Chapter Eighteen: I Like Making You Cry

Bi Xie finally managed to get a chance to talk to Mei Yasi alone. After the meal was set out, she pulled Mei Yasi to sit down. Looking at the delicious dishes with a good mix of meat and vegetables, Bi Xie asked, "Mei Yasi, can't you eat these foods?"

Mayas: "We don't like hot food. Even if we eat it, we can't digest it and it makes us feel unwell."

“I see…” Bi Xie smiled apologetically.

"Is there something you want to ask me?" Mayas smiled gently. She had long, golden hair that resembled the warm sun, and her smile easily put people at ease.

Bi Xie, however, dared not let his guard down. After considering his words carefully, he said, "I have a few questions I'd like to ask you. I want to know what Zang likes and dislikes. Can you tell me?"

Mayas paused for a moment, staring straight at Bi Xie. Just when Bi Xie thought she wouldn't speak, Mayas said, "Master loved cats. He often slept with cats in his arms, but the cats were killed more than three months ago. Master was very sad and hasn't been able to sleep well for the past few months."

"Cats," Bi Xie's eyes darted around, silently noting Zang's preference in his mind, "What color cats does he like?"

Meyas thought for a moment and replied, "Gray, black, pure white, blue, brownish-black, blue, lilac..."

Bi Xie couldn't remember them all, but to sum it up, Zang especially loved cats, all colors and breeds.

"The cat that your owner had three months ago was gray. Would you like to give your owner the cat?"

“I want to send him off, but I can’t get out of this palace,” Bi Xie said, troubled. She was now very suspicious that Zang’s happiness value was still 0. The thought of making this vampire feel the beauty and goodness of the human world gave her a headache.

It would be strange to discover the beauty of the world if one lives a monotonous life of eating, sleeping, and sleeping.

Bi Xie had considered trying to start a conversation with Zang, but the problem was that once the vampire had drunk his fill of blood, he stared straight at her neck with his blood-red eyes, making her unable to utter a single word.

Mayas, ever understanding, said, "I can find you a cat, but I have one condition."

Bi Xie's eyes lit up: "Tell me, anything I can do, I will."

Mayas: "I've heard that human women bleed every month. May I have that blood?"

Bi Xie stared in disbelief, his mind racing with "Holy crap!": Could Meyas be talking about menstruation? In ancient times it was called "kui shui," I think. What does she want my kui shui for? Could it be…?

The scene was too beautiful for Bi Xie to even imagine.

"You're unwilling?" Seeing that Bi Xie remained silent for a long time, Mayas assumed that she disagreed with the exchange.

Bi Xie stood up abruptly, shaking her head hastily, "No, no, I'm willing, oh no," she licked her lips, her face flushed with anxiety, "What I mean is I can give you my blood, but not that kind of blood, you can't drink that!"

Mayas looked puzzled, but when she heard that Bi Xie was willing to give her blood, she was still very happy and made a deal with Bi Xie.

As soon as Mayas left, Bixie turned around and saw Zang sitting up from the coffin.

She was startled and instinctively took a few steps back. After a moment, she managed a smile. "You...you're awake?"

Bi Xie thought to himself: Didn't he just fall asleep? Why is he awake again? Did she wake him up?

Zang remained silent, his black, tousled hair obscuring his right eye, his silver pupils staring at Bi Xie like the deep sea. After a long while, he said, "I like your blood."

It took Bi Xie a moment to realize what "burial" meant. She walked to the black coffin and stroked the patterns on it: "You heard everything?"

Zang nodded, his deep gaze fixed on Bi Xie's fair and slender neck.

It was smooth there, without any teeth marks.

Bi Xie shuddered, touching his neck: "Didn't we already drink today? You want more?"

She was really afraid of pain. Although the stinging sensation when the sharp canine teeth of the burial pierced the artery was relatively small, Bi Xie would still tear up from the pain every time.

"Is that okay?" he asked.

Bi Xie felt a strange unease in his heart at the gentlemanly and polite attitude that made him seem to miss a beat for a moment.

It's no wonder she couldn't resist the temptation; this vampire was just too damn good at flirting, and yet he didn't even realize it, with an air of noble innocence.

"Of course! I was born for you!" Bi Xie could now speak sweet nothings with ease, one after another, without blushing or skipping a beat.

But when the cold, sharp canine teeth pierced the artery, Bi Xie went mad and wanted to scratch the wall. She shouldn't have been tempted by beauty; she should have stuck to her principles and told the progenitor of vampires that eating one meal a day was good for her physical and mental health.

“You cried.” Zang hadn’t drunk much blood, but his lips were as red as the most blood-red rose. He gently licked Bi Xie’s neck. Even though he had done this many times, Bi Xie had instinctively tensed his body.

Who knows if this progenitor of vampires might take another bite while licking it!

Bi Xie did cry, her eyes brimming with tears, looking quite pitiful. However, she bit her lip and remained silent, saying in a muffled voice, "I didn't lie to you, I'm really afraid of pain."

"But your eyes look beautiful when you cry, all red."

Bi Xie's lips twitched.

Zang continued earnestly, "I like seeing you cry, I like making you cry."

Bi Xie: ...This is perverted!

She chuckled twice. She liked watching her cry. Could this be considered another of Zang's hobbies?

If she cries every day and spends every day in tears, can he feel extremely happy?

Bi Xie roared to the sky in her heart. The next moment, she froze, because Zang Bing's thin, cold lips slowly moved down, causing a shiver to run through her.

Bang, bang bang bang.

In the quiet hall, Bi Xie could hear his own heartbeat, each beat strong and powerful.

Bi Xie's lips hovered above his heart, and his breathing became heavy and rapid.

Zang's voice was calm and indifferent, and he said in a serious tone, "Your heart is beating fast, your face is red, and you are very hot."

Bi Xie: ...

Holy crap, does this vampire even know he's driving? Hold the steering wheel tight and don't crash!

Lost in thought, Bi Xie was suddenly caught hugging the coffin tightly.

The coffin was large enough to hold two people, with plenty of extra space.

Inside the coffin, Bi Xie and Zang sat facing each other, staring wide-eyed.

Zang remained expressionless, but his silver eyes were fixed on Bi Xie. Bi Xie coughed a few times, feeling somewhat flattered, as this was the first time Zang had allowed her into his coffin.

Although... she didn't really want to get into that black coffin.

"You...you vampires don't have hearts?" Bi Xie's finger trembled slightly as he pointed towards the location of Zang Xin's chest.

“Yes, but it doesn’t pulsate.” Zang looked at Bi Xie’s chest.
