Chapter 139 The Emperor, Well-Dressed and Hypocritical
The people outside the door were stopped, seemingly arguing about something.
The atmosphere inside was as fiery as flames. On the Jade Mountain, green branches stretched out, stealing jade and fragrance, almost there.
The commotion at the entrance grew louder, and an angry woman's voice rang out: "Li Yuzong, don't stop me."
"Your Majesty, I have urgent business to discuss with you!"
The words "your humble servant" entered Ji Qingwu's ears, startling her awake.
If someone were to see her in such a disheveled state, Ji Qingwu would be terrified.
She pushed him away forcefully, but her voice was weak: "Your Majesty, someone is here, someone is coming."
Her force was like tickling Emperor Wusu; instead of letting go, he bit her hard again.
Ji Qingwu trembled, and a sound was about to escape her lips, but she could only cover her mouth tightly.
The shouts from outside the door grew more urgent with each passing moment: "Your Majesty! I beg you to see me! I have urgent business to discuss!"
Ji Qingwu recognized the person at the door as Consort Wei.
When a person is nervous, their body becomes more sensitive. Under his teasing, her waist couldn't help but tense up, and she couldn't lift her hands.
She spoke haltingly, "Your Majesty, yes, yes, Consort Wei."
He finally spared the time to reply to her: "Let her do what she wants."
He was like a starving and freezing traveler, drawing warmth from her. Ji Qingwu had never thought that Emperor Wusu would be such an absurd ruler; at this moment, she found him incredibly difficult to deal with, as if he had become a completely different person.
Suddenly, the sound of the door being pushed open was heard, and Ji Qingwu's body trembled.
She pushed him with all her might, finally managing to push away the emperor who had no suspicion of her.
Emperor Wusu's thin lips turned a deep red, and the handsome young man's eyes and brows were filled with intense desire.
Ji Qingwu had no time to look at his expression; she was too busy taking care of herself to even have time to adjust her clothes or button them up.
She looked around but couldn't find a suitable hiding place, and she was extremely anxious.
......
When Wei Liru pushed open the door and rushed in, she couldn't immediately see where the emperor was because of the dim light.
But she seemed to hear a soft cry, though the sound was faint and indistinct, and she couldn't be sure.
She walked to the display shelf and finally saw a corner of Emperor Wusu's bright yellow robe. He was the only one there. She wanted to walk around the shelf, but the man stopped her with a cold voice.
"Consort Wei, what a grand entrance you have, barging in uninvited."
Emperor Wusu did not look at her; his gaze was fixed on the table in front of him.
But this voice was different from the usual coldness; it was hoarse and deep, containing a different kind of emotion.
With red eyes, Wei Liru dared not move forward any further, so she stood still, knelt down, and said, "Your Majesty, your concubine greets Your Majesty."
Seeing that Emperor Wusu remained silent, sitting at his desk with a dark expression and his chest heaving, Wei Liru assumed that the emperor was angered by her unauthorized intrusion.
She bowed her head and admitted her mistake, saying, "Your Majesty, I was only acting rashly and had no intention of offending you. Please forgive me."
Consort Wei was not someone who didn't know her place. Apart from her previous inappropriate behavior at the entrance of Hongsheng Pavilion, this was the first time she had ever trespassed into the emperor's resting place.
Emperor Wusu remained silent.
His gaze shifted to the large desk, where he met the eyes of a woman curled up under it like a young animal.
As Consort Wei drew closer, Ji Qingwu had nowhere to hide but under the table. There were storage cabinets under the desk, leaving her with very little space.
Before her stood the emperor's brand-new dragon robe and a pair of strong, powerful legs, her face positioned directly between his groin.
Seeing Ji Qingwu blinking her clear, bright eyes, staring intently at his crotch, Emperor Wusu reached out his black court boot and touched her calf.
Ji Qingwu immediately widened her eyes and looked up at him, like a frightened little animal.
The emperor remained silent, and Wei Liru said, "Your Majesty, I was truly worried about you, which is why I acted so rashly."
When Ji Qingwu heard Consort Wei mention Wei Ting, he paused, wondering what had happened to him that made Consort Wei so worried.
Emperor Wusu frowned.
Seeing his expression, Wei Liru felt uneasy. Since she had already barged in, she still had to tell him what she wanted to ask.
She said, "I just heard the news and I am very anxious. The reason why General Yuchi was sent to the Northern Army in such a hurry is because my brother was ambushed by Xijin's assassins and was seriously injured."
Wei Liru looked up at Emperor Wusu and asked, "Your Majesty, is this true?"
Ji Qingwu, who was under the table, stared at him nervously, also wanting to know Wei Ting's condition.
Emperor Wusu said indifferently, "This is military intelligence."
Wei Liru choked up and said, "Please tell me, how is my brother doing? I am so worried."
Emperor Wusu lowered his eyes and met Ji Qingwu's gaze.
Seeing her concern for Wei Ting's condition, she peeked halfway out, her cheek accidentally brushing against his crotch.
Her hair was as black as clouds, her face was fair and delicate, and her clothes were already pulled up.
But from his perspective, he can still see everything clearly.
Emperor Wusu's throat bobbed, and he suddenly made a move. He grabbed Ji Qingwu's arm with the hand that was on his knee and pulled her hand up.
Ji Qingwu dared not struggle, fearing that Wei Fei, who was just a few steps away, would discover her.
Her hand landed directly under his robe, where a dragon embroidered in gold thread was staring at her intently, not feigning sleep.
She never expected him to do this, and glared at him, both ashamed and angry.
Her mind was completely a jumbled mess.
All those names like Wei Ting, Li Ting, and Zhang Ting were banished from my mind.
When Ji Qingwu came to his senses and tried to let go, he heard the emperor speak sternly again: "Such confidential military information is not something you can inquire about."
A look of sadness and disappointment crossed Wei Liru's face as she pleaded sorrowfully, "Your Majesty..."
Emperor Wusu paused for a moment, then said, "But I pity your deep worry, allow me to think about it."
As he said this, he patted Ji Qingwu's cheek.
Ji Qingwu knew exactly what he was thinking, and she gripped his hand tightly, her hands trembling.
Emperor Wusu suddenly let out a gasp.
Dejected, Wei Liru immediately looked up at him hesitantly and asked, "Your Majesty, have you made up your mind?"
Emperor Wusu continued to look down at Ji Qingwu.
She bit her lip, her face flushed, and sweat beaded on her nose as she began to work.
After a long pause, Emperor Wusu finally uttered four words with a somber expression.
"Wei Ting, it's nothing."
Wei Liru had long sensed that the emperor was in a bad mood. She stayed there under pressure, and as soon as she got a reassuring result, she quickly withdrew.
"Thank you, Your Majesty. I shall take my leave now."
After Consort Wei left, Ji Qingwu tried to crawl out from under the table, but he roughly pulled her out.
With a spin, he lifted her by the waist and pressed her against the blood sandalwood desk.
She couldn't even see what the ceiling of the room looked like.
A scalding, passionate kiss descended upon him.
