Chapter 89: Immortal Immortal

Mo Yaya didn't think much about it, she just thought that she was lucky, or that her sister's spirit in heaven was blessing her.

A few days later, Mo Yaya walked into a village where dozens of families lived.

The villagers were all very warm and kind. When one family saw Mo Yaya, who was dirty and deformed from hunger, they quickly took her into their house and took care of her.

Mo Yaya's body had indeed reached its limit. Seeing how enthusiastic the villagers were, she took the opportunity to recuperate in the village for two days.

With the help, Mo Yaya finally had a hot meal and slept on a bed with bedding. She was so moved that she cried non-stop.

Especially the villagers' meticulous care reminded Mo Yaya of her deceased sister Liu Chuyao.

Since I was born, apart from Liu Chuyao, it seems that only the villagers have been so kind to me.

Two days later, Mo Yaya's physical condition had not recovered yet, but she still got out of bed impatiently.

Just then, a little boy of about six or seven years old walked into the room, looked at Mo Yaya who had gotten out of bed, and asked in confusion, "Sister, where are you going?"

Mo Yaya scratched her head and said, "Uh, I want to move my body."

She couldn't say that she was going to look for an immortal, right?

"Sister, have you recovered? Then I will take you for a walk in the village!"

The little boy was happy to hear that. He had been wanting to play with Mo Yaya these past two days, but the adults always said that Mo Yaya was in poor health and it was inconvenient for her to get out of bed and walk around.

Mo Yaya agreed without much thought. She also wanted to see everyone in the village and say thank you to everyone.

That day the boy took Mo Yaya for a long walk. They didn't just wander around the village, but went to many places that the boy thought were fun.

There were waterfalls in the mountain stream, rocks in the woods, and on the mountain tops where one could overlook the scenery. Mo Yaya, who was in a weak body, was almost exhausted but she still followed the boy.

It was not until dusk that the boy took Mo Yaya to the top of the mountain to look at the scenery, and he also noticed that Mo Yaya seemed very tired.

The boy felt quite guilty and asked without confidence: "Sister, did I make you unhappy?"

Mo Yaya was sweating profusely, and she sat on the ground, smiling and saying, "How could it be? Yaya hasn't been so happy in a long time. The little fish in the stream and the scenery here are so interesting!"

She wasn't lying, she really hadn't played like this for a long time. When she was in the small town before, she didn't even have a friend of the same age.

The boy was delighted when he heard this and asked excitedly, "Sister, do you think so too? Then can you come and play with me often in the future?"

Mo Yaya was stunned for a moment, and suddenly fell silent.

She had never thought about it before, but after hearing what the boy said, it seemed like a good choice for her to stay in the village.

Everyone in the village is very nice. There is no intrigue and no need to worry about making a living. More importantly, Mo Yaya can have playmates like boys.

Mo Yaya pondered for a moment, and suddenly asked: "What's your name?"

When his name was mentioned, the boy straightened his chest and introduced himself seriously: "My name is Li Xiaohai. Adults all call me Xiaohai, but I think I am the sea, Li Dahai."

Mo Yaya stood up, patted her butt, nodded and said, "Well, Xiaohai, let's go back quickly. Your parents should be worried."

"What? Xiao Hai? You are only two years older than me, so you should call me Da Hai. Sister, you haven't answered my question yet. Can you play with me more often in the future?"

"Xiao Hai is Xiao Hai. Even if he is one or two years older than you, he is still older than you."

Mo Yaya giggled, turned around and walked back.

"Sister, you are like this again. You haven't answered my question yet. Hey, wait for me."

"Hurry up, it will be dark if you don't go home."

Mo Yaya made a face at Li Xiaohai and quickened her pace.

With her back turned to Li Xiaohai, Mo Yaya's eyes revealed a melancholy that was not typical of her age.

To be honest, it would be nice to stay in the village, but Mo Yaya can't do that. She still has to go find the immortal and walk a hundred miles.

Only by walking a hundred miles to find the immortal can she have a chance to save her sister.

The next day, Mo Yaya got up early, prepared to say goodbye to everyone in the village, and continued to walk the hundred miles that Jiang Zhige mentioned.

However, when Mo Yaya got up and walked out the door, she suddenly noticed several older men practicing boxing not far away.

The boxing technique was so powerful that every move was like a chivalrous swordsman.

Mo Yaya showed curiosity, took small steps over and asked, "Uncle, you guys are so amazing, are you immortals?"

The cloth-clothed man who was questioned by Mo Yaya was stunned and laughed: "We are just practicing boxing to facilitate hunting and so on. Immortals are existences in legends. They can shake the earth and mountains with a wave of their hands. We don't even know if they exist or not."

"legend?"

Mo Yaya was quite confused, but she had clearly seen a real immortal.

On that day, Jiang Zhige was able to turn night into day with just a wave of his hand. He was even more magical than an immortal.

The man in plain clothes also became interested when he saw this, and asked with a smile: "Ya Ya, do you want to know what a fairy is?"

Mo Yaya's eyes lit up and she nodded like a chick pecking at rice.

"The immortals live as long as the sky and are as tall as the sky. They may soar into the clouds and fly without wings; or ride on dragons and clouds and ascend to the heavens; or transform themselves into birds and beasts and float in the blue clouds; or sneak across the rivers and seas and soar over famous mountains; or breathe in air and fast and eat mushrooms; or enter and leave the world without being recognized by others, or hide themselves so that no one can see them."

"And this is only one in ten thousand. The word 'immortal' is far beyond the ability of ordinary people like us to explain."

The common man showed longing on his face. Once one has heard of immortals, how many people would not be yearning for them?

Unfortunately, almost no one has ever seen one, let alone becoming an immortal.

"Speaking of immortals, there is a legend in our village that anyone who can pull up the sword in the center of the village will have the qualifications to become an immortal. However, over the years, no one has been able to pull it up even a little bit."

"Yaya, do you want to give it a try?"

The man in plain clothes looked down at Mo Yaya. He always felt that this girl who accidentally walked into the village was very special. Maybe she could really pull out the sword.

"If it is pulled out, can Yaya become an immortal?"

"That's not necessarily the case, but there are some possibilities."

The man in plain clothes shook his head. After all, it was just a legend and he didn't dare to guarantee anything for Mo Yaya.

Mo Yaya clenched her two little fists and said seriously: "Yaya wants to try it!"

If drawing the sword could really make one immortal, then perhaps she wouldn't have to walk a hundred miles, and could save her sister on her own.

The man in plain clothes didn't think much about it, and immediately took Mo Yaya to the center of the village.

After arriving at the center of the village, an unremarkable iron sword stuck in the ground came into view.

The iron sword was surrounded by weeds and the blade was rusty. It didn't look like it could turn into an immortal once it was pulled out.
