Chapter 20 Send Jiang Yao away

"Master Jiang, who is this little girl?"

Jiang Ao hurriedly introduced: "This is my second granddaughter."

Then he said to Jiang Yao, "This is Lord He, and this is Lord Yuan."

Jiang Ao deliberately emphasized Lord He's introduction, and Jiang Yao was stunned for a moment.

A message suddenly came to mind.

When she first came here, she ran back from the wild and was rescued by He Wan'er. Then the He family said that she stayed at their house for one night.

It seems that Jiang Ao already knew about this matter, so he reminded her that this Lord He was He Wan'er's father.

Jiang Yao bowed again and said, "Greetings, Lord He. I wonder if Wan'er has already arrived at Master Su's Feiyan Palace."

Hearing this familiar tone, Lord He smiled and said, "Wan'er has already gone, but you are the one who is taking so long."

"This girl has been slow since she was young." Jiang Ao joked and then said, "Hurry up and go in, Yao'er."

"Yes, then my granddaughter will leave first."

"Master He, Master Yuan, Yao'er will take her leave first."

"Second Miss Jiang, take care."

Looking at Jiang Yao's back, Lord Yuan suddenly said, "Teacher Jiang, your second granddaughter doesn't seem to be as the rumors in Jincheng say."

Jiang Ao's expression changed slightly, and his voice became colder: "Master Yuan is already old, don't you still not understand that rumors stop at the wise?"

Master Yuan laughed awkwardly: "Haha, that's right, Master Jiang's granddaughter must be both talented and beautiful."

After laughing, his eyes lit up and he asked, "Master Jiang, your second granddaughter is almost sixteen, right?"

“Almost.”

"I wonder if he has promised me?"

Although it was said outside that Jiang Yao was stupid and ugly, had no manners, and was obsessed with Zhao Ce, Lord Yuan now thought that Jiang Yao was a polite and pretty girl, and he was somewhat tempted by her.

Before Jiang Ao could say anything, Lord He spoke up: "Lord Yuan, don't even think about it. The Second Miss Jiang is now serving Master Su. Even Master Jiang has no say in the matter. The marriage must be granted by the Emperor."

"Master He is wrong. This is an honor to be granted a marriage. That is the Saint Maiden. Isn't Miss Jiang the maid when she goes to Feiyan Palace?"

Jiang Ao's face darkened. "Even if she is a maid, she is Master Su's maid, and moreover, a maid chosen by the Emperor. Your Yuan family can't possibly marry into her family."

"I don't agree with what you said, Grand Tutor Jiang. My grandson is both talented and handsome, and he's well-read. Even the emperor praised his calligraphy. Why would he use the word 'climb'?"

Jiang Ao snorted coldly and left in anger.

"Master He, please tell me."

"Master Yuan, please calm down. Don't you know your own status? Do you want Grand Tutor Jiang to take care of your granddaughter?"

"Hey, what do you mean? How is my grandson unworthy?"

"Second Miss, where do you put your things?"

The young man is already standing in Feiyan Palace.

Jiang Yao herself was also confused. She didn't know where she lived.

"Put it here for me first. Someone should come and take me in later."

The young man gently put the box down and said, "Second Miss, I will go back first."

"Okay, thank you."

"Second Miss, you are too polite. I will take my leave now."

It was noon, the time when the sun was at its hottest. Jiang Yao looked around and saw no one. There were several intersections ahead and behind, and she didn't dare to walk around randomly. If she took the wrong path and got lost, that would be a small matter. But if she encountered something she shouldn't have, she would be finished.

She was deeply influenced by current TV dramas and always felt that there were conspiracies everywhere in the palace, and if she accidentally encountered any, she would be killed to silence her.

So Jiang Yao didn't dare to walk around and waited under the crooked cherry tree at the door.

It was noon and the sun was shining. Jiang Yao must have felt drowsy and dozed off against the tree.

When she woke up with a start, it was already dark around her.

I slept until evening.

When she looked again, her suitcase was still there, but no one came to pick her up.

Jiang Yao let out a breath. If she wasn't afraid of losing her head, she would have turned around and left without serving him.

But she was afraid of death, so she picked up the box listlessly and walked in at a random intersection.

"—Damn you Su Qianji, I've never met such a stingy man. He just coveted your man, and I didn't even get him, so why would you treat me like this? Ugh, why is this Feiyan Palace so huge? Where am I even in this place? Oh, this box is so heavy."

From dusk to nightfall, Jiang Yao was still lost.

Unable to carry it anymore, she put the box down and rested on the spot.

In the room just across the wall, the man put down the pen in his hand.

Rubbing his brows, he pointed to the door and said, "Go and send Jiang Yao away."

Jiang Yao sat on the box with a frown on her face. She glanced and seemed to see a familiar figure. She felt that she was seeing things and stared at it for a while.

When she was sure it wasn't her illusion, she quickly stood up and said, "Master Langqi."

Langqi said nothing, walked over, picked up her box, and then walked forward in silence.

Jiang Yao hurriedly followed him.

Langqi walked very fast, and she had a hard time keeping up. She had to jog all the way to barely keep up.

"You'll live here from now on."

Langqi, with a grim look on his face, dropped the box and left.

Jiang Yao curled her lips. Seeing him like this, she was too lazy to say thank you and went into the house to clean up.

"Master, Jiang Yao has been sent over."

The man slowly lowered the book in his hand, revealing a pair of deep and narrow eyes.

"Where is the maid who led her?"

"I just went to ask. The palace maid Xiaoying was supposed to take Jiang Yao there, but was dragged away by Jiang Shu to help. Jiang Shu said she would help Jiang Yao lead the way. Xiaoying didn't go to confirm whether Jiang Yao was brought in."

The man frowned and put down the book in his hand.

"Throw that Xiaoying out of the palace."

"yes."

As soon as Lang Qi left, a round ball of flesh rolled out from under Su Qianji's wheelchair.

The meatball rolled several times around Su Qianji's feet, making Su Qianji angry.

He glared at her coldly: "Bai Chu, be quiet."

Bai Chu didn't dare to say a word and carefully curled up his round body.

Being looked at by it pleadingly, Su Qianji felt a little annoyed: "Are you hungry?"

Bai Chu nodded and looked at him pitifully.

Su Qianji raised his hand and pointed in a direction: "There is a roast chicken in the pavilion over there."

Bai Chu jumped happily.

"Don't hurt anyone."

Hearing the man's light warning, Bai Chu turned around and nodded to indicate that he understood, then disappeared from the room in a flash.

Jiang Yao had already tidied up the room, but his stomach couldn't hold it anymore and he kept shouting that he needed to be fed.

Patting her belly, she said weakly, "Don't shout, I'm hungrier than you."

Where could she find food so late at night? The key point was that she wasn't familiar with the place.

I wanted to just sleep, but I tossed and turned in bed and couldn't fall asleep.

Jiang Yao suddenly sat up from the bed: "No, executioners always insist on eating a full stomach before going on the journey, why should I starve?"
