Chapter 108

The ground was mottled and covered with ravines. Cang Ruo Yao Zun was desperately protecting the gentle woman behind him. He looked at Mo Qing with a sharp gaze and said angrily, "I believe in you. I have never doubted you. Mo Qing! How are you going to give me an explanation? Contact Jiulian now and make him stop now!"

Mo Qing's right cheek was split by lightning, leaving a bloody wound. He turned around and calmly looked at the nearly mad Cang Ruo Demon Lord. His eyes were exhausted, and his lips were barely raised, but the smile was no longer as elegant and dazzling as it had been hundreds of years ago. Instead, it was like the dejected loser, completely defeated.

"If I could have contacted him and asked him to stop...why would I have waited another ninety-three years?"

Demon Lord Cang Ruo trembled. "No! You can definitely make him stop. You definitely can. Aren't you friends for life and death? Haven't you known each other for thousands of years? He is your friend, how can you not make him stop? For you, he can't continue like this!"

Mo Qing was silent.

Demon Lord Cang Ruo continued, "At most, in ten years, you won't be able to hold on any longer. The result will be your soul being torn apart. He is your good friend, how could he possibly watch you die!"

Mo Qing remained silent.

Demon Lord Cang Ruo suddenly stopped talking and burst into laughter. Suddenly, he transformed into a golden dragon and rushed towards Mo Qing frantically, but heard a soft female voice: "Brother Ruo, don't!"

The dragon suddenly stopped when it was about to hit Mo Qing.

Cang Ruo turned his dragon head and looked at the woman standing behind him. She looked exhausted, with scars of varying sizes covering her body. However, she still managed a gentle smile, saying, "Even if you only have a few years left, please stay with me for a while... okay?"

Hot tears flowed from the huge dragon eyes.

Mo Qing slowly opened his eyes, and upon seeing this scene, he sighed silently. He walked away, leaving the place to the couple. Before leaving, he uttered only one sentence, a sentence that seemed to have exhausted all his strength: "Demon Lord Cang Ruo, if you really want to take revenge on Jiulian, I will wait for you a hundred miles from here. Let you cut me into pieces, let it eat away my bones and gnawing at my heart, and I, Mo Qing... will bear the brunt of Jiulian's punishment."

As soon as he finished speaking, Mo Qing turned into a stream of light and disappeared on the vast plain.

The land was covered in dark brown blood, a spiderweb of blood tangled throughout. Under the thunderbolt, no one could escape, and even the last remains of the dead were shattered into pieces, leaving them completely dismembered.

The pressure from the Heavenly Dao was hundreds of times stronger than the pressure from the heavenly thunder that Luo Jianqing had ever seen before.

The thunder seemed tireless, striking down relentlessly. It wasn't truly unconscious, but rather incredibly vicious. After the hundred or so venerables perished, it wouldn't strike the earth, but only the spot a hundred miles away where Mo Qing was, towards the Demon Venerable Cang Ruo, and towards the woman he protected behind him.

Another three years passed.

"I don't believe it! I don't believe it!"

A flash of golden light passed, and a massive golden dragon soared upward, soaring into the sky, madly crashing into the terrifying black thundercloud. However, a flash of lightning filled the heavens and earth, and instantly, the dragon was struck down by the divine thunderbolt, collapsing to the ground. Its golden scales were colorless, and a deep wound, visible to the bone, crisscrossed its back, oozing blood.

Zisong immediately ran over and held Cang Ruo, who had turned into a human form, in his arms.

Blood continued to flow from Cangruo's mouth. Zisong poured her demonic power into his body, trying to save him. However, it was all in vain. Cangruo gently reached out and gently stroked the face of his beloved. His eyes were very gentle, as if he was looking at the most precious treasure in the world.

Hot tears flowed from Zisong's eyes and hit Cangruo's cheeks.

The breeze blew up a cloud of sand, and even more terrifying thunder was brewing in the thunderclouds.

Tears were already dripping down her face uncontrollably, but Zisong still wore the softest smile, like the most beautiful sunflower on Dragon Island in tens of thousands of years. Her gentle smile made all the flowers bloom. She said softly, "Brother Ruo, your strength is higher than that of Mo Qing. You can still live for another twenty years."

Cang Ruo wanted to speak, but the blood flowing from his mouth blocked his words.

"I spent a thousand years lost in the Valley of Rebirth, and a thousand years training freely in the Second Sea. The thing I'm most grateful for in this life is that when I turned two thousand, I went to the First Sea to celebrate your birthday." Her gentle smile was like bright sunshine, shining brightly even though there were dark clouds behind it. "What would have happened if I hadn't met you, Brother Ruo?"

"Purple...chorus..."

"Don't say anything," Zisong smiled. "Brother Ruo, among the sixty-four demon lords, my strength is at the bottom. I shouldn't be alive now."

"Purple Song..."

"So, Brother Ruo, what else can I be dissatisfied with..." After the words fell, Zisong's helpless smile became even more intense. She lowered her head, kissed Cangruo on the forehead, gently put him on the ground, and stared at him seriously.

This glance seemed to last forever.

When this glance ended, Zisong turned around without hesitation and walked towards the crisscrossing thunderclouds.

"Purple Song!"

Cang Ruo struggled to his feet. He grabbed Zi Song's hand, only to see her turn and smile at him. Her smile was as gentle as when they first met, like a ray of sunlight suddenly streaming in, illuminating the entire First Sea. She said softly, "When your soul scatters, Brother Ruo, I will meet you in every corner of heaven and earth."

As soon as the words fell, a purple light flashed, and suddenly, a purple fire kite spread its wings and flew high into the thundercloud.
