Blake's expression turned sinister: "Mayas, how dare you eat my beloved princess and steal her blood! Have you forgotten the rules of vampires? Killing one's own kind will lead to endless hunting!"
"Then let's see if my master will kill me or be grateful to me?"
Blake's bloodshot eyes glanced at Bi Xie, as if he had caught a whiff of something exquisite, and he suddenly pounced on Bi Xie.
Mayas's expression changed, and she hurriedly transformed into a black shadow, rushing towards Bi Xie at an even faster speed, enveloping her in the shadow and rushing out of the bedchamber.
Behind him, Blake was hot on his heels.
Enveloped in shadow, Bi Xie could not hide the human scent emanating from her, and gradually many vampires gathered around her. There were ordinary vampires with ferocious faces, as well as vampires who could not control their consciousness and attacked on instinct.
"Meyas, where are you taking me?"
"Naturally, we'll send you back to human territory."
Bi Xie frowned and said hesitantly, "But I promised the funeral I would wait for him to return in the bedchamber, so I can't leave the Ghost Realm."
"The Ghost Realm is full of vampires who want you dead. With your master gone, no one can protect you!"
Bi Xie understood this principle, but she had finally built up goodwill in Zang Xin's heart. If she left now, all her previous efforts might be ruined. This vampire progenitor, who could turn on her like a flipping book, might turn her into a specimen again after discovering that she had escaped the Ghost Realm.
"Thank you, Mayas. When Zang returns, please tell him for me that I will go back to find him."
Saving his life was the priority. Bi Xie glanced at the dark mass of vampires behind him, felt a chill in his heart, and listened to Mayas's advice.
The shadow moved very quickly. Although Bleach's Blood Demon Arts were more powerful than Mayas's, Mayas was still superior in terms of speed and instinct for concealment.
“We’ve already traveled fifty miles from the Ghost Realm. I’ll stop here. I’ll hold off Blake, so you should leave quickly,” Mayas said indifferently as he returned to human form.
Bi Xie opened his mouth: "Are you confident you can deal with Blake? If not, come with me and we'll escape. We'll go back after we're buried in the Ghost Realm."
Mayas smiled faintly and shook her head: "I smell of blood. Blake has a keen sense of smell and will find me. Don't worry about me, you should go."
"Take care then," Bi Xie frowned. The two of them together would make them a bigger target, and perhaps without her, it would be easier for Mayas to deal with Blake.
"Hurry up and go find your companions," Mayas urged.
Bi Xie took a few steps forward, and Mayas suddenly said, "Your blood is very special. It seems to be the same as the master's blood, which can enhance the vampire's abilities. Don't get injured and bleed easily."
Bi Xie was stunned for a moment. Just as he turned his head, Meyas had already turned into a shadow and disappeared in the blink of an eye.
After walking for an unknown amount of time, feeling dizzy and lightheaded, Bi Xie finally found a water source. Sunlight refracted on the water's surface, making it shimmer with golden light.
Squatting by the river, she eagerly scooped up several handfuls of water and drank them down before finally lying down on the grass, exhausted.
After resting for a while, Bi Xie finally regained some strength and was about to go find something to eat when a series of messy footsteps and voices suddenly came from the bushes nearby.
"We've already captured the progenitor of vampires, so why should we fear a mere ghost realm? That vampire is too difficult to kill; even the best demon-slaying swords can't cut his neck. Let's wipe out his entire ghost realm first!"
