Chapter 90

Chapter 90

Lena and Daryl snuggled up on the small sofa and watched the video of her when she was five years old. Lena knew immediately after just one glance that it was her, that it had always been her.

The family of four in the picture looks very happy. Lina also saw her fighting with a boy who was older than her. She punched him and knocked him down. Then there was Deanna's laughter.

I guess she hit Deanna's son.

“She said she has a spare one, you can keep this one.” Daryl looked down at Lina, whose eyes were bloodshot and whose nose was also red.

"I feel like my luck is really weird. I can still get videos of my parents in the apocalypse," Lina said with a forced smile.

“You don’t have to laugh if you don’t want to,” Daryl said. “You don’t have to pretend.”

“No, I’ve been crying too much lately, like a coward,” Lina whined. “They’ll laugh at me.”

“Huh…” Daryl pouted.

Lena looked up at him. "Even though you were eavesdropping on my conversation with Rick, thank you."

“If only the first half of that sentence were gone,” Daryl lowered his head and kissed Lina’s lips. Sitting in Daryl’s lap, the way he tilted his head back to kiss her wasn’t comfortable for Lina, but Daryl only gave her a light kiss and quickly released her. Lina sat up, turned around, spread her legs, and knelt upright on both sides, straightening her upper body. This allowed her to look down at Daryl from a slightly higher position.

Lina cupped Daryl's face and kissed him. The peaceful environment and less-than-ideal mood made Lina want to do something that could bring joy.

Daryl was practically curled up on the sofa, letting Lena control him. Lena's tongue playfully traced the inside and outside of Daryl's lips, as if she wanted to draw his lips with her tongue.

Daryl couldn't resist reaching out to hug Lina; she was so nagging, only caring about her own leisurely play and completely ignoring his discomfort.

Lina released Daryl and leaned back. "Don't even think about it, you haven't showered yet."

Daryl glared at Lina angrily. "You little brat," he said through gritted teeth.

Lena chuckled and leaned in to kiss Daryl on the corner of his mouth in a flattering manner. "Why don't you go inside and take care of it yourself?"

Daryl snorted, reached out and covered Lina's eyes with his large hand, and pulled her into his arms with his other hand. Lina buried herself in Daryl's arms, heard the sound of a zipper being pulled open, and then heard Daryl's panting in her ears.

Lina's ears turned bright red. She tried to sit up, but while moving, she accidentally touched someone's hardworking hand, and Daryl's breathing became even more erotic.

Lina simply gave up, closed her eyes, buried herself in Daryl's chest, and pretended not to know anything.

“Hmm, the way she looked at me was like I was a kidnapper…” Daryl stopped and turned his head to kiss Lina’s cheek.

Diana, perhaps? Lina guessed.

"Hurry up!" Lena slapped Daryl's chest in embarrassment and annoyance. "Stop talking about irrelevant things!"

Daryl laughed, and Lina, lying on his chest, heard his muffled but deep laughter.

"Help me, hmm?" He lowered his voice, which sounded a little hoarse due to some activity. His voice was close to Lina's ear, and his breath was on her earlobe. This made her legs go weak and she shudder. She wanted to get away, but she was held firmly in his arms.

Daryl took Lina's hand and began working skillfully.

As a result, Lina preferred to kill hundreds of walkers rather than do this job anymore.

Her hands trembled uncontrollably, and the burning sensation seemed to linger.

Lena glared at Daryl, who was holding a handkerchief and wiping her hands clean one by one. He had to do it, otherwise this spoiled brat would throw another tantrum.

“I’m going to take a shower,” Lina complained.

"Together?" Daryl raised an eyebrow at her.

“Have some shame,” Lina snapped, pulling her hand away from Daryl’s arms. “What’s wrong with you? I knew you men would all turn into bastards when you get together.”

Daryl shrugged. "It's been months. I'm not really a monk."

“That won’t do either,” Lina made a face at Daryl and ran into the room next door.

"Get me some clothes and a towel!" Lina shouted to Daryl as she opened the door.

"Okay," Daryl said, taking a moment to compose himself before slowly walking downstairs. Everyone's luggage was piled up on the first floor, and there was a bunch of towels that Aaron had brought at the door. Daryl found Lena's backpack and his own, picked up the bags, grabbed two more towels, and went upstairs.

"Hey!" Daryl heard Moore calling him and turned around in confusion. A box hit him in the chest. Daryl instinctively grabbed the box, glanced at it, and then quietly stuffed it into his pocket.

“Old Moore is really going to great lengths,” Moore said with a sly smile.

Daryl gave Moore a disdainful look. "You'd better stop laughing."

Hmph, Mor didn't care about Daryl's words at all, and just continued to smile lewdly.

Amy threw the blanket over with a hint of disgust, covering Moore's head. "Move your big ass and get out of the way!"

Daryl gave Moore a mocking look, picked up his bag, and went upstairs.

A hot bath is truly relaxing. Lina closed her eyes in enjoyment, letting the hot water splash on her face. This was a genuine hot bath, so valuable that she wouldn't trade it for three cans of meat!

Of course, ten bottles are worth considering.

Five bottles will do.

The bathroom door opened, and Daryl must have brought her things over. "Just put them by the door," Lina said through the curtain.

It's a pity there's no bath towel; I never feel like I'm getting clean just from using shower gel.

Lina could only manage to scrub her body with her own hands, thinking she must find Hua Chao to give her a good thrashing another day.

Lost in thought, Lina was hugged from behind. Lina rolled her eyes. "I knew it."

Daryl chuckled. "So that's why you didn't close the door?"

“That’s because you were getting me clothes, not anything else,” Lina nudged Daryl to make him let go of her.

"Go take a shower." She just showered; don't get it dirty.

