Chapter 22 Reporting His Domestic Violence

Xia Wenhua remained calm and composed the whole way. When they arrived at the division commander's office, everyone else was deflated and dared not speak, but she maintained her natural demeanor.

When the division commander asked her what she was there for, Xia Wenhua clearly explained that the people from Battalion Commander Li's family were gossiping in the family compound, and then she added a new dimension to the matter.

"Commander, you know the current atmosphere outside. I think that gossiping is inherently dangerous."

Rumors can kill. They don't know me, they don't even recognize me when I stand in front of them, yet they dare to say that I am ugly and morally flawed.

If they really succeed, then in the future, if someone dislikes another person or has a conflict of interest with them, won't it be enough to just spread some rumors?

The military is a relatively simple place, and I feel we absolutely must not encourage this kind of unhealthy trend.

Having been a manager before, Xia Wenhua wasn't afraid to escalate the situation to a higher level.

She set a very high standard from the start, which once again sounded the alarm for Commander Mo, who was already prepared to take the matter seriously, making him even more cautious.

"You're absolutely right, this matter must be dealt with seriously!"

All sorts of weirdos are coming out now; it's really chaotic.

The military operates under a different system than the outside world, and almost every leader strives to maintain peace and order within the military.

Soldiers' time is for defending their country and should not be wasted on these trivial matters.

If the soldiers' families are affected by mere rumors, Commander Mo must strictly prohibit such behavior.

He had a plan in mind, but he didn't say much. Instead, he first asked the aggrieved party for their opinion.

"Comrade, I understand the situation you've described. I will handle this on behalf of the military. Do you have any specific requests?"

Xia Wenhua immediately understood what was going on. Commander Mo himself liked people who presented facts and reasoned with her instead of making a fuss.

Even though Xia Wenhua came to him to complain, he wasn't offended at all.

He was the head of the local government, so it was his duty to resolve disputes within the area.

If everyone who came to him with a complaint could pinpoint the crux of the problem in just a few words, like Xia Wenhua could, he would save himself a lot of trouble.

“Commander, my wife is Pei Songbai, the regimental commander of the First Regiment. My name is Xia Wenhua. You can just call me Xia.”

Having finished filing her complaint, Xia Wenhua introduced herself to her teachers with a smile before slowly stating her demands.

“Every soldier is respectable, and Battalion Commander Li is also a soldier. We certainly can’t let family matters affect him.”

All I want is justice. Once this matter is resolved, could you perhaps have these women apologize to me on the radio and clarify things for everyone?

While spouting righteous words, Xia Wenhua didn't hold back in dragging Battalion Commander Li out again to give him a good dressing down.

From Sister Ye's words, she roughly understood why Battalion Commander Li's wife would cause her trouble. This whole thing started because of Battalion Commander Li, so she couldn't let him disappear so easily.

Even if Commander Mo investigates the situation later, the person she specifically mentioned when she complained will surely receive his due reward.

Xia Wenhua had a lot of dirty tricks on her mind, but she still maintained a selfless appearance on her face.

She was forced to come and complain by people like Battalion Commander Li's wife, it definitely has nothing to do with her!

As a military family member, I've been the subject of gossip for so long, and in the end, I've made such a big fuss to file a complaint. All I need is for the instigator to apologize. How could Commander Mo refuse?

He immediately agreed to Xia Wenhua's request and asked the other family members on the spot whether Xia Wenhua's words were true. He even called over Battalion Commander Li because Xia Wenhua specifically mentioned him, and criticized him in front of the family members.

When Xia Wenhua came out of the division commander's office, she immediately felt refreshed and even smiled kindly at Battalion Commander Li and his wife.

"Battalion Commander Li, ladies, the division commander said you'd apologize to me over the loudspeaker next Monday. I'm waiting for that!"

The main ones who were just scolded were Battalion Commander Li and his wife. The two of them glared at Xia Wenhua fiercely, to which Xia Wenhua responded with an even brighter smile.

As for the other sisters-in-law, they only received a verbal reprimand. At least their men weren't called over to be scolded, so it didn't affect them. They weren't that angry, and were even a little afraid of Xia Wenhua because of her outburst.

Upon hearing Xia Wenhua's words, one of the women stepped forward and bowed directly to Xia Wenhua.

"Sister, I'm sorry, I was wrong today. I'll definitely apologize to you properly next week!"

None of us are bad people; we're just too bored at home all day, doing nothing but taking care of the kids and housework. So when something gossips up, we all start talking about it.

These people didn't have any malicious intent. Although they did do something wrong, there's no need to condemn them outright.

They both sincerely apologized, and Xia Wenhua didn't hold a grudge; her attitude was also quite good.

"The sisters-in-law were also deceived; they'll be more careful next time."

Xia Wenhua would certainly not refuse the right to hear others apologize on the radio, a right she had fought for in front of her teachers.

However, her attitude towards these military wives was clearly different from that of Battalion Commander Li's wife; anyone could sense that.

Battalion Commander Li was summoned from the military camp. At first, when he heard the division commander calling him, he thought it was something good, but when he arrived, he was immediately scolded.

He was furious at the idiot next to him. Everyone else had apologized, but his idiot didn't even know to apologize. He kicked him.

"Are you a pig? Everyone else apologizes, but you can't even speak properly? Hurry up and say something, aren't you the best at talking?"

Battalion Commander Li's wife was kicked, and she flinched, glancing at Battalion Commander Li furtively. She didn't dare to argue back at all, but instead immediately and obediently apologized to Xia Wenhua.

"Comrade Xia, I'm sorry, I was wrong."

At this moment, she was completely devoid of her previous arrogance, looking like a bullied little wife.

It was clearly Battalion Commander Li who was bullying her, but when she apologized to Xia Wenhua, it was as if Xia Wenhua was the one who forced her into this situation.

Xia Wenhua didn't tolerate this behavior. She found it annoying to even glance at people she didn't want to talk to, and turned to leave.

Battalion Commander Li immediately slapped his wife: "You idiot, hurry up and apologize! If they don't forgive you, I'll beat you to death!"

Battalion Commander Li's wife suddenly became pitiful and wanted to follow Xia Wenhua, clearly intending to cling to her.

In the blink of an eye, Xia Wenhua hadn't gone far from the division commander's office when she dashed back in one stride.

"Commander Mo, I'm reporting Battalion Commander Li for domestic violence!"
