Chapter 75

Lu Rankong's nightgown belt was tied loosely, revealing his strong chest muscles. Because he had just taken a shower, his hair was still messy and two strands fell down, covering his eyebrows. He managed to wear the old-fashioned and tacky pajamas in a somewhat unruly way.

He took Lan Yu to the restaurant, "Are you hungry? The hotel has delivered the food."

There were seven or eight dishes on a large dining table in the middle, steaming hot. Lan Yu sat down next to him and looked at each dish. He had never seen those ingredients before, but he could tell they looked good just by looking at the presentation.

"These are the specialties from various planets. You can try them and see which one you like." Lu Rankong placed the chopsticks in front of him.

"These are very expensive, right?" Lan Yu asked.

"It should be very expensive. I asked them to send the best dishes in the restaurant." Lu Rankong said.

Lan Yu looked at him and narrowed her eyes. "Where did you get the money? Didn't you say that you don't want to touch the rest of the money except your salary? And the salary card is with me."

Lu Rankong touched his chin and said helplessly: "It's not that I don't want to move, it's that I can't move. During my service, all my assets were frozen by my father. I have to wait until I retire."

"Why are your assets frozen?" Lan Yu asked curiously.

Lu Rankong said calmly: "I hope I can retire soon."

He further explained: "This restaurant knows me. I just need to tell them my name and they will remember the money. The restaurant is not worried that I won't be able to pay. Even if I owe them for ten or eight years, they won't be anxious."

Lan Yu didn't ask any more questions and just concentrated on eating. After he was full and put down his chopsticks, he saw Lu Rankong was still eating, so he didn't leave the table, but held the bowl of soup and drank it slowly.

"Do you think there will be any problems with the Black Crow Bar?" Lu Rankong asked while eating.

Lan Yu put down the bowl and was silent for a moment before saying, "I think there is a problem."

"Yeah, you have the same feeling as me. This bar appeared in the last incident of the Longte alien in prison, and it was mentioned again this time. I think it's not just a coincidence." Lu Rankong said.

Lan Yu said nothing, considering whether to tell him that she found the consumption card in the dormitory.

"Why aren't you talking? What are you daydreaming about?" Lu Rankong asked.

Lan Yu was a little nervous. After a pause, she finally spoke hesitantly: "Do you remember Officer Liu once said that he met someone outside the bar who looked like me?"

Lu Rankong chewed a piece of bamboo shoots and nodded, "I remember. What happened? Were you really outside at that time?"

Lan Yu hesitated and said nothing, and began to struggle internally.

Should I tell Lu Rankong that I am not K? This story sounds ridiculous, I wonder if he will believe it. But he is the person closest to me, and some things should not be hidden from me.

How about... a safer approach?

Lan Yu bit her lip and said, "There's something I haven't told you."

"What's the matter?" Lu Rankong looked up at him casually, but found that he had a serious expression. He was slightly startled and put down his bowl and chopsticks.

"There was a period of time when I just couldn't remember anything about it. I forgot it completely." Lan Yu chose her words carefully.

Seeing Lu Rankong's bewildered face, he simply said, "I lost my memory and forgot an experience I had before."

Summarizing the dramas I have acted in before, as long as there are things that cannot be explained or people that I don’t want to face, I can use amnesia to deal with them.

Lu Rankong was silent for a few seconds and then asked: "How long is an experience?"

"Very long..."

"What exactly?"

Lan Yu said: "Specifically, it is from birth until three months ago."

Lu Rankong looked at Lan Yu's expression carefully, trying to see if he was joking. But Lan Yu's face was serious, and his fists clenched on the table also showed his inner nervousness, which made Lu Rankong certain that what he said was true.

"So... your recent changes are due to your amnesia?" he asked with a slight frown.

Lan Yu stared at the empty bowl on the table and nodded.

"Then why didn't you tell me?"

Lan Yu whispered, "We weren't close before, can I tell you that I have lost my memory?"

"But we've been together for a while, and you didn't tell me." Lu Rankong's tone was full of disbelief, "You should have told me this a long time ago, but you didn't tell me until now."

"It's not too late to say it now." Lan Yu whispered.

Lu Rankong felt a little aggrieved: "You are my alpha, but you didn't tell me such a big thing."

