Chapter 82 has some conscience, but not much.

Having successfully eliminated a high-level demonic cultivator, the Divine Realm Sect Master summoned six elders to discuss how to deal with the remaining demons.

The six elders unanimously agreed that this person's cultivation level was so high that his status and position within the demon race must be quite high.

They decided to use the same method as before: spread the news that he had been captured by the Divine Realm to lure the remaining demons out.

After everything was agreed upon, the Grand Elder left the secret chamber and returned to his palace.

On the way, they unexpectedly encountered two disciples supporting a ragged old man, who was walking towards the main hall.

One of the disciples' eyes lit up when he saw him.

"Elder! It's so good to run into you. We just saw this sneaky old man in the back mountain. He was holding a strange magic weapon and seemed to want to destroy our sect's protective formation."

"Now that the demons are running rampant, I was worried that this person might also be a demon spy, so I captured him and brought him back to await the Grand Elder's judgment!"

The Grand Elder nodded after hearing this, "You have done very well."

The old man before him seemed somewhat familiar. The First Elder squinted, scrutinizing him carefully for a while, searching his memory before speaking with some uncertainty:

"Su Chen?"

Upon hearing someone mention his name, the dying old man raised his scarred face, blood trickling from the corner of his mouth, as if he had suffered another serious internal injury. "So it's Elder Chu Huan."

Upon discovering that it really was him, the Grand Elder paused, sighed helplessly, and waved to his two disciples, "He is not a demon spy. Send him back to Qinghong Town at the foot of the mountain."

He had previously given orders not to let this person enter the Divine Realm, but who would have thought that today it was these two newly joined disciples patrolling and guarding it.

Considering that they were unaware of the matter, the Grand Elder did not make things too difficult for them.

"Remember this: he is never to set foot in the Divine Realm again."

The two disciples responded and were about to take the old man away.

Perhaps something had touched a nerve, for the old man, who was clearly at his last gasp, suddenly found strength and violently shook off his disciple's grip, falling to the ground and throwing a tantrum:

"I won't leave! I want to see Chu Yi! I won't leave until I see her!"

Seeing his shameless behavior, the Grand Elder's already dwindling patience ran out. "This is not a place for you to act recklessly. I'm giving you one last chance: get out of the Divine Realm!"

"Didn't the Grand Elder say that Chu Yi is not dead? If that's the case, I must see her today!" After many years, he finally managed to enter the Divine Realm again, and the old man refused to leave easily no matter what.

The elder, who had been in a good mood, became irritated by his outburst and flicked his sleeves, asking, "Do you really want to see Chu Yi?"

The old man replied without hesitation, "Yes!"

The Grand Elder curled his lips coldly. Before leaving, Chu Yi begged him to spare Su Chen's life, which was why he had tolerated her repeated provocations against the Divine Realm.

Since it was Su Chen who requested it, we can't blame him, right?

The Grand Elder waved his hand, "In that case, take him to the Land Forsaken by the Gods."

The two disciples were shocked upon hearing this, but dared not raise any objections. After bowing and paying their respects, they quickly helped the old man away.

***

The so-called Land of Forsaken Gods seemed to open only at a fixed time, so Yin Ming and the other two were first imprisoned in the Heavenly Prison.

The Heavenly Prison had set up restrictions, preventing them from using magic. The disciples of the Divine Realm didn't think the three of them could cause any trouble, so they unlocked the shackles binding their hands and feet before leaving.

Yin Ming said that he has some conscience, but not much.

Lingyao remained unconscious for some reason. Yin Ming checked his breathing and suddenly remembered that he had the protagonist's halo and wouldn't die, so he breathed a sigh of relief.

The man in black slowly woke up and, upon seeing his surroundings, showed little surprise.

He casually glanced at Yin Ming and the other man locked up with him, adjusted himself into a more comfortable position, leaned against the wall, and continued to close his eyes for a nap.

His reaction was truly baffling to Yin Ming.

Yin Ming was well aware that with Ling Yao, the protagonist, around, they would not die no matter what, which is why he remained relatively calm.

But why was this man so calm? Was he sure he would be alright?

Recalling the other party's previous actions, Yin Ming seemed to understand a little better.

He dared to trespass into the realm of gods; perhaps he had long anticipated this fate.

Or perhaps he knows what this Forsaken Land is like, so he's not worried?

Most importantly, Yin Ming also really wanted to know what it was that made him risk his life.

So Yin Ming asked in a friendly tone, "May I ask your honorable name, young master?"

When someone spoke to him, the man slowly opened his eyes, and after a long while, he replied, "Feng Yan."

"My name is Yin Ming. I wonder if Young Master Feng knows what this Forsaken Land is?"

Yin Ming carefully supported Ling Yao's head, which was resting on his shoulder, and adjusted his posture to face Feng Yan.

Feng Yan didn't look at him, but stared intently at the dust on the ground, and said casually:

"Aren't you a disciple of the Divine Realm? How come you don't know about the Land Forsaken by the Gods?"

Yin Ming chuckled awkwardly and said, "I haven't been in the Divine Realm for long, and there are many things I don't understand."

Feng Yan then glanced at him and said, "No wonder you don't recognize me."

Upon hearing this, Yin Ming raised an eyebrow and said, "No, who are you, brother? Why should I know you?"

Then, he sensed his cultivation level with suspicion—hmm… only the sixth realm, is that very powerful?

Yin Ming is now at the eighth realm, he's many times more talented than him.

Besides, he's a demon, so why should the disciples of the Divine Realm have to recognize him?

Yin Ming wanted to ask him who he was, but he didn't know how to ask in a tactful way. After hesitating for a long time, fortunately Feng Yan took the initiative to reveal his identity.

"I am the former swordsmith of the Divine Realm, and a disciple of Duan Jiang."

Oh, Duan Jiang.

Yin Ming nodded, then his expression suddenly changed.

Duan Jiang? Is that the master blacksmith Duan Jiang?

Feng Yan knew what he was thinking just by looking at his expression, and nodded with considerable pride:

"It's the Duan Jiang you're thinking of."

So that's how it is. No wonder he was willing to reveal his identity.

My master is such a prominent figure; it's truly prestigious to talk about him.

So he used to stay in the Divine Realm with his master, which is why all the disciples in the Divine Realm know him.

Yin Ming suddenly realized something, but then his expression became confused again.

How did he end up in such a state?
