Su Ran looked at the bodyguards around her and felt that their hands were empty.
After browsing around the mall, he pushed the large box he had bought out and called to a halt to everyone still working, "Everyone, take some small toys."
The people around were not puzzled by the sudden appearance of the large box; they were all products of interstellar travel and naturally knew the young lady's identity.
Su Jia, who was closest, opened the large box and was greeted by a variety of guns and ammunition.
Everyone quickly got equipped, including Su Qingjiu, while Su Ran played with the specially made wooden gun she had bought at a high price from the mall.
The items in the system store are mostly top-tier, and the prices aren't cheap, so trading with arms dealers is still quite necessary.
Su Ran looked at the manor, which had originally looked empty, but gradually became fuller as one large truck after another came in and out.
Su Ran then got up and went back to her room to wash up. She changed into a wine-red halter dress, paired with a pair of off-white high heels inlaid with rhinestones. Her hair was casually tied up, with a few strands playfully falling beside her ears.
...
The mercenary group arrived quickly, and Su Ran looked at the twelve people sitting in front of her.
Eight foreign men, four of whom were dashing women.
Su Ran observed the formation of the group and concluded that it was probably led by the bearded man.
All twelve people were foreigners. The bearded man saw that his employer was Chinese, but none of them had learned Mandarin. "We took your job on the black net," he said.
Su Qingjiu and the others did not reply, but simply stood quietly beside the young lady.
Su Ran did not reply immediately, but instead sized up the group of men. The men all looked very strong, some tall and some short, but each of them had a hint of murderous intent in their eyes.
The four women were dressed neatly and cleanly, all with short hair, and the bulges at the back of their waists indicated that they were carrying their own weapons.
One of the women, wearing a brown camouflage vest, was beautiful, but her exposed skin was covered in scars.
Su Ran looked at her with interest, their eyes met in mid-air, and both of them were amazed. Su Ran smiled and looked straight at her, "Somking hot."
As women, we all love to hear compliments, especially from a stunning beauty. A woman might smile and reply, "You're so charming and very rich."
The woman looked at Su Ran's stunning face and said again, "You're breathtaking."
This woman was right up her alley. She was dressed in desert tactical camouflage, tall and beautiful, with blonde hair and blue eyes. Her skin was a healthy tan from years of battlefield exposure.
A woman is beautiful, and the more she survives the gunfire of war, the more potent her poison becomes. This is an unchanging truth existing in nature.
From this perspective, Su Ran's first impression of them was quite good. She stated her thoughts, "I can hire you and give you a good price, but I need to know who your enemies are."
—(First, throw in a few phrases of foreign language, then switch to Chinese to replace all other languages)—
The bearded man looked at the beautiful woman sitting on the sofa. Her fluent London accent made him wonder if she was a Chinese person who had lived in the United States for a long time.
"We just couldn't stand those drug-selling bastards in the Golden Triangle, so we took care of a few of them. If you're worried about that, you don't have to hire us."
The bearded man was somewhat nervous as he said this, but if he kept it a secret and it was discovered, the other party would be even less likely to hire them.
I might as well just tell the truth.
As the man finished speaking, the entire room fell silent, and the mercenaries were somewhat tense.
They were restricted from accepting missions, and the mission hall wouldn't assign them any missions either, leaving them helpless.
Private business owners never hire them either, opting instead to forgo the danger and instead hire new mercenary groups.
Therefore, the twelve of them had no choice but to spend their days watching missions in the mission hall.
They not only need to find someone who can support twelve people, but also need to consider the tasks assigned by the employer.
However, due to the restrictions imposed on them by the mission hall, some high-level missions are no longer accessible. They can only view missions posted by smaller, less powerful players, but even then, they may not be able to compete with the other legions operating in this circle.
Previously, missions would come to them, and they never had to worry about whether there were missions available. Now, when they go looking for missions, they have to compete with other weaker legions for them.
If they were to be scattered and rejoined to other units, they would not be able to trust them enough to entrust their backs to them in a short period of time.
Su Ran listened to the man's words and slightly curled her lips. "If you can't stand it," "Take action to resolve it," "You don't have to hire him."
These few words conveyed that they were capable, virtuous, and put a bit of pressure on their employers.
Su Ran propped her face up with one hand and looked at the bearded man. He seemed to have a sharp mind; his last sentence sounded like he was trying to understand the other man's rights.
Fortunately, Su Ran was willing to make a move there; otherwise, she wouldn't have wanted to hire that corps.
After all, in the eyes of other employers, this legion was a hot potato; if they took it over, they would have to deal with the pressure from their enemies.
