Chapter 130

Chapter 130

Gunfire was as loud as firecrackers during the Lunar New Year. Lina was in a dangerous position and couldn't see what was happening to the others. She darted back and forth between the Salvation Army convoys, but luckily she had a weapon and could protect herself.

But no matter how hard they tried to escape, Lina was quickly caught, and Alexander wasn't much better off either, as they seemed to be under control as well.

Negan carried Lena into Alexandria, where the Saviors surrounded them, forming a circle. Carl knelt in the center. Negan released Lena as he approached Carl, then looked towards the distance where Jandis was escorting the limping Rick with a gun at the ready.

Rick was shot in the leg.

Looking around, Lina finally realized that she had forgotten about the Trash Gang, but they were not worth mentioning anyway, and in the end, Simon killed them all.

They think they're so great that they can get away with anything from the Saviors? The only one who can take advantage of them is Rick, the sucker.

"Kneel down, or I'll shoot you again." Lina heard Jandis say this to Rick, and Rick knelt down next to Carl. He glanced at Negan, then looked at Lina with concern.

He lost again.

"Damn it, Rick! Can't you just stick with us?" Negan walked up to Rick and stood crookedly next to him, looking at him. "Why do you have to go with these scavengers?"

Janet, standing behind Rick, immediately turned hostile. She had done Negan such a big favor, and yet she was being insulted like this?

“No offense intended,” Negan said to Jandis, not ignoring her gaze.

"We agreed on 12, right?" Jandis asked unhappily, trying to get more benefits for herself.

“Ten.” Negan’s expression immediately turned cold. “Talent is a resource.”

“12.” Jandis had no intention of compromising.

Negan gritted his teeth and remained silent, but his eyes were filled with murderous intent as he looked at Jandis. Jandis stared at him for a long time before she had no choice but to compromise. She couldn't afford to offend the Salvation Army. "Ten is fine too." Jandis turned and left with a gloomy face. Their deal was over.

Negan smiled again and looked at Rick, the troublesome boss who had been bothering him for some time.

“Rick!” Negan touched the tip of his nose. “This will make you very sad, heartbroken,” he said, slowly circling around Carl and Rick. “You’ll wish you were dead,” he strolled leisurely. “I like to joke around, really, but maybe you think I’m not the one who did that to your friend, that it was all just a show, that I’m not the one with the big stick, just the one making pasta for your kids.”

Rick calmly glanced at Negan.

That was the look Negan hated.

“Oh, damn it! Maybe it’s my fault, maybe it’s all my fault, I have to correct my mistakes, and I guess it’ll have to be all over again, right here, right here,” Negan lifted Lucille up. “I have to tell you, Rick, if I had a child, I would want him to be like your child, so this makes it even harder.”

Lina swallowed nervously. Was this old man going to kill Karl? Why was he talking so much nonsense? Where was Ezekiel? Where was the big tiger? Come quick, save them!

“You won’t win,” the tough guy Carl said, looking up at Negan without flinching.

At this point, are you still going to be stubborn?! Lina covered her face in despair, but if she were to beg for mercy, it wouldn't be her.

“Karl!” Negan called his name, seemingly overwhelmed with emotion. Lina sensed the regret in his tone and became even more anxious.

“It’s all over. Look over there and feel it.” The Salvation Army and the Trash Gang were arresting people in Alexandria. There were many familiar corpses on the ground. Then there was a scream, a scream that Rick, Carl, and Lina all knew.

Michonne.

Rick and Carl instantly burst into tears. Lina knew Michonne was alright, but Negan, that old bastard, squatted down in front of Rick with a sly grin, "Wow, you just lost someone important, God, the timing is perfect!"

Looking at Negan's ass, Lena really wanted to kick him, but with the Salvation Army surrounding her, she had to hold back.

Rick stared resentfully at Negan, tears welling in his eyes.

“Rick, this is your choice. I really don’t know how else I can warn you. And this isn’t a warning, it’s a punishment. I’m going to kill Carl now. I’ll swing hard, heavily, and try to kill him with one blow, because I like him. I just want you to keep this thought in your mind and savor it.”

Lena felt a pang of sadness as she watched Rick's tears fall. She gritted her teeth, and Dwight kept glancing at her, worried that she might do something rash.

“I’ll kill Carl, and then Lucille, and she’ll smash your hands,” Negan said.

“You can do it right in front of me, you can smash my hands. I’ve already told you, I’m going to kill you, all of you. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but nothing can change that. Nothing, you’re all dead.” Rick was like a dangerous beast, and Lena looked at him with worry.

Negan laughed in fury. "Damn it! Wow, Rick, fine," he said, not intending to say anything more, he stood up, walked behind Carl, and lifted Lucille up. "You said I could do this?"

Carl closed his eyes. Facing the moment of death, he was still a little scared, but he did not flinch or beg for mercy. He simply closed his eyes and accepted it all.

"You're insane!" Lina rushed to Negan's side, trying to shove him aside.

With a roar, Negan and Lena looked in horror to Negan's side and behind him. A huge tiger had pounced on one of the Salvation Army soldiers.

