Chapter Sixty-Four: Lingering Feelings

The weather in the capital was getting colder, and with the car heater on, Bi Xie found a comfortable position to continue catching up on sleep.

Upon arriving at the Wei family's main residence, Bi Xie bid farewell to Uncle Deng and walked over on his own.

They must have known she would come at this time, because the door was open.

A fragrant aroma wafted from the kitchen. Bi Xie had just changed his shoes when Jiang Han rushed over.

Bi Xie joked, "That's rare, getting up so early today!"

Jiang Han looked at Bi Xie with a hesitant expression, and after a long pause, she finally said, "Let me tell you, last night my cousin... he didn't sleep at all, and he came to my bedside and stared at me."

Looking back warily at the stairwell, Jiang Han grabbed Bi Xie and said, "Do you think my cousin might want to kill me because he found out I'm too straight and can't be turned gay? I'm so scared, what should I do?"

Bi Xie's lips twitched: "Are you delirious?"

Seeing Bi Xie's disbelief, Jiang Han became anxious: "I swear, it's absolutely true! My brother was staring at me like that, it was so eerie! I couldn't sleep all night."

Bi Xie glanced at Jiang Han sideways and walked towards the dining table.

"Qin Xiaoxie, you don't believe me?" Jiang Han followed, looking terrified. "I think my cousin still has feelings for me and is too obsessed. You don't know my cousin's character. He's the kind of person who would destroy something if he couldn't have it."

"He used to have a goldfish, and he loved it so much that he would stare at it for a long time every night when he got home. Later, my mom saw how much he liked the goldfish, so she bought many of the same kind and put them in the fish tank. But a few days later, all the goldfish died..."

Do you know why?

Bi Xie blinked: "Because that little goldfish doesn't have your cousin in its eyes anymore."

Jiang Han exclaimed, "Qin Xiaoxie, I didn't realize you had such a twisted nature. How did you guess? Just because that little goldfish got a new companion, my cousin poisoned the whole tank of fish."

After saying that, he let out a miserable wail: "Do you think I'll become that little goldfish too? Is it too late for me to beg my cousin to turn me gay?"

"Mr. Wei," Bi Xie smiled sweetly at Wei Zhaoye, who was coming downstairs.

Wei Zhaoye gave a barely perceptible "hmm," his piercing gaze sweeping over Jiang Han.

Jiang Han shrank back, put his hands on Bi Xie's shoulders, and hid behind Bi Xie.

Bi Xie shrugged, trying to shake Jiang Han's hand off, but the boy's hands were trembling. She exhaled and walked towards the dining table.

Wei Zhaoye's current level of corruption has not yet reached 100; he has not yet become so perverted as to be beyond redemption.

Furthermore, Bi Xie didn't believe that Wei Zhaoye liked Jiang Han; when someone likes another person, it's impossible to hide it in their eyes.

But Wei Zhaoye's gaze towards Jiang Han was cold and indifferent, utterly calm.

After breakfast, Wei Zhaoye went to the company as usual, and Bi Xie tutored Jiang Han as usual, plus played games to level up his account.

Whether it was Bi Xie's imagination or not, when she was playing games with Jiang Han, she always felt that a gaze was staring at her, but when she turned around and looked around, she didn't find anything unusual.

This went on for more than a week. Both Bi Xie and Jiang Han's accounts reached the Glory King rank. As long as Bi Xie was there, it was hard to lose.

However, playing games with Jiang Han wasn't entirely without its benefits. She learned that Wei Zhaoye loves sweets, the kind that's so sweet they're cloying!

Bi Xie was thinking that once he got to university, if he couldn't find a good part-time job, he would temporarily work as a game streamer and booster to make money. As for his major in university, Bi Xie had already decided that if you wanted to make money in this era, you either had to go into the entertainment industry or the business world.
