Chapter 115 Almost Lovers
Over the years, Bo Siye has been taking care of Han Xi, so their relationship has naturally become better.
Bo Siye took out a gift box and handed it to her.
"This is a gift for you; it has already been delivered to the two children."
Han Xi smiled knowingly, "You're so thoughtful, you always prepare these for us."
"I'm enjoying myself, so please don't disturb my fun."
Bo Siye's humor made it easy for Han Xi to get along with him.
They are friends, but not quite lovers.
Han Xi never treated him as a backup plan, but rather as someone extremely precious.
If it weren't for Bo Siye's help, she probably wouldn't have been able to save her two children, and she still felt indebted to him.
Seeing this scene at the door from the rooftop, Madam Shen returned to the living room dejectedly. The old lady hurriedly asked, "Daughter-in-law, do you think there's any hope for Han Xi and that boy Ji Heng?"
Madam Shen did have this thought when she saw them together in the morning, but she couldn't explain it then or now.
She sighed, "I just saw a luxury car picking her up from the rooftop. It seems Han Xi really does have a boyfriend."
The old lady slumped against the sofa, muttering, "There's no hope. I'm afraid I'll never hold my great-grandson before I die."
Madam Shen did not tell the old lady about seeing the child; she only wanted to judge whether the child was related to her based on Han Xi's behavior.
After talking with her, I found that Han Xi had no experience in raising children and didn't seem like a mother at all. Maybe I was just overthinking it.
As soon as they got home, Han Yuxuan rushed over, while her introverted younger sister sat quietly in her chair.
"Mom, Uncle Bo bought me a lot of toys, and my room is almost full of them."
Han Xi sighed, realizing that she had just scolded Zhuo Qingqian for spending so much money, and there was something even more outrageous about it.
"You can take stock of them later. If there are any duplicates, we can donate them to orphanages and share them with more children in need, okay?"
Han Yuxuan nodded obediently: "Okay, I have some puzzle pieces left, I'll share them with them too."
Han Yumo picked up the doll in her hand and handed it to her, managing to utter a few words with difficulty: "Me too."
Han Xi noticed a significant change in her daughter after she returned to China, and happily picked her up.
“We, Yumo, also have a kind heart and want to give these things to those children, right?”
Han Yumo nodded, gradually becoming able to express her emotions.
Bo Siyue walked up to her and gently extended his hand: "Yu Mo, do you still remember Uncle Bo? Can I hug you?"
Han Yumo leaned closer to him. Although she didn't know how to express her thoughts, she could still sense who was good to her.
Bo Siye gently hugged her and said happily, "Uncle will take you to the amusement park tomorrow, and then we'll go see the aquarium, okay?"
Han Yuxuan jumped up excitedly and circled around him.
"Uncle Bo is so kind, I want to go, I want to see the great white shark."
Han Xi grabbed her son's little hand: "Don't shake your uncle until he gets dizzy."
Hearing bursts of laughter, Gu Beichen sighed as he looked at the harmonious scene. It seemed that Shen Jiheng had no chance; he couldn't squeeze into their relationship.
After the children fell asleep that night, Han Xi and Bo Siye sat in the courtyard chatting.
"Siye, will you be upset that I came back without saying goodbye?"
"How could I blame you? These are all your freedoms, I just didn't expect it to happen so quickly."
"The main reason is that the Han Shu Group's 10th anniversary celebration is about to take place, and I need to come back in advance to make arrangements. Also, there's Yu Mo's situation, which can't be delayed any longer. As you can see, she has changed a lot."
Bo Siye naturally noticed that Han Yumo, who had never expressed anything proactively before, was now starting to have her own thoughts.
"This is a good thing, but what about you and the Shen family?"
"It's just an invitation to come back for a meal, nothing else."
Bo Siye smiled and said, "That's good. I hope Yumo's condition will improve soon so that you and your son can return to live abroad."
They cannot be allowed to stay in the same city as Shen Jiheng; no one is allowed to undermine his efforts over the years.
He could clearly sense that Han Xi was gradually opening her heart to him, and that it would only take a little time for Han Xi to accept him.
Han Xi frowned. Now that she had taken over the group, she naturally couldn't go back so quickly.
Seeing her worried expression, Bo Siyue asked, "What's wrong? Are you planning to stay? What if people find out the child's identity? Can you bear the thought of them being taken away by the Shen family?"
Han Xi shook his head: "No one can take the child away. I'll leave once I've finished dealing with everything I have to do and once Yu Mo has recovered."
Bo Siye is right; we shouldn't take chances.
Hearing her words, Bo Siye felt relieved. He raised his hand to put it on Han Xi's shoulder, but hesitated several times before finally letting go.
Just as he was determined to try again, he was suddenly pushed to the ground from behind.
The sudden action startled Han Xi, and the two turned around at the same time, only to see Shen Jiheng standing behind them with a cold face.
Bo Siye clenched his fists and glared at him coldly.
"Shen Jiheng, what do you mean by this?"
Shen Jiheng crossed his arms without a trace of apology, instead mocking, "Just a reminder not to overestimate yourself."
Han Xi quickly went to help him up, cursing, "Shen Jiheng, are you crazy? Why did you push him? You're completely insane."
After helping Bo Siye up, Han Xi didn't forget to roll her eyes at Shen Jiheng twice.
No matter how much he dislikes someone, he shouldn't do something so ungentlemanly.
Bo Siye patted the dust off his clothes and comforted Han Xi: "Forget it, don't bother with this kind of person."
Shen Jiheng stepped forward unhappily, and Han Xi quickly stepped in between them.
"What are you doing here at the Gu family's place? Didn't I tell you to give me a heads-up in advance from now on? Don't show up uninvited."
Han Xi's words were full of disdain; how could this person still lack self-awareness?
Shen Jiheng frowned: "I've found Dr. Liu's residence. Qin Chuan is guarding it there. I'm here to take you to find out the truth."
Unexpectedly, he was so proactive. Han Xi glanced at the time and said, "It's already past ten o'clock. Let's deal with this tomorrow."
Shen Jiheng was furious. He investigated the matter relentlessly, and now that he had found the key figure, he didn't want to waste a single minute before coming to find Han Xi.
She was so calm, unlike before when she was in a hurry. Why did she suddenly calm down?
Or is spending time with Bo Siye more important than investigating the truth?
"Han Xi, I'm just asking you, do you want to come with me or not?"
He wouldn't be able to sleep tonight until he figured this out.
Seeing Shen Jiheng's reddened eyes, Han Xi nodded.
Bo Siye asked curiously, "What happened that made you so anxious?"
Han Xi said, "There are still some inside stories about my kidnapping back then. We now suspect that it is related to Bai Xue. We are now looking for the doctors who treated her back then and going to ask them in person to find out what happened back then."
Upon hearing this, Bo Siye silently placed his hand behind his back and secretly clenched it into a fist.
I thought they wouldn't investigate this matter anymore, but they actually caught Dr. Liu. This is going to be difficult.