Holy crap! A real tiger! Knowing about it and seeing it with your own eyes are two different things! And this thing can't even tell friend from foe! Help!!!

Panic erupted around them. Negan, no longer caring about Carl and Rick, shoved Lena behind him, away from the tiger. He bent down, pressing Lena's head down as he warily watched the tiger. The Salvation Army soldiers around them began firing at the tiger, and more gunfire erupted, along with the neighing of horses.

"Kill the Salvation Army and their accomplices! Alexander will not fall, not today!"

Lena looked in the direction of the voice and saw a black man with a gray sausage-shaped haircut holding a scepter; he must be Ezekiel.

Suddenly the situation reversed, and more and more people came to help. Lina also saw Maggie and Glenn, who had arrived with the Hilltop people.

Daryl and Mor also returned with the men from Alexander who had not been captured.

"Bring it on, baby!" Moore laughed wildly. He'd been holding back for so long, and now it was time for these guys to be his grandsons!

Rick grabbed a gun and joined the fight. Negan, holding Lena, and the remaining Saviors retreated, hiding by the car. Lena looked at Daryl, then at Negan.

She struggled with the decision for a long time.

Negan pulled open the car door. "That's a fucking tiger! Get in!" he yelled at Lena.

“No,” Lena pulled out her gun and pointed it at Negan, “Stop!”

Negan paused, knowing full well that there was a mole within the Saviour Church. He stared at Lina with a complicated expression. "Fine, kill me then."

Dwight, who was firing nearby, was stunned. He almost got his head ripped open by Daryl's bullet. He quickly crouched down and said, "Negan, we have to hurry!"

Simon pointed his gun at Lena and yelled, "Get out of here!" But he didn't dare fire, and kept looking at Negan, hoping Negan would give the order.

“Kill me?” Negan calmly pressed his chest against Lena’s gun. “Don’t dare? Fine,” he said, walking around Lena. They got into the car and left Alexandria without looking back.

Lina glanced at Rick and the others. "Sorry, sorry."

“No, you don’t have to,” Rick simply patted Lena on the shoulder and continued chasing Negan.

Lena felt guilty. If she had spared Negan, the war would have ended quickly, and everyone would no longer be threatened by the Saviors. But now Rick was determined to kill Negan.

She just wanted Negan in the dark room; she didn't want him to die.

No matter how stubborn Negan is, he's still the Negan who subconsciously protects her. No matter how angry she is with Negan, she wouldn't dare to kill him. Negan's presence was almost everywhere in her childhood, and she just couldn't bring herself to do it.

The Garbage Gang had fled shortly after the battle began, and the remaining Saviors retreated quickly as well. When everyone tried to chase after them, the door wouldn't open. Daryl climbed into the RV, but there was no one outside.

Everyone started cleaning up; there were so many things to do in the community—the bodies, the wounded, and so much else to do.

Amy hugged Lina tightly, and everyone was happy to see that she was alright. However, Lina felt anxious and guilty.

After Daryl finished checking the doorway, he ran to Lina's side and hugged her tightly. "You said you'd be alright!"

"Uh, it was actually alright?" Lina chuckled awkwardly, even though Negan hadn't done anything to her in the end.

"We were terrified when we saw the coffin," Amy said angrily. "Thank goodness you're alright," she breathed a sigh of relief.

“I told you, this girl is wicked, she won’t die,” Moore walked over carrying his gun, glanced at Lina, and tsk, soft-hearted woman, “God, don’t they feed you? You look more like a bean sprout!” Why did he think of bean sprouts? It’s because that old man Hershel recently got a lot of beans from somewhere, and Alexander eats bean sprouts every day.

Lena glared at Moore. "Do you think I went off to enjoy myself?" When it came to food, she asked, "Is there any food?" She hadn't eaten anything yesterday, and for the past few days she hadn't had enough to eat, just rotten beans every day. The only thing she managed to get yesterday was some fruit from Negan. Fruit is delicious, but how can it be a meal?

Now, just thinking about food makes her stomach feel like it's rebelling!

“Let’s go, I’ll take you to look for it.” Daryl looked around. Everyone was busy, but there were enough people to handle it. Daryl decided to take Lina to the storeroom to find food and chat about Negan.

Amy and Moore didn't stop them, giving the young couple some time.

"Are you alright?" Amy glanced at Moore, unable to tell whether the blood on his body was someone else's or his.

“It’s nothing,” Moore shrugged. “What are we having for dinner?”

"...I'm not your mother, you can eat whatever you want!" Amy rolled her eyes, as long as no one was hurt.

“…You know what I love to eat, baby,” Moore said with a lewd grin as he chased after them. The two of them finished off the corpses along the way, exchanging barbs as they went.

The people of Alexandria were used to it, and even Andrea looked indifferent. They had tried to stop her, but couldn't. What to do? Kill her? Let her be.

In any case, the three communities have officially united to resist the Salvation Army, and the main force of the Salvation Army will not sit idly by; a major battle is on the way.
