Chapter Ninety-Two: Lovers' Duties

Bi Xie twitched the corner of his lips but didn't say anything.

The system's voice urgently entered his mind: "Warning! The villain's corruption value has suddenly increased to 80 points. Please take precautions to protect yourself."

Upon hearing this, Bi Xie stiffened for a moment.

What did she do? Her level of corruption has increased so quickly!

After all that, the happiness value is like riding a bumpy car, while the darkness value is like riding a roller coaster?

The two walked out of the building. Bi Xie sensed the man's somewhat gloomy mood and changed the subject, saying, "Ye, you still haven't told me why you're back again?"

"Because... I forgot something very important."

Wei Zhaoye stared intently into Bi Xie's eyes. Suddenly, Bi Xie felt as if something was gripping her heart, causing her to clench and her breathing to slow. She feigned composure and asked, "What is it?"

The summer breeze was warm, blowing the man's black, silky hair.

She pursed her beautiful lips and said, "I won't tell you now."

Bi Xie suppressed the twitching at the corner of her mouth, looked away, and dared not look at the man's exquisite eyes, which seemed to be able to see through people's hearts. She skipped to the milk tea shop and bought a cup of milk tea.

When the girl at the bubble tea shop saw Wei Zhaoye, her eyes widened. While making bubble tea for Bi Xie, she asked with a grin, "Miss, is this your boyfriend?"

Bi Xie, without changing his expression, leaned close to the little girl's ear and whispered, "To be honest, he is a thousand-year-old fox demon that I picked up from the deep mountains and forests. You must not stare into his eyes, or your soul will be stolen!"

The little girl's eyes widened in disbelief.

Bi Xie smiled at the little girl and made a shushing gesture.

Then he looked at Wei Zhaoye and smiled brightly: "Ye, would you like some milk tea?"

Wei Zhaoye had already noticed Bi Xie's whispering with the milk tea shop clerk. He felt a little displeased by the clerk's probing gaze, and pursed his thin lips, "No, let's go."

Bi Xie jogged over. She was petite, and Wei Zhaoye put his arm around her shoulder as if he were holding a playful little kitten, which eased his gloomy mood a bit.

The two went to a Western restaurant and had dinner. As usual, Wei Zhaoye escorted Bi Xie to the door of the rented house.

Bi Xie was a very curious person. Before entering the house, he looked up and asked, "You just said you forgot to do something very important. What is it?"

Whether it was her imagination or not, she thought she saw Wei Zhaoye's eyes slightly curved, as if he were smiling.

Bi Xie had almost never seen Wei Zhaoye truly smile. Seeing the man's lips slowly but deepening into a smile, he instinctively wanted to open the door and run away. "Ye, goodnight, I... I'm sleepy."

"Okay, once you've fulfilled the obligations that lovers should have, I'll let you go to sleep." As soon as he finished speaking, Bi Xie was pinned against the door. The man's arm went around her waist, and his other hand rested on the back of her head.

The next moment, an overwhelming, passionate kiss was unleashed without restraint.

Bi Xie was suffering from oxygen deprivation and felt like he was about to suffocate.

She patted Wei Zhaoye's back, her face turning red from holding her breath, but the man seemed to be able to survive without breathing, completely oblivious to her need for help or to give her a breather.

It would be absurd if she died from improper kissing.

With a determined heart, Bi Xie bit Wei Zhaoye.

Blood gushed out. Wei Zhaoye's dark eyes were like an abyss as he stared intently at Bi Xie. His crimson lips were much redder than before, and a drop of blood spilled from his lower lip, making him look exceptionally alluring.
