Chapter 169 Do You Still Love Me?

Chapter 169 Do You Still Love Me?

Han Xi was woken up when the doorbell rang. Hearing Shen Jiheng calling her, she put on her coat and ran downstairs. If he continued to call like that, she would wake up the whole family.

How could Shen Jiheng, who never loses control in my memory, suddenly go crazy tonight?

Thinking that he had seen Gu Hanxi that afternoon, perhaps he had been stimulated by something.

Shen Jiheng opened his mouth to shout, but was stopped by Han Xi who had rushed over.

"Shen Jiheng, shut up, I'm coming."

Shen Jiheng's wide-open mouth slowly closed, and a smile appeared on his dazed face.

Gu Beichen sighed, "He drank too much. I had the bodyguards take him home."

Shen Jiheng waved his hand unhappily, turned his head and glared at him, warning, "Mind your own business, I'm here to see Han Xi."

As he spoke, he walked towards Han Xi, grabbed her wrist, and pulled her into his arms.

Gu Beichen stepped forward to pull the person away, but Han Xi sensed that he was in low spirits and shook her head to stop him.

"Shen Jiheng, how are you? Can you walk by yourself? I'll take you home."

Shen Jiheng let go of her, looked at a bench in front of him, walked over and sat down, sighed and said, "I don't want to go back."

They said he was drunk, yet he could still answer their questions fluently.

To say he wasn't drunk is an overstatement; the normal Shen Jiheng would never do something like this.

Shen Jiheng didn't want to go back to that big villa where he lived all by himself.

No one could keep him company for more than a few words, and when he woke up in the middle of the night, he was left to suffer alone.

The woman he had longed for for four years was right here, and he could only come to find her when he was drunk.

Gu Beichen looked at Han Xi with a helpless expression. As for Shen Jiheng's future, it was up to her to decide.

Han Xi said helplessly, "Have someone prepare a car, I'll take him back."

It wouldn't be good to leave him behind, but she couldn't bear to abandon him either, so she had no choice but to deliver him herself.

Gu Beichen could tell that she still had feelings for Shen Jiheng; otherwise, she wouldn't care whether he lived or died.

"Okay, I'll go arrange it right away. Please wait a moment."

Han Xi nodded. After Gu Beichen left, she walked up to Shen Jiheng. Before she could speak, Shen Jiheng grabbed her hands, pulled her in front of him, and hugged her waist.

Han Xi reached out to push him away, but his hands seemed to be welded together; the harder she pushed, the tighter he hugged her, and it was Han Xi who ended up in pain.

"Han Xi, I really miss you. Please come back to me. I'm such a jerk. How could I lose you?"

If he hadn't been drunk, Shen Jiheng wouldn't have been able to say it.

It's a good thing to have this opportunity to speak my mind.

"Let go first, or someone will see us."

"No, I will never let go this time, even if it kills me. I will win you back, no matter how difficult it is, I will make sure you come back to me."

Han Xi felt heavy-hearted, having heard a lot about Shen Jiheng's situation over the years from Gu Beichen.

He said that the Shen family had introduced him to many outstanding young ladies, but he rejected them all. Even foreign royalty had taken a liking to him, but he didn't care.

For so many years, he has had no female companions, and he is even distant from Bai Xue. Everyone says that he is waiting for Han Xi to return.

Hearing no response, Shen Jiheng looked up, but unfortunately Han Xi's long eyelashes obscured her emotions, making it impossible to guess what she was feeling.

"Han Xi, do you still love me?"

Staring into his misty eyes, if Han Xi told him, would he remember it when he woke up tomorrow?

Tell me, do you still love me?

After hesitating for a moment, Han Xi said, "I stopped loving you four years ago, but..."

"Han Xi, the car is ready." Han Xi was interrupted by Gu Beichen before he could finish speaking. He didn't want to keep this drunk person causing trouble at home.

But Shen Jiheng had already lowered his head in disappointment, and Han Xi said that he no longer loved him.

So for the past four years, she hasn't thought about herself.

That's not fair at all.

He clearly thought this woman was about to go crazy, so why was she able to walk away so easily?

Han Xi sighed, it seemed that he would have to talk to him clearly in the future.

Gu Beichen helped her get the person into the car. Shen Jiheng didn't cling to her like before, but instead leaned obediently against the car window.

Han Xi saw that he was staring straight ahead with his eyes open, but it seemed that he didn't see anything in his eyes.

"Are you alright? If you feel unwell, I'll go to the pharmacy to buy some hangover medicine."

Shen Jiheng shook his head. What Han Xi said earlier was more effective than any hangover cure, and it had already sobered him up considerably.

Han Xi had thought he would make a fuss after getting in the car, but his quiet and silent demeanor made her feel uneasy.

The two returned to the Shen family without saying another word, and the mission of sending them away seemed to have gone too smoothly.

Han Xi opened the car door for him: "Be careful when you get out of the car, I'll head back first."

Shen Jiheng stared at her blankly for a moment, then grabbed her hand and pulled her down with him.

Han Xi tried to shake him off but failed. He frowned and said, "Shen Jiheng, what are you doing? I've already brought you back. Don't go crazy."

Shen Jiheng ignored her resistance and continued walking forward while holding onto her. When the driver saw this, he was about to get out to help when Shen Jiheng suddenly stopped and turned around, his sharp gaze forcing the driver to back down.

He gave the order: "You can go back now. I'll send her back tomorrow."

The driver nodded awkwardly, unable to resist what this big shot was saying.

Han Xi gritted her teeth, but Shen Jiheng, who was drunk, seemed to be stronger than usual, and she couldn't break free at all.

"Shen Jiheng, what exactly do you want? Let me go right now."

"I said I'd never let go, even if it meant death. I don't want to be alone. Stay with me."

"I am not capable enough to stay with you, please let me go back."

Seeing that Han Xi was resisting too fiercely, Shen Jiheng simply picked him up and carried him on his back.

Han Xi suddenly lost his balance and his head was filled with blood. He felt dizzy. Shen Jiheng must have been really drunk to do something so stupid.

He was already unsteady on his feet, and now with someone on his shoulders, Han Xi didn't dare to move an inch, afraid that he would fall off.

She carefully grabbed Shen Jiheng's clothes and said with difficulty, "Shen Jiheng, this is dangerous for you. Put me down first, I won't go any further."

Shen Jiheng didn't listen to her. His body, which had been swaying just moments before, was now walking steadily, leaving Han Xi confused about his situation.

When they returned to the room, Shen Jiheng carefully placed her on the bed, then lay down beside her, completely exhausted.

Han Xi then realized that he must have used all his willpower just now, otherwise the two of them would probably have rolled down the stairs.

Han Xi tried to get up and run away, but Shen Jiheng noticed in time, turned around and pushed her back down.

"Han Xi, you said you wouldn't leave, you can't lie to me."

"Okay, I can stay, but let me go and I'll sleep in the guest room."

Shen Jiheng slowly raised his hands, looking closely at the person in front of him.

His eyes were unfocused and his expression conveyed a sadness never seen before, making it easy to be affected when you looked into his eyes.

"Why did I lose you, Han Xi? I really love you. Even if you no longer love me, I can't let go."

"What you're saying now is just drunken talk. We can talk about it tomorrow."

Shen Jiheng shook his head: "It's the truth, I'll prove it to you."

Han Xi was still pondering how he would prove it when Shen Jiheng's lips descended, gentler and more restrained than ever before.
