Chapter 108

Chapter 108

Jesus may have thought that one of the three would stay behind to guard the wagon, but he probably didn't expect it would be Lena, which made him somewhat conflicted, since a gentleman cannot lay a hand on a lady.

Of course, this special case is an exception.

"Looks like you're not going to let me get that car easily?" Jesus slowly approached Lina.

“Yes, Paul,” Lina said with a smile. Let her see the strongest martial arts master.

In the blink of an eye, the two were entangled. Lina and Rosita learned a lot of fighting techniques. After all, they were petite and more suited to technical skills. However, Lina also had a cheat code, which gave her an extra trump card.

The moment Lina engaged Jesus, she sensed something was wrong. It was like fighting an upgraded version of Rosita and Abraham. Her rudimentary skills were completely overwhelmed after just three moves against Jesus.

This is really disappointing, Lina thought dejectedly, but it's okay, everyone has their own expertise.

Jesus relaxed his guard; it was much simpler than he had imagined.

But he was quickly stunned. Jesus grabbed Lina's arm, trying to throw her to the ground and tie her hands, but when he grabbed Lina's arm, it was more like Lina was grabbing him.

Before Jesus could react, he saw blue sky and white clouds, followed by a warm contact with the ground.

He was thrown out by a girl with her bare hands.

It was thrown out.

Although Jesus appeared thin, he had well-defined muscles, and he was, after all, a grown man, who was now being thrown out.

Jesus lay on the ground in a daze for a long time, seemingly unable to come to his senses, until he heard the crackling of 'gunshots' behind him.

The firecrackers he set went off, and there wasn't enough time; he had to grab the truck and get out of there quickly.

Without a second thought for his own plight, Jesus leaped up, deftly dodging Lina's obstruction, and jumped into the truck's driver's seat.

It's their fault for not closing the car doors.

But Lina was no pushover either. Although climbing onto the vehicle was a bit troublesome, she didn't need to. She simply reached out and grabbed Jesus's feet, holding on tightly.

Jesus struggled for a long time, but to no avail. She held Jesus' ankle with one hand and pulled on his trousers with the other. Jesus struggled hard, but she pulled him down with all her might.

Jesus was now in a dilemma. Although his shame was not as great as the cartload of supplies, he did not really want to run naked.

So Jesus struggled to pull on his belt, shouting, "Don't pull on my pants!"

Lina shrugged. "Then don't run, come down."

“Then let go first,” Jesus said.

"Do you think I'm stupid?" Lina rolled her eyes. If she dared to relax even for a moment, this kid would disappear without a trace.

Not wanting the supplies to go to waste, Lina strained even harder, trying to drag Jesus off the truck.

Jesus screamed, "No! My pants are going to fall down!"

Rick and Daryl rushed back and witnessed this scene.

Daryl's lips twitched slightly. He quickly went to Lina's side and, together with Lina, dragged Jesus down and threw him on the ground.

"Are you alright?" Daryl looked Lina up and down carefully. She was a bit dirty, so it looked like they had been fighting.

"Look at my nails, they're all split." Lina held out her hand coquettishly. Actually, her nails weren't long, only slightly longer than her fingers, but they were too soft and often cracked.

Daryl always remembered to trim Lena's nails close to the tips, but this time he was only a couple of days late. Daryl glared at Jesus, then took out his nail clippers and started trimming Lena's nails.

Jesus frowned. "Hey, miss, are you sure you don't need help?" He noticed the rings on Lina and Daryl's hands. Were they real?

Daryl narrowed his eyes unhappily. This bastard is really annoying.

Rick tried to suppress the urge to smile as he bound Jesus.

No matter how many times, it's still hilarious.

“They’re adults, it was all voluntary, no one was a kidnapper,” Rick recalled Carol’s summary, and couldn’t help but laugh at the end, but then he remembered that the person in front of him was a liar, especially since he had lied to Rick, and Rick couldn’t laugh anymore.

Okay, their behavior was indeed very intimate and natural, but was it really not a lie? Jesus had doubts in his heart, but he had no grounds to stand on, and now that his hands and feet were tied, he might as well keep quiet.

“Paul, didn’t your friend tell you that your beard is rather unattractive? I bet you’re not popular with women, especially since that big beard of yours.” Lina made a face at Jesus.

“…” Daryl glanced at Jesus with displeasure, and then at the damned Paul.

“You’re wrong, they love my beard,” Jesus said with a shrug.

"You must be deluding yourself. No woman likes a beard. You'll definitely look ten years younger if you shave it off," Lina said.

“Stop talking to this bastard,” Daryl interrupted Lina. “We should leave.”

“I’m going to get some fuel,” Rick said. The truck was running low on fuel and probably wouldn’t make it back.

“Lina and I are watching him,” Daryl said. “The kid looks like he’s got a lot of tricks up his sleeve, so we’d better be careful.”

“Yes,” Rick nodded.

