Chapter 2 The King of Lateness

"Don't be afraid."

A male voice sounded in my ears, clear as jade, with a hint of hoarseness.

Then, the hand that was blocking Jiang Lili's sight moved away, and a stunning face came into her sight.

The man's name emerged in Jiang Lili's mind, Xin Che, the prince of Zhaoping Marquisate, the epitome of beauty, strength and tragedy, who was stabbed in the back by the current emperor, Emperor Qingning.

Xin Che's lips were pale, his hair was scattered in front of his forehead, and his handsome features were covered with a layer of illness, but his back was still straight.

He was holding a thick branch in his hand, with blood dripping from the sharp end. The wolf had its throat pierced and fell to the ground, which showed how powerful he was.

Jiang Lili learned from her memory that Xin Che had given all the food to Marquis Zhaoping and his wife and the younger generations in the family. He had not eaten for three days and three nights, and had only relied on willpower to hold on until now.

"Why did you leave camp tonight?"

The atmosphere tonight was weird. All the yamen runners guarding the prisoners fell asleep and were particularly careless.

Xin Che spoke, his beautiful phoenix eyes scrutinizing.

Xin Che's powerful murderous aura made Jiang Lili dare not look directly at him, but before she could think of an excuse, she saw Xin Che's figure sway, and she hurried forward to support him.

It seems that the previous attack has exhausted all of Xin Che's strength.

Jiang Lili used her small body to hold Xin Che up. "It's a long story. I was drugged with wolf-luring powder! We all fell for it!"

Xin Che's eyes grew darker when he heard Jiang Lili's words. "As long as I'm alive, they can't rest in peace for even a moment."

Xin Che distanced himself from Jiang Lili and just supported her.

"No need." His voice was cold.

Jiang Lili shrugged, it seemed that she was particularly disgusted with her own troublesome prince's consort.

The original owner was spoiled in the Shangshu Mansion, and she could be said to be acting like a spoiled child during her exile, but Marquis Zhaoping and his wife felt guilty about her and tried their best to protect her.

As for Xin Che, the original owner had only known him for less than half a month. The two were not familiar with each other and were even a little distant.

Jiang Lili didn't care much. She just hoped that Zhang Xiaopang would feed her and give her some supplies.

However, danger comes before support.