This wasn't the time to cause trouble, since he hadn't showered yet and if he pushed his luck any further, Lina would definitely kick him out.

Daryl picked up the soap and lathered himself from head to toe.

Lina stared in disbelief. "But... you really wash your whole body with just one bar of soap?"

Daryl glanced at Lina indifferently, "It's fine as long as it's washed clean."

"So rough!" Lina hesitated, then stopped herself in her tracks. Daryl had already started rinsing the foam.

Speechless.

“No, you have to use this,” Lena squeezed two pumps of shower gel onto Daryl’s body. Daryl wrinkled his nose in disgust. “No!” He wanted to run away, but the bathroom was so small and the floor was so slippery. He was afraid that Lena would chase after him and make him fall.

"Stop struggling!" Lina grinned maliciously, forcefully pressing Daryl against the wall, rubbing back and forth, then taking out shampoo and spraying it onto his head three times.

Daryl felt like a desperate salted fish; the toiletries in the bathroom smelled horribly.

He didn't even dare to imagine how Moore would laugh at him when he went downstairs.

“Rub your own hair,” Lina patted Daryl’s bottom and let go of him.

Daryl glanced at Lina with annoyance, rubbed his hair a couple of times, and was about to rinse it off when Lina gave him a death stare. He had no choice but to obediently and carefully rub his hair again. Finally, Lina took pity on him and gave Daryl the hot water.

Daryl felt like his nose was being bullied and sneezed because of the fragrance.

Watching Daryl finish his shower, Lina went out to get a towel. Daryl casually tossed the towel and clothes onto the sink, next to a box of condoms that was clearly visible.

really……

Hearing the sound of water inside, Lina opened the box, took a look, grabbed one, and turned back.

Anyway, the soundproofing in this room is pretty good. Hmm.

“Just once,” Lina declared domineeringly.

Daryl turned around and saw the small package she was dangling in her hand, raising an eyebrow. "I'm fine with anything."

...

"You bastard! When will you ever stop?!"

"You said just once."

"%¥#..."

...

In the end, Lina fell into a deep sleep, completely unconscious.

Well, after sneaking around for so long, everyone now knows what they were doing.

After placing Lina on the bed, Daryl tidied up the bathroom, casually ran his fingers through his half-dry hair, and went downstairs.

Everyone looked like they had just been renovated, and the air in the house felt fresher.

“My God, you look like you’ve been fished out of a perfume jar!” Just as Daryl had guessed, Moore was the first to exclaim.

"Of course you do, don't you take showers?" Daryl said without changing his expression.

"Tsk," Moore looked Daryl up and down, then lay down on the floor with a lewd smile, remaining calm and saying nothing more.

He's not so perverted as to make fun of his brother's sex life in front of so many people.

Everyone had made their beds and found their places. Daryl looked around and prepared to curl up by the window. As for Lina… Daryl awkwardly scratched his cheek. If he dared to lift her down like that, he would probably be in big trouble tomorrow.

Rick glanced at him but didn't say anything, or rather, he wanted to say something but was interrupted by the knocking.

The sudden knocking made everyone freeze for a moment, which made them feel very uncomfortable.

Rick walked to the door, opened it, and there was Deanna. She looked at Rick and the others with some surprise.

"Wow..." Deanna was stunned. "I didn't expect you to be so handsome. Listen, I didn't mean to bother you. I just happened to be passing by to see how you've settled in..." She looked around. "Um, where's Lina?"

Rick glanced at Daryl, then looked at Deanna without changing his expression. "Upstairs, well, it'll be better for her to be alone for now."

Deanna glanced at Daryl. Was it that video? She sighed. "Listen, I'm very good friends with her parents. After that incident, I don't know how much you know..."

“She did say that,” Rick said.

"In short, it was a huge blow to her, not only physically but also mentally. She was in a coma for a long time. We went to see her, but she never woke up," Diana said, almost in tears as she thought of Lina, who was on the verge of death. "Later, her guardians refused our visits, saying she couldn't handle any more stress..."

Deanna sighed. "Was she alone when you met her?"

Rick licked his lips, thought for a moment, and said, "Yes."

Deanna looked at him for a while, so what happened to Lina afterward? He knew, but he didn't want to say.

Rick calmly allowed Deanna to scrutinize him.

Deanna was silent for a moment, then laughed again. She looked at the people in the room. "My God, living together, so clever!"

“Nobody said you can’t,” Rick said.

“You said you were a family, you said it yourself. It’s unbelievable that you people from such different backgrounds and with nothing in common could form such a big family, don’t you think?” Deanna said.

“I heard you’re going to assign tasks to everyone,” Rick asked himself, without responding to the question, which was also the topic everyone was most interested in.

“Yes,” Deanna nodded, “that’s the rule here. It seems communism has finally won.” Deanna seemed to chuckle as if she had thought of something. “If they were here… we’d have so much to talk about.” She seemed a little nostalgic.

“Ethan and Sue are both very good people,” Deanna said. “Lina is too, but she’s been very mischievous since she was little and always manages to annoy Sue. Ethan always tries to mediate between them, or as he puts it, he tries to smooth things over.” Deanna smiled. “Lina can come and talk to me about them anytime she wants.”

Rick just smiled. He didn't agree to Lena's request and went back to his previous topic, "You didn't assign me any work."

“I’ve already made the arrangements,” Deanna said with a smirk, “I just haven’t told you yet.” She glanced inside. “I haven’t told Michonne either.”

“I’ve figured out a job for Sasha soon,” she said, but her thoughts turned to Daryl with a hint of melancholy. “I’m still thinking about what kind of job Mr. Dixon would be best suited for, but I’ll come up with something.”

Deanna finally stared at Rick's face and nodded repeatedly, "He looks quite energetic."
