Chapter 143 Can You Shut Up?
Shen Jiheng had to put on a serious expression to make Han Xi realize that it was her fault.
But the more Han Xi thought about it, the more uneasy she felt, and she questioned, "Even if I threw up in your car and got your clothes dirty, did you really need to bring me back? And in this state."
Han Xi shook the blanket, reminding himself of his current situation.
Shen Jiheng said helplessly, "Your clothes and mine have become rags. Do you expect me to let you sleep in them for one night? Can you imagine what that would be like?"
Han Xi coughed lightly; she didn't want to imagine that scene.
But she wouldn't let go of this question: "Even so, after you helped me take off my clothes, why did you stay here? Did you do anything else?"
Seeing Han Xi's nervous expression, Shen Jiheng couldn't help but reveal a mischievous smile.
"Of course there are, and... we've done a lot!"
Han Xi grabbed a pillow and threw it at him, angrily saying, "You bastard, you violated me while I was unconscious."
Shen Jiheng caught the pillow and laughed, "I said, how can your thoughts be so vulgar, or do you really wish I had done something?"
Han Xi gritted his teeth in anger. What kind of nonsense was this guy spouting? Unfortunately, there was nothing left to smash him with, otherwise he would have loved to see his head explode.
She looked around but didn't see any clothes. She patted the bed and said, "I don't want to talk to you. Give me my clothes right now."
Shen Jiheng spread his hands: "There's nothing I can do. I had someone throw the clothes in the trash last night. Otherwise, I'll have them find them for you."
"Shen Jiheng, do you think I'm stupid? Even if I don't have any clothes, I can give you a bathrobe, or at the very least, I can give you your clothes."
Han Xi found that talking to him was both mentally taxing and exhausting, and that he would drive her crazy sooner or later.
Shen Jiheng shook his head and asked before Han Xi could scold him, "I can give it to you, but you have to answer one question for me."
Han Xi gripped the blanket tightly to suppress his anger; on his turf, he should cooperate for now.
"Hurry up and ask."
Shen Jiheng looked at her intently, his memory returning to his university days. Back then, he really hadn't paid any attention to Han Xi, but he had heard Bo Siye bragging about her all the time.
They're all other people's girlfriends, how could he possibly care?
But after hearing Han Xi's words last night, he felt that things were not so simple.
Unfortunately, after bringing her back, he couldn't get any information out of her. She was still making a fuss and vomited twice in bed, soiling her pajamas. In the end, he gave up resisting and simply stopped letting her wear them.
He was also exhausted and fell asleep as soon as he lay down until she woke him up in the morning.
Do you remember what you said last night?
Han Xi rubbed her head. She hadn't drunk so much alcohol in a long time, and the alcohol she drank in such a fast manner had left her with too much of a kick.
She shook her head: "I don't remember. What did I say?"
Shen Jiheng stepped forward, but was driven back by Han Xi's sharp gaze.
"Just say what you have to say, don't get so close to me."
“You said last night that you fell in love with me at first sight in college, that you loved me for four years, and that you married me because you love me, not to seek refuge.”
Han Xi stared wide-eyed in horror, unable to believe that she had spoken the words buried deep in her heart.
She vehemently denied it: "What nonsense are you talking about? How could that be? I didn't even know who you were in college."
Shen Jiheng had caught his panic just now, and he knew that this woman was stubborn and wouldn't easily tell the truth.
He deliberately said, "They say people speak the truth when they're drunk. You even said that you were with Bo Siye just to find out about me, that you were just his lackey."
Although Han Xi didn't say these things, Shen Jiheng deduced this conclusion.
Han Xi swallowed nervously. What was the point of talking about this now?
Seeing that she didn't answer, Shen Jiheng asked, "Is that really true?"
He had no idea that Han Xi had been secretly in love with him since college. The thought that if it were true, he felt like he had missed out on the whole world.
Han Xi denied it: "I was just drunk and talking nonsense. There's no such thing at all."
Shen Jiheng pressed on: "Even if you were drunk, you wouldn't say such things. Is it so hard for you to be honest with me? You don't even dare to admit the truth."
Han Xi sighed, wondering why he was worrying about all this now.
“Shen Jiheng, everyone has their own secrets, there’s no need to tell you everything.”
"If what you say is true, then it must be true."
"Think what you want, but give me the clothes right now. I have an important meeting today and can't be late."
She still refused to admit it. Judging from her angry expression, if Shen Jiheng pressed her for more information, Han Xi would probably really get angry.
He threw off the covers and got out of bed, causing Han Xi to hurriedly cover her head.
Shen Jiheng smiled and shook her head, then opened the wardrobe and took out her old clothes.
Although Han Xi left back then, Shen Jiheng kept all the clothes she left behind in the closet untouched.
Han Xi took her clothes to the bed to change, and Shen Jiheng couldn't help but tease her: "Actually, you don't need to hide so well. After all, I've already seen what you look like."
Han Xi peeked out from under the covers with a pair of sharp eyes: "Can you shut your mouth?"
Shen Jiheng was in a great mood and didn't feel angry at being scolded.
After changing her clothes, Han Xi got out of bed. Seeing that she was about to leave, Shen Jiheng quickly blocked her at the door.
"Hey, I brought you back and took care of you yesterday, and you just do this? Isn't that too heartless?"
"So what do you want?"
"At least say thank you."
Han Xi took a deep breath, nodded vigorously, grabbed his collar, and pulled him in front of her.
"Shen Jiheng, thank you, is that alright now?"
Shen Jiheng nodded in satisfaction: "That's more like it. Do you want me to drive you?"
Han Xi released his hand and said coldly, "No need."
Seeing Han Xi's childish antics, Shen Jiheng smiled indulgently. Their way of getting along seemed quite good.
Han Xi stormed downstairs, wondering who had handed her over to Shen Jiheng yesterday. Hadn't she specifically told them to take her home?
However, considering Shen Jiheng's cunning and shrewd nature, how could anyone else possibly argue with him?
"Madam, are you leaving already? I've prepared some hangover soup for you, have some before you go."
Han Xi was stopped by Aunt Wang as soon as she reached the door. She turned around and smiled politely, "Aunt Wang, I am no longer your wife. From now on, you can just call me by my name."
Aunt Wang had a knowing look on her face, but she didn't say anything. Judging from her young master's attitude towards Han Xi, she knew it was only a matter of time before the two reconciled.
Aunt Wang went over and helped her walk towards the dining room.
"Then I'll call you Miss Han. You vomited so badly last night, you must have a headache today. In the past, whenever the young master came back from drinking and socializing, I would make this hangover soup the next day. It's very effective."
Han Xi looked at her curiously: "You also know about what happened last night?"
Aunt Wang nodded: "Of course I know. Last night you came back drunk and threw up all over the young master. You were a mess too, so I had to help you change your clothes."
If that's the case, then Shen Jiheng wasn't lying to her.
