As soon as Shen Jiheng finished speaking, the temperature inside the car dropped instantly.
Han Xi felt as if she were in an ice cellar, the extreme cold almost freezing her to pieces.
What he said was even more heartbreaking for Han Xi than the betrayals of the past.
He belittled all of Han Xi's efforts.
He would never know that Han Xi gave up her promising career and willingly became a housewife to be with him.
However, now she has finally seen through this man completely.
Shen Jiheng thought that these words would make Han Xi behave herself, but he didn't expect her to look at him with a firm gaze.
"If you're so capable, give me the shares and then never interfere in my affairs again. Let's see if I end up like you without you."
Shen Jiheng looked at her in surprise, "Do you really want to make things difficult for yourself?"

The driver, noticing the light rain outside and that they were driving on a section of road under repair, asked with concern, "Young Master, it's raining now, should we stop?"

Seeing his anger, the driver had no choice but to pull over. Shen Jiheng looked out the window.
"You want to rely on yourself, then go down and walk."
Han Xi gritted her teeth. She knew this section of the road well. Because of road construction, there were very few vehicles, definitely no taxis, and even the buses had temporarily changed their routes.
He deliberately chose this section of the road to make her get off, simply to dampen her spirits.
If she backs down now, how will she compete with Shen Jiheng in the future?
Han Xi raised her head and said, "I can go down, but you have to give me the shares tomorrow."
She actually dared to go along with that, and Shen Jiheng nodded hard: "Okay!" Since she insisted on suffering, Shen Jiheng would see how long she could endure it.
Han Xi took a deep breath, immediately opened the car door, got out without hesitation, and strode forward.
That stubborn back view made Shen Jiheng's face turn extremely ugly.
She was determined to fight him to the end.
The driver, seeing that she had walked away, whispered a reminder: "Young Master, it's raining outside, and it's nighttime. Won't Madam be in danger?"

He threw it right into the trash can; that jewelry necklace, worth millions, was discarded just like that.
Is Shen Jiheng even human?!
She had just been deluding herself into thinking that Shen Jiheng was being soft-hearted and wanted her to get in the car, but reality slapped her in the face once again.
The car had already restarted and had completely disappeared from her sight.
The unpredictable changes were driving Han Xi to the brink of collapse. If she continued to waste time with this man, she would go crazy.
Han Xi walked to the trash can and saw that the jewelry box had been broken, and the necklace inside had fallen out and was covered in mud because of the rain.
Nevertheless, even in dim light, the gemstone still shines, which is its unique charm.
"How can such a precious piece of jewelry like yours stay in such a stinking place?"
Han Xi reached out and picked up the necklace. She carefully examined it; the workmanship was good and it hadn't been broken. It was something that had been thrown into the trash can, so if she picked it up, it was hers, and it had nothing to do with Shen Jiheng.
She wasn't foolish enough to turn down money. Seeing that the rain was getting heavier, she first found a place to take shelter from the rain, and then called a ride-hailing service to pick her up.
Shen Jiheng felt increasingly uneasy, glancing at his phone every now and then to see if that stubborn woman would call.
If Han Xi is willing to humble herself now, he will go back to pick her up immediately.
However, ten minutes later, the rain intensified. She didn't have an umbrella, so why wouldn't she ask for help?

Lu Chen called again. I thought that since he said it was so serious, Shen Jiheng would definitely come over immediately, but an hour has passed and he still hasn't shown up.
He only called Shen Jiheng again after Gu Hanxi urged him.
Seeing this number reminded Shen Jiheng what his most important task was right now.
"Back to the hospital!"
The driver glanced at him through the rearview mirror, then turned around again without asking any questions. His mood had been fluctuating throughout the night.

"If I could find such jewelry, I wouldn't care at all."
Han Xi sighed and told her the truth, which made Zhuo Qingqian give him two thumbs up.
“Xi Xi, you did a good job. There’s nothing shameful about picking up this kind of thing. It’s Shen Jiheng who is wasting resources. He will definitely be punished.”
"Could you ask around online if anyone wants to buy it, and sell it as soon as possible?"
"Okay, then everyone who sees it gets a share, so you'll have to treat me to two meals."

Han Xi was grateful that in this cold city, there was still a place that made her feel warm; Zhuo Qingqian was the light in her heart.