“Hey, what were you trying to ask me?” Jesus tried to strike up a conversation with Rick.

Rick sneered, "No, there's nothing there."

Daryl scoffed and said, "I told you I didn't want him."

Rick went into the gas station to search for supplies, while Daryl stared at Jesus menacingly, as if he wanted to kill him with his eyes.

Jesus, on the other hand, seemed quite at ease. "How did you two meet? I bet it was after the cataclysm?"

After all, before the cataclysm, some people would only end up in prison.

“Indeed,” Lina nodded. “And you, how did you develop your skills? Are you a secret agent?”

“It’s a secret,” Jesus said with a smile.

“Stingy,” Lina pouted. “How’s your camp? Do you have anything to trade with us?”

“I have no camp,” Jesus vehemently denied.

“Insincere,” Lina said disdainfully.

"And what about you? What about your camp?" Jesus asked, raising an eyebrow.

“Us? Aren’t the three of us right here? Then this must be the camp,” Lina said.

“Oh, not sincere, miss,” Jesus said.

“After all, some people’s credit has already been ruined, and you’ve offended the only person who was willing to trust you,” Lina said, knowing Rick must be very annoyed right now.

“It seems I’ve missed something incredible,” Jesus said ‘regretfully.’

"Are you growing a beard to hide your expression?" Lina suddenly felt that his beard made it easy for him to act, too easy to hide his true expression.

“It seems I have only learned of its wonderful use today,” Jesus said.

“…” Daryl gave a displeased snort.

Lina playfully poked his cheek. "You should shave too."

“…Wait until we get back,” Daryl said, feeling frustrated.

Lina blinked happily, and even a jealous Daryl was adorable.

Now Jesus truly believed that his worries were unnecessary.

“Your knife looks good,” Jesus said.

“Really? I think so too,” Lina seemed to have suddenly lost interest in chatting with Jesus. She gave him a perfunctory look and then started playing with Daryl’s fingers.

She seemed to have lost interest in teasing the guy, and Jesus wisely shut his mouth as well. After all, this Daryl didn't seem to want to chat with him; in fact, he looked like he wanted to punch himself.

After waiting for a while out of boredom, Daryl remembered the vending machine. He took his hand and walked over to it, breaking the glass with the crowbar from his backpack. Inside were only a few cans of soda and candy/cookies.

Just then, Rick came out with a can of oil and filled up the truck. Lena was still driving the car, but this time she was in front, and the truck followed behind.

Lina wondered if Jesus would still be persistent in chasing after her, glancing at her rearview mirror as she drove.

When they reached a barn ahead, Lina saw the truck behind them shaking violently; it seemed he had finally made his move.

Lena pulled the truck over to the side and watched as Rick slammed on the brakes, throwing Jesus off the roof. Daryl angrily jumped off the truck and gave chase.

It's so lively, so incredibly lively!

The car was moving, people were running, and people were chasing. Lina almost wanted to pull out a box of popcorn. It was really funny.

Seeing Rick park the truck by the lake, Lena stopped watching the show and ran over. Rick was clearing away the walkers in front of the truck, while Lena jumped into the truck. Again, she hated how tall the truck was, so she stepped on the gas and drove away from the lake.

After clearing out the walkers, Rick and Daryl surrounded Jesus. Jesus, who was about to run into the driver's seat of the truck, was beaten to it by Lena and had no choice but to turn around and flee in all directions.

He bet that if he got caught, he'd definitely get a beating.

The three of them darted around the room like eagles catching chicks. Lina, sitting higher up, had a better view and enjoyed watching the game very much.

Jesus hid in an abandoned car, and Daryl clung to him, trying to pull him out, while Rick went around to the other end to try and open the door.

Lina saw a walker walk toward Daryl behind him.

"Daryl!" Daryl, who was some distance away and in a fit of anger, didn't hear Lina's shouts at all. Lina jumped out of the car and ran towards them.

However, a gunshot rang out shortly afterward.

The voice coming from the car was that of Jesus.

“Thank you,” Lina heard Daryl say as she ran closer. Tsk, how polite! So cute! Lina thought.

Immediately afterwards, Daryl punched Jesus in the head, shouting, "That's my gun!"

How lovely it is that they clearly distinguish between gratitude and resentment!

I don't know what the two of them were doing, but the car started moving, and they rolled off it. Lina clearly saw Jesus' head being hit hard.

Now he really quieted down; he had no choice.

The three men looked at each other, staring at the fallen Jesus. What should they do?

“He saved you,” Rick said.

“Maybe,” Daryl said, reluctant to admit it.

"He didn't threaten you with a gun."

“Then I’ll throw him up in the tree.” Daryl pulled Jesus up and walked toward the tree.

Of course, in the end, Lena drove the van, Rick drove their car, and Daryl and the unconscious Jesus sat in the back.

To everyone's surprise, not only did they find a truckload of supplies, but they also picked up a person.
