Chapter 145 The Value of Kuiming
Bai Xiaoxiao jumped off the couch in a hurry.
She pulled down the whip hanging on the wall and ran to the front hall with an aggressive look as if she was looking for someone to fight. However, this time the front hall was far from as quiet as the two times she had come before. Ghost soldiers wearing black armor and iron helmets stood solemnly on both sides with spears in their hands.
Bai Xiaoxiao's heart tightened, but she rushed past them with the arrogant aura of Her Highness Gui Ji and entered the hall: "Father!"
"My son is here."
The man in a high position was not annoyed by her rudeness, but instead looked at her with a happy smile.
"What about that fool? He didn't serve me well and actually ran away. Father, you must make the decision for me."
"My son, be obedient, he has important things to do."
The man ignored the little girl's unreasonable behavior and stared outside the hall with a fanatical look.
tread--
tread--
The sound of footsteps, neither hurried nor slow, was heard softly.
A strong and foul smell of blood filled the entire hall.
Kui Ming gently lifted the curtain of the hall. In one hand he held a shiny black spear, and in the other hand he held a bloody ghost head. He glanced at Bai Xiaoxiao lightly, without saying a word, and just threw the ghost head at the feet of the man in high position.
“Hahahahahahaha!”
The man laughed wildly, staring at the hideous head and stomped on it hard, "You didn't expect that you would have this day." He exerted force suddenly, and the head with white holes was crushed into pieces. White brain matter, red blood, black dead fluid... all flowed out at once. The man did not mind the stench, and laughed even louder.
"Father, he..."
Bai Xiaoxiao's heart was trembling.
"Just a traitor."
The man wiped the liquid from his fingertips nonchalantly. "My son, you don't understand the affairs of state. You only need to know that this guy has always been against father, and even wants to join forces with others to usurp the throne!"
"Humph! How could I possibly let them succeed!"
"What about him..."
Bai Xiaoxiao glanced at Kui Ming who was standing quietly and asked.
"he?"
The man raised his eyebrows, walked down the steps, came to Kui Ming, stretched out his hand and patted his shoulder: "You are worthy of being my good son."
Kui Ming dodged his hand.
The man's expression changed slightly, but he quickly returned to normal. "Hahahaha, it's nothing, nothing. There was some misunderstanding between us father and son before, but now we can talk it out."
Kui Ming still ignored him, turned around and walked out of the hall.
The people who stayed behind no longer suppressed their low mood, and their gloomy faces looked like those of authentic black coal balls.
Bai Xiaoxiao: "Father, what happened to him?"
But the man obviously didn't want to answer her question.
"Go back. Remember, be nice to your brother from now on. Don't treat him like you did before."
"yes."
When Bai Xiaoxiao left the front hall, she saw Kui Ming surrounded by ghost soldiers. Kui Ming had a blank expression on his face. Even though he was praised and surrounded by many ghost soldiers, his expression remained unchanged. Compared with the previous two days, he looked even more empty, like an inorganic puppet.
Kui Ming saw her looking at him for a moment, then left with the ghost soldiers.
"Going to war again?"
Bai Xiaoxiao asked unconsciously, and the maidservant behind her hurriedly said, "Yes, His Majesty the King of Hell has assigned His Majesty a lot of tasks again. I'm afraid he won't be back for four or five months."
What exactly happened?
Bai Xiaoxiao thought about it for a long time, but she just tossed her sleeves and said, "It's better to leave. My father actually told me to treat him better. What a fool is he."
