Chapter 101 The Culprit

Suddenly, the door was opened.

Jiang Yuetong quickly pushed the person aside and looked over. She saw Li Qingrong smiling and saying, "Don't worry, with the spiritual spring water you gave her, she'll be better soon."

She naturally believed in Li Qingrong's abilities.

But when she heard her say that Yao Yao was alright, Jiang Yuetong finally felt a weight lifted from her heart. She asked with a deep gaze, "When will Yao Yao wake up?"

Li Qingrong thought for a moment: "At most one hour."

"Thank you!" Jiang Yuetong looked at her with a very serious expression.

Li Qingrong subconsciously reached out and patted her shoulder. After realizing what she meant, the two looked at each other.

They were all stunned.

After regaining her senses, Jiang Yuetong raised her delicate eyebrows and glanced indifferently at the hand on her shoulder.

Li Qingrong awkwardly withdrew her hand quickly.

"Um... I'll head back to the sect now." Li Qingrong stopped after taking a few steps and said, "By the way, she might get a fever in the middle of the night, so you'd better keep an eye on her."

Jiang Yuetong parted her red lips slightly: "Okay, I understand."

After Li Qingrong left the hut, Jiang Yuetong did not withdraw the barrier, but turned around and quickly walked to the bedside.

Jiang Xinyao had been cleaned up, but her face was pale. Seeing the person who had been alive suddenly turn into this state, Jiang Yuetong couldn't help but clench her fists.

A series of footsteps came from outside the door.

Jiang Yuetong got up, quickly left, and closed the door. Her dark eyes gazed at Qingfeng, who was covered in blood, and she asked calmly, "How did it go?"

Qingfeng lowered his head slightly and said, "That dog emperor is at least pragmatic; he handed the people over to us to deal with."

They also assured the master that they had no intention of starting a war, that they were unaware of the matter beforehand, and that they would do their best to compensate the second young lady if she named her terms.

At this point, Qingfeng paused before continuing, "I specifically investigated, and that dog emperor was indeed unaware of the matter. As for the cause of the incident, I have already sent people to arrest the culprit."

Jiang Yuetong curled her lips into a cold laugh. The dog emperor was putting on a pretty good show on the surface.

Unfortunately, she was not someone to be easily appeased.

"They severed ties quite quickly, but then again, that dog emperor already has more than a dozen daughters, one more won't make a difference." A ruthless glint flashed in Jiang Yuetong's eyes.

Upon hearing this, Qingfeng lowered his head and dared not utter a sound.

"What's done is done, and there's no going back. Let them all pay the price."

At this point, Jiang Yuetong seemed to recall something, a cold smile curling at the corner of her lips: "I heard that the emperor's cousin is coveting the throne..."

Qingfeng immediately understood and knelt on one knee, saying, "This subordinate will certainly not disappoint the master!"

Jiang Yuetong quickly looked away from him, turned to look at the closed door, and said calmly, "After you catch the culprit, go and do it immediately."

"Yes!" Qingfeng got up and left quickly.

Seeing that she was staring intently at the door, Lu Jingliang knew she was really worried, so he didn't try to dissuade her. Instead, he reached out and pulled over a chair for her to sit on.

As soon as she sat down, Jiang Yuetong turned around and glanced at him.

Seeing this, Lü Jingliang subconsciously raised his hand and gently rubbed her head, the meaning in his eyes was very clear.

I'll stay with you.

...

As time passed, night fell.

Qingfeng finally reappeared in the cabin, carrying a man with a bruised and swollen face.

Without any hesitation, he threw the man to the ground and turned to Jiang Yuetong, saying, "Master, it's this brat! He's already engaged, yet he dared to provoke our Second Miss. He deserves to be torn to pieces!"
