Chapter 118 Master is back!

Chapter 118 Master is back!

Ya Feiyu opened his eyes.

His vision was blurred by tears, making it impossible to see anything clearly. Only a figure that suddenly appeared in the room stood out. Despite his usual wariness, he didn't instinctively repel this figure. Instead, he relaxed considerably because of the aura emanating from it. His tightly furrowed brows eased slightly, and something warm approached him, gently wiping away the tears at the corners of his eyes. Ya Feiyu stared blankly, only to have warm, dry lips press against his. Ya Feiyu was startled for a moment, then immersed himself in this lingering tenderness.

"...Ye Chi..." he murmured softly, "How long has it been?"

Upon hearing this, Ye Chi's heart skipped a beat. He said, "It's only been a few weeks, Master."

Ya Feiyu paused for a moment, and it was unclear what he was thinking. His previously solemn expression seemed to soften considerably. He gently curled his lips and said, "It's only a few weeks... that's fine."

"I've lived here for decades." Ya Feiyu gazed into Ye Chi's deep eyes, a faint longing lingering in their silver depths. Hearing this, Ye Chi's brows furrowed with heartache. No wonder he reacted that way when he recognized him earlier; long-sealed memories had suddenly been awakened. Seeing his lover, lost in his memories for decades, it was no wonder Ya Feiyu reacted this way. Thinking this, Ye Chi wrapped his arms tightly around Ya Feiyu's slender waist. The air conditioning was set low, but the cold air couldn't steal his body heat. Ya Feiyu thought, even the winter heating couldn't compare to the warmth of the person before him.

“I’m fine, Ye Chi,” Ya Feiyu gently stroked his eyebrows, smoothing out his furrowed brows, and said slowly, “I live a normal life, I haven’t suffered, I haven’t been bullied, it’s just that I feel a little lonely when I can’t see you.”

Ye Chi's dark eyes were as soft as ice melting in spring, filled with a misty light, his gaze incredibly gentle. He buried his face in Ya Feiyu's fragrant neck, taking a deep breath—a scent he thought he would never experience again. Tears welled up in his eyes. He wasn't a sentimental person, but in front of Ya Feiyu, all his rational defenses seemed to crumble into fragile bubbles in an instant. His voice was hoarse from suppressing his emotions as he said, "Master, I thought I would never see you again."

Ya Feiyu glared at him reproachfully, "What nonsense are you talking about?"

Ye Chi didn't respond, just leaned against Ya Feiyu's chest in silence. Ya Feiyu let him be, and gradually, a piece of fabric around his neck became damp. When he realized this, Ya Feiyu was a little lost in thought, and subconsciously raised his hand to touch Ye Chi's shoulder. Only then did he realize that Ye Chi was trembling. He felt helpless, bittersweet, and a strange sweetness in his heart.

“…Don’t cry,” he leaned closer and whispered, “It hurts me too.”

Two souls from another world declare their secret love on a rainy night, leaning against each other, hoping that tonight will be a warm night.

...

Ya Feiyou gently touched the smooth crystal ball, her eyes closed, brows relaxed, and a smile playing on her lips, as if she had drifted into a sweet dream. Yi Fengchun waited anxiously to the side, her gaze fixed on the extremely conspicuous spacetime rift in mid-air. Space had been torn open out of thin air, revealing only a glimpse of a sky adorned with dazzling stars. For Yi Fengchun, this was a sight she had never seen before. In the past, she would certainly have had the leisure to appreciate the structure of this rift, but now… forget it, she wasn't in the mood.

Suddenly, Ya Feiyou paused slightly with her fingertips and slowly opened her eyes.

The next second, a dazzling white light shot out from the crack. Yi Fengchun instinctively dodged to the side, and two figures emerged from the air, gradually transforming from illusory shadows into solidified forms. Ya Feiyu, still dressed in modern clothing, felt unusually awkward standing in this strange yet familiar environment.

Even if her memories returned, this place would still be somewhat unfamiliar to Ya Feiyu. But that wasn't a big deal.

"Senior brother!" The emotions that had been bottled up inside him for days burst forth in an instant. Yi Fengchun could barely contain his feelings any longer, and his voice trembled with sobs, "Senior brother, I'm so glad you're alright..."

Ya Feiyu looked at her, his eyes filled with complex and unfathomable emotions. He lowered his silver eyes and smiled at her, saying, "Mm."

—A sudden change occurred.

Suddenly, the heavens and earth seemed to shatter. The sky trembled, gradually turning crimson from a corner of the horizon, a glaring and terrifying sight. Ya Feiyu's pupils constricted sharply, accompanied by a powerful tremor. Ya Feiyu frowned, pulling back the curtains. Her room had an excellent location, offering a direct view of the boundless ocean. The crimson seawater visibly surged, brewing towering waves that crashed against the high walls of the Sea Palace, each wave higher than the last.

