"This is the real reason Jefferson was seriously injured. You arranged for him to go there. Was this person your bodyguard?"

Shen Jiheng really wished he could just carry her away.
Han Xi said earnestly, "I know that Grandpa Bo has Alzheimer's and refuses to eat or take his medicine. Only I can get close to him. I promised Bo Siye that I would help him."
Shen Jiheng rubbed his forehead, wondering what had happened to make Han Xi like this, but he knew it was definitely not simple.
"I don't care if you agreed to him or what, you have to come back with me."
"Ji Heng, please don't do this. Please respect my decision. I promise you, I will protect myself."
As Han Xi spoke, he gave him a meaningful look. Although Shen Jiheng could tell that something was amiss and that Han Xi was definitely trying to help him, he really didn't want his beloved to be in danger.

Shen Jiheng firmly stated, "I don't care, you must come back with me."
As he spoke, he reached out to pull Han Xi away, but she dodged him.

Han Xi cast a pleading look at Shen Jiheng. She wanted to help him, and she didn't want to give up even if there was only a sliver of hope.

He feared that Bo Siye would use these things to threaten Han Xi, and that she would have no choice but to compromise in order to help him.
"I'm sorry, I can't agree to that. You should understand what I mean."
Even if he were to be framed and imprisoned, he would not allow Han Xi to be in danger.
A round of applause came from the stairs. Bo Siye listened to the two of them considering each other's feelings and couldn't help but sigh.
"Shen Jiheng, I really envy you, having a woman who loves you wholeheartedly."
Then he looked at Han Xi with a bitter smile on his face and said earnestly, "If one day you are willing to treat me like this, I will die without regrets."
Shen Jiheng wants him dead right now. He doesn't know what tricks that bastard used to lure Han Xi here.
"Bo Siyue, what tricks are you trying to pull?"
"Don't misunderstand. You can ask Han Xi if I have disrespected her in any way. Just as she said, she stayed only to help me take care of the elderly."