Lan Yu said nothing.

Lu Rankong calmed down and asked, "Who else knows about your amnesia?"

Lan Yu swallowed and said, "Kong Fei..."

"That little lieutenant? The one who follows you around?" Lu Rankong almost jumped up, "He knows that too?"

"Um……"

Lu Rankong's lips were pursed into a straight line, staring at him with accusations in his eyes, "You actually told him but didn't tell me, and I only know about this now."

After a pause, he emphasized his tone and said in a deep voice: "As your closest person, I really can't understand it."

Lan Yu is also confused now. Shouldn't he focus on the amnesia issue itself? Why are you worrying about not telling him in time?

But seeing Lu Rankong so aggrieved, he still comforted her: "After all, when I lost my memory, we were not in this relationship and we were not familiar with each other. Could I have come to you and told you then? If I had told you, you might not only think that I had lost my memory, but also that I was crazy. After we got together, we forgot about it. After all, it's not a big deal, right?"

Lu Rankong was about to nod, but then he reacted and said sharply: "No, this must be a big deal, but you didn't even tell me such a big deal."

"I would have concerns, afraid that you would think I had lost my memory and look down on me, or that I would feel inferior inside, so I hesitated for love and did that in the rain..."

Lan Yu spoke vaguely and perfunctorily, but the expression on her face adjusted skillfully according to the content of the speech.

Lu Rankong was suddenly stuck, unable to utter a word of accusation. Looking at Lan Yu's face full of hesitation and sadness, his heart began to weaken and a little sad.

"I was wrong. I still blame you for not telling me at this time. I didn't put myself in your shoes." He stood up and walked behind Lan Yu, holding his head in his arms, and said softly: "You must have been very scared at the time. You don't remember anything."

She was really afraid. Lan Yu put her face against his hard abdomen and nodded slightly.

"Is it caused by external trauma?" Lu Rankong first thought about whether he was injured somewhere.

Lan Yu whispered, "No, it just happened suddenly. I can't remember anything for no apparent reason."

"Has he been treated? Have you checked if there is anything wrong with his brain?" Lu Rankong asked.

Lan Yu shook her head.

Lu Rankong touched the top of his head and said, "Don't panic, the Sasu Star Military Hospital is very good. I'll take you there tomorrow."

Lan Yu shook her head again and said in a low voice: "I don't want to see..."

"It's okay. No matter what the problem is, Brother Bao will accompany you to receive treatment, okay?" Lu Rankong persuaded.

Lan Yu could only vaguely say: "Let's get the business done first. Anyway, I don't have any other health problems. It doesn't matter whether I can get my previous memories back or not."

Seeing that he was resisting and didn't want to talk about it anymore, Lu Rankong had to give up asking any further. At the same time, he thought to himself that he had to find an opportunity to take him for examination and treatment.

"So I don't know if the person Officer Liu met outside the Black Crow Bar was me." Lan Yu raised her face and said, "But I found a consumption card of the Black Crow Bar in the dormitory."

"Consumer card?"

"Yes, it was similar to what I found at my home in Kabul today, but it was inconvenient to tell you at that time, so I kept silent."

Lu Rankong asked doubtfully: "So that's why you think there's something wrong with the Black Crow Bar? Because you've been there?"

Lan Yu couldn't explain why there was something weird about K.

As an omega, he had to conceal his identity when joining the army. There were only a few military personnel in the terminal, and he had never seen the contact information of other people.

So much time has passed, and no one has contacted him through the terminal except Liu Deng assigning tasks.

It is very strange no matter how you look at it that such a lonely and eccentric person would often go to a bar in Sasu Star.

"How about this, let's go to the Black Crow Bar tonight." Lu Rankong suggested without waiting for Lan Yu's answer.

Lan Yu quickly replied: "Then let's go now."

The main city of Sasu Star at night is completely different from that during the day. There are bright lights everywhere and a giant floating screen hanging in the air, making the cold steel building colorful.

Those remote streets became lively, three-color rotating lights lit up outside the simple barber shops, snack vendors set up stalls wherever possible, and pop music wafting from the clothing stores mixed with the smell of fireworks, enveloping the entire street.