Looking up, the eerie, eye-like rift reappeared in the air.

Because of Ya Feiyu's return, the world once again collapsed. It seems the mastermind behind it all was quite displeased, tearing away the facade of beauty to reveal the crisis beneath. Previous memories resurfaced, plunging the world into panic. From above, below the Sea Palace, helpless crowds thronged, a dense mass of heads—a chilling sight. Ya Feiyou glanced at them briefly before averting her gaze, fixing it on Ya Feiyu, who was kneeling and trembling. Only after the tremors subsided did her paleness begin to improve. Ye Chi asked with concern, "Is Master alright?"

“I’m fine, I just have a bit of a…” he trailed off, “My parents in another world died in a huge earthquake.”

Ye Chi was taken aback and was about to speak to comfort Ya Feiyu when the latter, as if she had expected it, raised her hand to interrupt him, looked at Ya Feiyou, and slowly propped herself up with her weak body. The two pairs of extremely similar silver eyes looked at each other.

"What should I do?" The fist hanging at his side clenched slightly. "This all started because of me, and I must end it with my own hands."

Ya Feiyou didn't answer immediately. Her beautiful, affectionate eyes stared at him for a long while, her slightly drooping eyebrows making her expression appear as compassionate as a deity. After a long pause, she finally said, "Do you really want to break the laws of the world and confront the Heavenly Dao that you can never reach?"

Ya Feiyu chuckled softly, as if he had heard a rather amusing joke.

“What kind of humans are they if they have no ambition?” A bloodthirsty glint seemed to flash in Ya Feiyu’s silver eyes. “In Cen Dao’s book, I am already dead. No one can alter the life of a dead person. I am someone he can no longer control.”

Beneath his long eyelashes, his eyes shone with a terrifyingly cold light, and almost no one dared to look directly into those eyes that were as cold as silver. "If we don't take risks now, are we going to wait until it's too late to come back later? You know, Ya Feiyou, I'm never the type to run away from problems."

Ya Feiyou seemed moved. Her lips, which had initially seemed about to say something, closed again, forming a faint smile. "Heh, that's true. If you were the type to run away, you wouldn't have risked your life to save me."

“I will help you,” Ya Feiyou said seriously again. Her gaze swept over the crystal ball on the table. The scene inside was initially a peaceful starry sky, but now a strange black hole had suddenly appeared at the center, swallowing all the surrounding stars. Ya Feiyou casually walked to the crystal ball, gathered a wisp of spiritual power at her fingertips, and easily crushed the clear glass.

Looking at the shattered pieces on the ground, her beautiful eyes clearly reflected the chaotic scene. The crystal ball was broken, yet it could still reflect the stars; the broken glass shards pieced together to form a fragmented picture of the universe.

This time, the black hole that swallowed light was no longer visible.

She finally smiled with satisfaction, turning to meet Ya Feiyu's gaze. That one glance seemed to transcend time and space, bridging barriers and hatred, simply revealing the purest essence of each other's souls. Ya Feiyu was the first to regain her senses, offering a faint smile. No matter when, whether in her past life, this life, or the future, no matter if Ya Feiyu had lost her memories or her body had changed, her soul remained the same—the same pure and passionate soul standing before her, speaking to her in the cleanest of tones.

For some reason, she suddenly felt an urge to cry, a strong sense of bitterness welling up inside her, causing her eyes to redden. But Ya Feiyou and Ya Feiyu were from the same lineage, not only in appearance but also in their stubborn personalities. She turned her head away, not wanting the three people present to see her current disheveled state, her voice still feigning lightness: "However, if you die, I won't be there to collect your body."

With two soft laughs, Ya Feiyu said, "He won't die."

“A phoenix will not die in a boring flame,” Ya Feiyu said, her long, dark hair moving without wind. Suddenly, the tightly closed door was torn open by a burst of intense demonic energy. Ye Chi and Yi Fengchun retreated warily, each extending one hand to shield Ya Feiyu behind them. They probably still assumed that Ya Feiyu was the same body of a cripple who had lost all spiritual power. After all, how could a body that had clearly never undergone any training possibly possess spiritual power?

Demonic energy surged in from all directions, invading not only the doors but also the windows and even the smallest cracks in the roof. Almost every possible opening was filled with demonic energy, which seemed to have a life of its own, inching closer and closer to the four people in the center of the room. Ya Feiyu, however, remained completely calm. The wind ruffled his bangs, and a divine seal that shone with brilliant golden light appeared on his smooth forehead.

With a wave of his hand, golden light burst forth, blasting away all the demonic energy.

"The previous body was severely restricted, but this body, which has been well-nurtured, can better activate the bloodline of the Tianyu Clan."

Ya Feiyu smiled and asked, "In that case, is it possible to contend with the will of Heaven?"
