Chapter 6
"Come here, Lina," Rick said with a helpless smile as he saw Lina covered in accessories.
Lina paused for a moment, then walked over to Rick with a clatter.
“This is Lina, Lina Lee,” Rick introduced to everyone.
“LI,” Lina emphasized.
Rick, who was interrupted, raised an eyebrow. "Yeah—LI, everyone, pay attention."
Lena shoved the weapon pouch into Rick's hand, "Hmph," don't think she didn't hear the sarcasm in Rick's tone.
Rick took the weapon bag and looked at Sean. "Did you bring this from the station?" Sean was somewhat surprised.
“I only took some, and I lost some on the way, but I think this should be enough for us for now.” Rick opened the bag, and Sean glanced at it. “This is really great, bro.”
Rick handed the bag to Sean and looked at Lowry. “When I woke up, I was confused… Lena and another friend saved me. He’s still in town and will probably come to find us soon.” Rick patted Carl’s head. “You’ll become good friends with his son.”
Carl nodded, which made him look forward to that unknown friend.
“Thank you,” Lowry gave Lina a big hug. “Thank you, child, I don’t know what to say…” Lowry was so excited that she was almost incoherent.
"..." Although being thanked and receiving a big hug made Lina a little happy, but! Lina pouted, feeling a little wronged.
Rick glanced at her and knew why she was unhappy. He suppressed a laugh and said, "This is our little adult, an eighteen-year-old little adult."
Lina glared at Rick.
"Eighteen years old?" Karl looked at Lina in disbelief, which made Lina even more depressed.
“Impossible…” Glenn shook his head. “I don’t believe you…”
Under Lena's death stare, Glenn zipped up his mouth.
“Looks like I’m not the only one with doubts,” Rick raised an eyebrow. “Questions from our Asian colleagues seem to carry more weight?”
Glenn kept his mouth shut, but he kept giving winks and nodding.
“I hate you!” Lina said to Glenn like a baring little dog.
“So how old are you exactly? It’s a shame I can’t ask you for your ID card right now,” Rick asked.
“18…” Lina said with a forced smile, “Okay, okay… 17… okay! 16! Are you satisfied now!” Lina angrily threw down her backpack, crossed her arms and looked at Rick, “It’s already the end of the world, why are you still asking girls about their age? You’d better watch out or your wife will leave you.”
Lowry gave an awkward laugh, and Rick shrugged. "I was just curious."
“16 and 18 aren’t that different. Besides, we Asians have our own way of calculating, right, Glenn?” Lina glared at Glenn menacingly.
Glenn shrugged helplessly. "I'm used to the normal age calculation method."
Lina curled her lip. "Traitor."
“When you reach my age, you’ll understand the benefits of using the normal age calculation method,” Glenn said.
"No, I'll stay eighteen forever," Lina muttered softly, since it was ultimately her decision anyway.
"Little brat~" Moore chuckled, casually carrying a few backpacks as he walked towards his tent.
“Hey! Moore, supplies should be distributed together,” Andrea interrupted.
“Get out of here,” Moore said fiercely. “I came all this way not to let these cowards hiding in the camp enjoy themselves. Want something? Come and trade with me!” Then he licked his lips and looked at Andrea ambiguously. “How about we go and have a big fight, baby? You can have whatever you want.”
Rick glanced at the commotion beside the truck, rubbed his temples in annoyance, and then looked at Sean.
Sean pursed his lips helplessly, glanced at Moore with disdain, picked up his gun, and walked over.
“Moore, put the things down.” Sean threatened, pointing the gun at Moore.
"I've had enough of you two bastards!" Moore touched his waist; his gun had been taken! Damn it!
"Put those things down," Sean snapped, his face grim.
"What? What are you going to do? Shoot me?" Moore licked his lips, took two steps forward with an air of confidence, and pressed his chest against the muzzle of the gun.
Sean rolled his eyes. He wondered, what's the point of living for such a scoundrel?
Lina looked at Mor, and sure enough, bringing him back would cause trouble.
“I want to duel him,” Lina said.
“What?” Lowry was stunned for a moment and looked at Rick.
Rick scratched his head, feeling a bit of a headache. "Lina..."
“I want to duel him,” Lina insisted, taking off her bag. “Keep an eye on this for me.”
Moore found it even more amusing as he watched Lina walk towards him. "What's wrong, a mini inflatable doll?"
Lina narrowed her eyes. "You really are a jerk."
Moll looked at Lina with disdain.
"Rick! Get her away!" Sean shouted impatiently as he turned around.
Moll seized the opportunity, threw away his bag, and began to wrestle with Sean for the gun.
"Hey! Hey! Hey!" Dale shouted, trying to stop the two men. Did they have no brains? That's a gun! An accidental discharge would be disastrous!
