Yu Feng pursed his lips and looked towards Bi Xie again, only to find that this wild boar, who had no sense of self-awareness, had no intention of inviting them to eat together.
A small flame rose again in his chest. That stingy, ugly wild boar!
"Sister, do you want to eat?" Yu Feng's lips moved for a while before she finally asked.
Not to mention his sister, he himself was completely drawn to the aroma of the meat, and couldn't bring himself to eat the hard, raw meat in his hand.
Luo Ling looked away, her face slightly flushed, and tucked a strand of hair behind her ear. She said awkwardly, "No need, Ah Feng, I don't want to eat." She picked up the raw meat in her hand and took a bite. "This is fine."
The boy's eyes flickered, and he glanced at Bi Xie several times, only to find that this wild boar truly had no sense of sharing food.
He hunted these foods himself!
Yes, this is the food he hunted.
Yu Feng's eyes lit up, and he jumped up and strode over.
He is no longer so afraid of fire. In fact, he is bolder than most males. He dares to venture into the deep forests that other males dare not enter, so he often captures many times more prey than other tribe warriors.
"Give some meat away, my older sister wants some," the boy said gruffly, looking down at Bi Xie, who was stirring the soup with chopsticks.
Bi Xie didn't look up, and said calmly, "It's not ready yet, wait a little longer."
She just took a bite, and it was still a bit hard, probably because the wild beasts of the ancient continent were not like the domesticated poultry of modern times.
Yu Feng glanced at the bubbling soup and couldn't help but swallow again. "How much longer?"
"It'll be ready soon," Bi Xie said, adding some more green leaves.
She had just discovered this leaf, put it in her mouth and chewed it; it tasted spicy.
She couldn't find salt or any other seasonings, so she had to make do.
Bi Xie picked up another piece of meat, blew on it, and then bit into it.
Well, the taste isn't particularly good, but it's much better than raw meat.
"Alright," Bi Xie smiled contentedly, then generously ladled out a bowl of meat soup and handed it over. "Here, ask me for more if you need more."
Yu Fengjun's face flushed slightly. He had just said that this wild boar was stingy, but unexpectedly it gave him such a big bowl of meat soup in the blink of an eye.
His thin lips moved, but Yu Feng still didn't say thank you. His ears turned red as he turned to leave.
Bi Xie suddenly called out to him, "Wait."
"What?" Yu Feng stopped and stared at her with his blue eyes.
"Aren't you going to eat?" Bi Xie glanced up at him and said indifferently, "There's only one wooden bowl, not enough to serve you. If you want to eat, I can whittle two more wooden chopsticks."
Yu Feng paused for a moment, his eyes suddenly turning strange. He coughed lightly and said, "I still have a lot of meat in my cellar. I'll bring some more over."
Seeing the boy's expression of absolute determination not to take advantage of anyone, Bi Xie was secretly delighted, but he gave a nonchalant "hmm" out loud.
Outside the cave, snow was falling heavily, while inside, it was warm and cozy. The three of them enjoyed a hot pot meal to their hearts' content.
Luo Ling took a sip of the meat soup and glanced timidly at Bi Xie. "Chu Xie, you're amazing. You can make such delicious food."
They used to eat only raw meat and didn't feel anything when they ate a lot of it, but after eating this hot pot, she never wanted to touch raw meat again.
Bi Xie grinned and said, "It's nothing, you can do it too, all you need is fire."
“I didn’t expect…fire isn’t as scary as I thought,” Luo Ling murmured, reaching out to warm her hand over the fire. “It’s actually quite warm.”
Bi Xie smiled and said, "As long as we don't get too close, it'll be fine. Have you eaten?"
Luo Ling blushed slightly and said softly, "I'm full."
She has already eaten five bowls.
"That's enough if you're full," Bi Xie smiled at Luo Ling, then looked expressionlessly at Yu Feng, who was still eating meat. "Those who finish eating, clear your bowls. I'm going to sleep."
This time, Yu Feng only glared at her and didn't argue.
As soon as Bi Xie stood up, the boy's melodious voice carried a hint of disdain, "Wash yourself clean, or you're not allowed in bed."
Bi Xie didn't say anything and went out of the cave on his own.
There was a stream next to the cave where Yu Feng lived. Bi Xie took a torch and washed himself, and took care of his business before slowly strolling back to the cave.
Halfway there, Bi Xie's ears twitched, and he looked towards the bushes on one side, holding up his torch.
The rustling sound stopped after a while.
Bi Xie narrowed his eyes and walked over in confusion. When he saw a snake's head suddenly pop out of the jungle, he exclaimed "Oh my god!" and then quickly ran back to the cave.
When they returned to the cave, Luo Ling had already gone into the inner room, and Yu Feng was nowhere to be found.
Sure enough, several stones were placed on the bed, dividing it in two.
Bi Xie, panting, glanced out of the cave with lingering fear, afraid that the snake would follow him.
In real life, the animal she fears most is the snake, but she has never seen such a long snake before. Just the snake's head is half the length of her body, and the snake's head is triangular. It must be venomous!
If you get bitten by one of these, without antivenom, you'll almost certainly die!
Bi Xie climbed onto the bed with lingering fear and lay down on the inner side, his eyes occasionally glancing towards the outside of the cave.
She had a bad feeling that the snake might suddenly appear from some corner and bite her thigh at any moment.
After cautiously watching the cave entrance for a while, Bi Xie... fell asleep.
She's always been carefree and can fall asleep very quickly after closing her eyes, and once she falls asleep, she's in a deep, restful sleep.
In her dream, Bi Xie was being chased by a snake. She ran and ran desperately, but was still bitten. Although it didn't hurt much, she still cried out.
Just as Yu Feng closed his eyes, a leg came across at him. He suppressed his temper and threw the leg at the person.
But after a short while, that leg was draped over again.
His handsome face was dark and gloomy, but he was bound by the fact that he had eaten the man's food, so he suppressed the urge to kick him off the bed. He quickly threw his sideways leg toward the rock, and then pushed the soundly sleeping wild boar until it reached the base of the wall before stopping.
In the darkness, the boy stared intently at the person in the corner with his bright blue eyes, turning his head to look at her. After a long while, when he was sure she was behaving herself, he relaxed and prepared to go to sleep.
However, before he could fall asleep, the person at the base of the wall suddenly started sobbing.
The sound was very low, like the whimper of a small animal, but one after another, it was like raindrops pounding on his heart.
Yu Feng gritted his teeth, sat up with his legs half-bent, and his cold wolf eyes flashed with a dangerous light.
Bi Xie woke up by crying herself. She didn't know she had cried out loud, but she could feel herself crying.
Opening his eyes groggily, Bi Xie touched the animal hide under his head and found it was indeed soaked.