A black and yellow streamlined sports car slowly drove into the small street, and passed through the gaps between the small stalls with difficulty, honking the horn continuously, urging the pedestrians in front who were blocking the road but did not avoid or give way.

Some pedestrians recognized that the car was a limited edition that had just been launched on the market, and could not help but stop to take a closer look, making the road ahead even more congested.

"My brother gave me a new car for my birthday a few days ago, but since I was in the military camp, he just put it in my garage." Lu Rankong said helplessly, "This color seems too dazzling."

Lan Yu smiled slightly and said, "Not bad..."

The sports car finally passed this section of the road and the street became empty. The two looked carefully at the signs on the roadside and finally saw the Black Crow Bar.

The Black Crow Bar looks very ordinary from the outside, no different from other bars, with only a few neon light boxes on the door with the name of the store written on them.

The open space across the street is the bar's parking lot, with about a dozen cars parked there. All of the car logos are luxury cars, which are out of place with the simplicity of this place.

Lu Rankong parked the car quickly, and the two walked towards the bar and pushed the door open.

Today is the weekend, and there are a little more customers in the Black Crow Bar than usual. Some are whispering in the booths to the sound of blues-style jazz, or sitting alone at the bar, looking sideways at the people in the bar, looking for someone to spend a night with.

When the door of the bar opened and the wind chimes on the door rang, everyone looked over casually, then fixed their eyes.

The two new guests were both wearing dark shirts. The one in front had an impeccable face, a tall and slender figure, slightly upturned peach blossom eyes that were half-closed, and an indifferent and arrogant expression on his face.

The man behind him was half a head taller than him. The sleeves of his high-quality shirt were rolled up to his forearms, revealing his smoothly-defined muscles. Equally handsome, but unlike the previous handsome guy who was more of a pretty guy, he was tall and strong, with deep facial features, and full of the aggressiveness of a mature alpha.

The two seemed to have gotten used to being the focus of attention, and they didn't care about the various meaningful looks. Led by the bartender, they walked to an empty booth by the wall and sat down.

"What would you like to drink?" the young beta bartender asked politely in a low voice.

Lu Rankong looked at Lan Yu and asked, "What would you like to drink?"

Lan Yu thought for a moment and asked the bartender, "Do you have any special wines here?"

“Yes, the most famous drink in our bar is a drink called ‘Raven Wing’. Many customers come here just to taste this drink. "The bartender introduced.

"Oh, which bartender made this drink?" Lan Yu asked with interest.

The bartender stepped aside and asked him to look at the bar. "That's our bartender. He's the one who made Raven Wing."

The two of them looked over and saw a young man in his twenties shaking a cocktail glass in his hand, with his head half lowered and not looking over here.

Lan Yu looked at him for a few seconds and asked the bartender, "How long has he worked in your bar?"

The bartender replied: "Anyway, he was there when I came to the bar, so it should have been quite some time."

"So what's your name? How long have you been working in the bar?" Lu Rankong asked with his hands clasped on the table, as if he was very interested in the man in front of him.

The waiter didn't know what he was thinking of, his face suddenly turned red, and he replied in a low voice: "My name is Yunjie, and I have been working here for three years."

"I've been doing this for three years..." Lan Yu tapped the table with her knuckles and asked, "Have you ever met me?"

Yun Jie looked at Lan Yu for a few seconds and said with a smile, "Sir, you look a little unfamiliar. I have never seen you before."

"Never seen it? Are you sure?" Lan Yu asked.

Yun Jie looked at Lan Yu carefully and shook his head helplessly, "I'm sorry, sir, I really haven't seen you before."

Lu Rankong asked again: "Have you gotten used to it in the past three years? Is there anything special about the bar that you find special?"

Yun Jie seemed to be afraid to look at him. He just lowered his head and said, "I'm used to it. Our bar has always been very special, so we have many customers and a good reputation."

Seeing that his face was red as if it was about to burn, and Lu Rankong was about to ask more questions, Lan Yu said first: "Just send us two cups of Crow Wings, thank you."

Yun Jie responded, turned around and left, secretly glancing at Lu Rankong before leaving.

"Why don't you take the opportunity to ask a few more questions? Ask about his Xu." Lu Rankong asked.

Lan Yu glanced at him and said with a half-smile, "If you keep asking, they will follow you."

