left.
Su Jia kept staring at him until he walked out of the store and merged into the crowd.
Xia Tian was very confused, he knew that this was the last thing Heng Heng would do between him and Si Cheng.
Si Cheng’s heart knot is the grudge from his previous life.
Suspicion is his nature.
If you really tell him that this world is actually a book, he has read it before crossing over, and understands everything about it.
Si Cheng, what would he think? With his proud personality, could he accept it?
Just as I was thinking about it, I suddenly heard a horn sound in my ears.
It was a taxi. The driver stuck his head out and cursed, "It's a red light, don't you have eyes?"
"Sorry." Xia Ji quickly retreated to the side of the zebra crossing, only to find that he couldn't go yet because the light was not green yet.
"He looks quite handsome, but his eyes are so big that he can't see the road." The driver said loudly and drove away.
I don't know when this problem started, but when I'm in a bad mood, my stomach feels uncomfortable and I feel like vomiting.
Xia Ji looked down at the small cake in his hand, then glanced at the child waiting for the traffic light next to him.
"Little boy, do you want to eat cake?"
The child stared at the beautiful mousse cake in his hand. The child's mother was puzzled and pulled the child to her side.
"I just bought this. Now I don't feel like eating it. It's not poisoned. Children can eat it." Xia Ji said to the lady.
The cake is from a well-known chain brand and is very expensive. There is a prominent logo on the bag and it has not been opened yet.
"No thanks." The lady said politely.
"Mom, I want to eat cake." The child looked up at his mother.
"Take it if you want to eat it. It's still fresh." Xia Ji handed him the cake.
The child reached out to take it, and the lady didn't stop him. She looked down at the child helplessly, "What do you want to say to your brother?"
"Thank you, brother." The child said happily.
Xia Ji waved at him, and the light turned green, so he strode away.
In the evening, Si Cheng came home from get off work, wearing a shirt and trousers, with his tie loosened. He handed his coat to the nanny and asked, "What about summer?"
"In his room," the nanny said. "He seemed a little unhappy. He'd been lying in bed all afternoon."
Si Cheng nodded and walked directly towards the bedroom.
The double bed was very large, with a small bulge in the gray-blue quilt in the middle.
Si Cheng unconsciously slowed down his movements and gently lifted the quilt.
I just woke up in the summer and hid under the quilt to check my phone.
Si Cheng lifted the quilt and saw a pair of big eyes.
"What are you doing so secretly?" someone complained.
"I thought you were sleeping." Si Cheng completely lifted the quilt, "Get up and eat."
"I don't want to eat." Xia Ji dragged out his tone.
"Why don't you eat?" Si Cheng sat down beside the bed.
"I don't want to eat. I have no appetite."
Si Cheng reached out and touched his soft, flat belly. "Why do you feel like you've lost weight recently? You never eat."
"You haven't lost weight, okay? I maintain my weight very well and weigh myself every morning." Xia Tian said speechlessly.
"If you don't feel unwell, get up and eat."
"I don't want to eat." Xia Ji pulled the quilt to cover himself again.
Si Cheng could tell that he was upset, so he threw the quilt onto the sofa. "If you have something to say, then tell me. If not, then eat. What did I tell you? If you have something to say, tell me. Don't hide it from me!"
"Then I don't want to say it!" Xia Tian said loudly, tears appearing in the corners of his eyes.
He was afraid that if he told Si Cheng, he wouldn't be able to accept it and would leave him.
"I just don't want to say it! Why are you forcing me like this!" She couldn't hold back her tears.
Si Cheng was stunned for a moment, then sat back down and tried to hold the person in his arms.
Xia pushed him hard, but failed.
"What happened?" Si Cheng couldn't figure out why he suddenly reacted so strongly. "How can I help you solve it if you don't tell me?"
"I don't need you to help me solve it." Xia Ji sniffed and rubbed his nose on Si Cheng's shirt to wipe away his tears.
Si Cheng pinched his chin, made him look up, and looked into his eyes. "Is there anything else I don't want to know?"
Xia Ji opened his mouth, then remembered Su Jia's threats and buried his head again, whimpering, "Ahhh, I'm so annoyed."
Si Cheng hugged him and patted his back. "If you don't tell me, do you want me to keep guessing?"
"Then let me tell you, what if you don't want me anymore?" Xia Ji said sullenly.
"How could I not want you?" Si Cheng said helplessly, "When have I not thought of you and kept you by my side? I think of you wherever I go. Even when we're apart, I always think of how to bring you something delicious and fun."
Xia Ji was about to cry again. She buried her head in his arms and hugged Si Cheng's waist tightly with her hands.
"Liang Xuan and the others always tell me to just hang you up on my belt. How could they not want you?" Si Cheng touched his head.