Lina, who was standing to the side, thought the same thing, especially since she was extremely afraid of guns going off accidentally.
Lina grabbed Moore from behind and flung him out in an arc.
Moll, who had been shaken off, was stunned for a moment.
WTF?
Not only Moore, but everyone present was stunned.
"WOW—is that Chinese Kung Fu?" Karl excitedly grabbed Lowry's hand.
Lori was stunned; now she truly believed it—Lina had saved Rick.
Although what Rick said was different from what Lowry thought.
"You little slut—" Moore got up in a fit of rage and threw a punch at Lina.
"Tsk," Lina felt a sense of despair. This kind of scoundrel, God, she should have let him go through the storyline. He's hopeless, completely hopeless!
"Hey! Watch out!" Glenn called out worriedly, seeing Lina lost in thought.
Lina looked at Moore, calmly caught his fist, and threw him over her shoulder.
She didn't know any kung fu; she learned these moves from her great-uncle's morning exercises. And, she was really, really, really strong!
Lina quickly straddled Mor and started pounding his face.
"Watch your mouth!" Lina punched Moore with every word she said.
"Don't make dirty jokes at me, I'm still a minor, you bastard!"
"No sexual harassment of anyone in the camp, you animal with your lower body in your head!"
"From now on, you have to call me 'Boss,' understand?"
Four punches in a row left Moore dizzy and everyone else speechless.
Mo'er spat, "Go to hell, you yellow-skinned monkey."
"Hey!" Everyone glared at Moore with displeasure. Rick, suppressing his anger, walked over to Moore. "Listen, we don't play the white supremacy card anymore. Whether you're dark-skinned or light-skinned, we're all just meat in the mouths of the walkers. The world has changed, and you have to accept it, understand?"
In response, Moore spat a thick wad of phlegm onto his clothes.
"This is the first time in my life I've ever been subjected to such racial discrimination in my face," Lina said, somewhat dazed.
Rick looked at his clothes with some disdain, but he just took a deep breath, kept calm, and patted Lena's shoulder reassuringly.
"He's incredibly stupid, just ignore him," T said.
“Damn black bastard,” Moore started swearing indiscriminately.
Lina stared at Moore for a long time. "I shouldn't have saved you." She picked Moore up and slammed him to the ground. Moore struggled and kicked Lina off him, spitting out a mouthful of blood.
"Little girl, I will definitely kill you today," he said fiercely.
"Really?" Lina brushed the dirt off her clothes and looked at Moore. "Then I'll definitely cut off your lower body and feed it to the walkers."
Rick glanced at Lina with a headache. He really wanted to say, "There are children here."
Teenagers. Troublesome teenagers.
Rick looked at Lowry, who also had a hesitant expression.
In the blink of an eye, when Rick looked at Lina again, Moore had already been punched in the stomach by Lina and vomited.
Moore was completely stunned. The gazes of those around him felt like knives piercing him. His dignity was almost trampled underfoot and crushed into dust by this little brat.
Damn it, he has to kill her.
However strong his desire was, this incredibly strong child managed to pin him to the ground and prevent him from getting up.
Lina still felt she wasn't strong enough; her dream was to give Mor the Hulk the experience of throwing Loki.
Unfortunately, Lina is just an ordinary human; no matter how strong she is, she can't be that abnormal.
After fighting for a long time, Lina was exhausted, and Mo'er had turned into a puddle.
"Do you submit or not?" Lina asked breathlessly, grabbing Mor by the collar.
Moore, his eyes barely open, mumbled, "F%*k you."
Lina loosened her grip, and Moore fell to the ground. "You idiot!" Lina kicked Moore angrily.
Her fists versus Moore's bastard.
The bastard won a great victory.
Lina pouted and walked sadly toward her backpack. She couldn't possibly kill him, could she?
He was not convinced, he simply was not convinced.
She was helpless and could only keep regretting why she had saved him in the first place.
Or rather, what gave her the right to think she saved him? Even without Lina's intervention, Moore would have just lost a hand and become the governor's lackey.
That might be what he wants, rather than staying here.
Now look what's happened! Her meddling might prevent Daryl and Rick from developing a deeper relationship.
Lena was somewhat frustrated. She began to doubt whether her previous decision was right. Was it really a good thing to change the already established fate of these people?
Was she saving them, or did she just think she was saving them?
Like Schrödinger's cat, Lina is now hesitant about whether she should continue opening the box.
"Where are you going?" Rick asked, looking at Lina who seemed a little off.
"I'm going to find somewhere to calm down," Lina said without turning her head.
"Hey!" Rick glanced at Lori and Carl, then looked at Lina, who was walking away, with a headache.