"Come with me? Why follow me?" Lu Rankong asked in confusion.

Lan Yu ignored him and took a sip of the water in front of her.

After thinking for a while, Lu Rankong finally came to his senses and asked in surprise, "Are you jealous?"

"I only drink, I don't get jealous." Lan Yu said.

"You are obviously jealous." Lu Rankong studied his expression, leaned back in his chair, and said, "Qiao'er, moderate jealousy is actually quite good. It promotes that and is also beneficial to your physical and mental health. I won't mind even if you admit it."

Lan Yu raised her eyelids and glanced at him: "It's good for your body and mind, right? I see you feel very comfortable."

"No, no, don't talk nonsense." Lu Rankong smiled and put his hands on the back of the sofa, sighing with contentment.

Lan Yu ignored him and just looked around the bar.

This bar doesn't look prominent from the outside, and it's not located in the downtown area, but the environment and atmosphere inside the bar are great and it looks very stylish. No wonder the parking lot opposite is full of luxury cars.

The guests' vague glances would always fall on him and Lu Rankong.

Lu Rankong can be seen as an alpha at first glance, so the omegas and betas always look at him. But Lan Yu was a little confusing, because one couldn't see the back of his neck and couldn't judge by the glandular stickers, so no matter whether it was an alpha, an omega or a beta, they were all secretly looking at him.

Lan Yu faced these gazes calmly and looked back. These glances contained admiration, teasing, amazement, and jealousy, but not what he wanted to see.

These people were seeing him for the first time, and all their looks revealed a sense of strangeness.

Lan Yu found it a little strange. The bartender who had worked in this bar for several years said he had never seen him, and these customers were obviously not familiar with each other. So what was going on with K's consumption card?

Lan Yu frowned and thought, not noticing that Lu Rankong was glaring at her opposite.

He glared fiercely at those who cast their gazes toward Lan Yu, and did not stop until they turned their eyes away in fear, and he continued to glare at them one by one.

When those people saw that his exposed forearms had bulging muscles, that he was tall and strong, and that his face looked fierce, they knew he was not someone to be trifled with, so they all looked away.

Poor omegas and betas who were originally peeking at him were accidentally injured and attacked by indiscriminate gazes. They no longer dared to look at this table again.

Yun Jie quickly brought two glasses of wine, one placed in front of Lu Rankong and the other in front of Lan Yu. Without even looking at anyone, he lowered his head and said, "Please enjoy." After Lan Yu swiped her credit card to pay for the wine, she turned and left with red ears.

Lan Yu gave Lu Rankong a cold look and said, "You've made the little beta afraid to look at you."

Lu Rankong picked up the wine glass and shook his head and sighed, "Although I am happy that you are jealous, the fact is that you think too much. I don't even -"

He was interrupted before he could finish his sentence. He raised his glass and found a sticky note on the bottom of the glass.

Seeing his embarrassed face, Lan Yu urged him jokingly: "Take it off quickly, it's the terminal number that someone left for you."

He had a half-smile on his face. In the dim light of the bar, his eyebrows and eyes were dark and deep, and his lips were even redder.

Lu Rankong's heart moved, and he ignored the paper. He just put down his glass and said in a low voice: "Baby, don't you know that everyone in the bar is peeking at you? I'm so jealous. You see, you only hate this one person, so I'm actually at a loss."

Lan Yu secretly laughed in her heart at this guy who didn't understand. In fact, half of the people were looking at him, but since he didn't know, she wouldn't remind him.

He smiled meaningfully and picked up the wine glass on the table.

The wine had a light orange color and looked like fine honey under the light. The refracted light was reflected on his face, giving his drooping eyelashes a light brown color. His whole temperament became less cold and a little softer.

Lu Rankong was afraid that someone would stare at Lan Yu again, so he looked around vigilantly, like a male beast guarding his possessions, not allowing any covetous eyes.

He looked around and saw that no one was looking in his direction, so he turned to look at Lan Yu and found that he was holding the glass of wine but had not drunk it yet. He just raised it to his lips and sniffed it, frowning.

"What's wrong? Is this wine bad?" Lu Rankong also picked up the wine glass and sniffed it twice.

Lan Yu said: "No, I just think the smell of this wine is a little familiar, as if I have smelled it somewhere before."
