"A-Xie, can you marry me?" He remembered to listen to her and obediently made way for her, but he still felt a little wronged. He was annoyed all night, as if something was restless and clamoring in his chest, making it impossible for him to sleep. Afraid of waking her up, he stood up all night.
“You…” Bi Xie’s mouth moved, and he looked at him with a complicated expression. “What did Grandma say to you?”
"Grandma told me that girls all get married, and once they get married, they sleep with other people. Ah Xie, I don't want you to sleep with other people."
As expected, he still didn't understand human emotions.
Bi Xie shifted his gaze, walked past him directly into the courtyard, and said somewhat coldly, "Your heart doesn't beat. You're a vampire and I'm a human. You don't understand what love is, let alone marriage. Why should I marry you?"
Sensing the coldness in her tone, Ajiu stood there blankly.
Her words echoed in his mind. Touching his cold, frozen heart, he felt a pang of pain, as if it were that day in the restaurant when she was there and he was under the scorching sun, so close that he could have easily caught her with a leap. But he felt that those people were right; A-Xie really didn't want him anymore. He stood there stubbornly, the sun making him irritable and restless, and he didn't want to leave.
It was the name she gave him; he couldn't bear to part with the name, nor could he bear to part with the person.
She said she would take him with her and never abandon him.
She said he was hers.
He stared at her departing figure without turning back even once, his eyes slightly reddening. He was so angry that he wanted to grab her back and lock her in his coffin, saying, "I won't make you any more pancakes."
The girl ignored her and turned to disappear around the corner.
"I'll never make you pancakes again, and I won't let Grandma make you pancakes either." The boy's whole body tensed up, his hands clenched so tightly that the pale skin on the back of his hands was taut, and his dark eyes turned from light red to deep red. He leaped onto the roof.
The streets were bustling with activity, lined with stalls.
Even in broad daylight, when he unleashed his vampire power, mortals could only catch a glimpse of a lightning-fast afterimage, which would disappear in the blink of an eye, leaving them to believe they were seeing things.
He didn't know where he was going; amidst the vast sky and clouds, he had only Ah Xie.
Bi Xie finished shopping in a rage, sighing countless times along the way. She knew that A Jiu was not a ghost cultivator yet, but for some reason, she couldn't control her temper. She felt that her temper was terrible, yet she also felt that she was not wrong. Who told him to bully her like that after becoming a ghost cultivator, and still refuse to come to her in his true form to give her an explanation and an apology?
She was absolutely furious.
Hmph! She's not that hard to coax.
Men really are all heartless and ungrateful bastards.
She deliberately dawdled until evening before returning home, wanting to make Ah Jiu, that little pig's trotter, anxious.
Why did this silly little pig not follow the script? She was so angry that she ran away with a cold face and said those hurtful things. Shouldn't a normal "partner" immediately chase after her anxiously? He just hasn't fallen in love yet, his heart isn't beating. He's really lacking common sense.
She grew angrier the more she thought about it, and with a sullen face, she pushed open the door.
As a result... the house was empty.
She searched inside and out, then, furious, put her hands on her hips, rolled her eyes, and yelled, "Fine! Running away from home, fine, fine..." She slapped her cheeks, practically bursting with rage. "If you've got the guts, don't come back! She doesn't want to raise me anymore!"
