Chapter 18
Xingnuo raised his little head and looked around, but didn't see his father in the office.
He clenched the straps of his schoolbag tightly with his hands, a hint of uneasiness revealed in his watery, clear eyes, and shook his little head vigorously.
"No, my brother has white hair."
Shen Baizhou is the white-haired, seafood-smelling brother, not the stranger in front of him.
The strange man was originally reading a magazine or something. After Xingnuo came in, he raised his eyes and put it aside.
He stood up, he was tall, his black suit highlighted his irresistible aura, his brows and eyes were sharp.
Chen Yan knew that his pretended posture was very intimidating, so he suppressed most of his stern expression and forced a relatively gentle smile.
"Xingnuo."
His eyebrows were lowered, his lead-gray eyes were calm, and he walked up to the three-headed cub, which was smaller than himself, and squatted down until his eyes were level with the cub.
"My name is Chen Yan, and I'm your other brother."
Chen Yan looked fierce and imposing, but when facing Xing Nuo, he was like a ferocious beast wrapped in soft silk. He dared not reveal even a little bit of strength for fear of scaring the child in front of him.
Xingnuo still shook his head, the curly hair on his head was almost shaken out of the shadow, and he pursed his lips for a long time before he responded vaguely:
"I don't know him, kid."
The teacher knew the situation and quickly came over to explain to Xingnuo:
"Xingnuo, your father just left for something, so he called your brother to pick you up."
This is probably the only bad thing about the dungeon monsters. There are too many sudden emergencies, and Chen Wen sometimes has to leave temporarily for a while.
Shen Baizhou is still in school, and the only person who is free in the human world is Shen Yan, the boss of the company.
After Shen Yan came over, Shen Wen briefly introduced himself to the teacher and left in a hurry.
God knows the teacher's expression when he heard that Chen Wen had a son as old as Chen Yan. He was so surprised that he could stuff an egg in his mouth!
It was really that Chen Wen looked too young, only about twenty-seven or twenty-eight years old at most, but who would have thought that his eldest son was already this old!
Chen Yan was not a talkative person who liked to explain things. After arriving, he sat silently in a corner of the sofa, listening to other parents chatting noisily about parenting in the office for the entire morning.
Seeing that Xingnuo didn't remember him at all, Shen Yan gently poked the little guy's forehead and reminded him:
"A gift from two days ago."
Xingnuo was poked unexpectedly and was a little unsteady. He took a step back with his short legs, then remembered something and couldn't help but open his mouth.
"Little wooden sword!"
As soon as Xingnuo thought of the small wooden sword, he remembered everything.
Dad said that there was a little wooden sword given to me by an older brother I had never met.
Xingnuo blinked her clear eyes like black grapes, pursed her lips, tilted her head and looked at her brother who had never shown his face, her eyes full of curiosity.
Chen Yan didn't mind Zi Zi's blunt gaze at all, and instead took a step back to let him take a closer look.
Xingnuo stared at the brother for a long time, pursed his lips and thought for a while, and finally took a small step forward and extended his little hand.
"Brother, go home."
Chen Yan was slightly stunned, then his sharp and narrow eyes bent, revealing a soft light.
"Yeah." Chen Yan held the little guy's hand tightly, which was as soft as a ball of cotton, and he didn't dare to use much force.
Chen Yan took Xingnuo out of the kindergarten gate, remembering his father's instructions, and packed a portion of shrimp egg custard for Xingnuo when passing by a restaurant.
Xingnuo was standing beside him obediently, carrying a small sunflower backpack.
The cub seemed to be not even as tall as the legs of the table next to him. He looked up at his new brother packing lunch for him.
Seeing how well behaved he was, Shen Yan couldn't help but reach out and rub Xing Nuo's curly hair, and asked:
"Xingnuo, is there anything else you want to eat?"
Xingnuo's lunch usually consists of a bowl of egg custard or other soup, a small bowl of stir-fried vegetables and half a steamed bun with milk flavor. He doesn't like meat very much because it is greasy and he can't eat it even after holding it in his hand for a long time.
But he was not very familiar with his new brother, so he stood with his feet together awkwardly, shook his head and dared not speak.
Instead, the shop owner packed up some of Xingnuo's favorite dishes and handed them to Shen Yan who was standing beside him with a smile:
"Xingnuo often eats my steamed buns and dumplings, as well as a small bowl of stir-fried seasonal vegetables. I packed them up directly."
Shen Yan nodded and lowered his eyes to glance at the little guy.
"You can tell your brother directly what you want to eat."
Shen Yan's voice is low and pleasant, especially when it is deliberately soft, like an elegant and rich cello, very recognizable.
Xingnuo nodded his head but didn't look up at him. His little hair stuck up on his forehead and he pursed his lips without saying a word.
Chen Yan knew that Xingnuo couldn't possibly get familiar with him so quickly, so he wasn't in a hurry. He held Xingnuo's little hand and walked slowly home at his pace.
I wasted some time in kindergarten and it was already a little late when I got home.
Shen Baizhou took the elevator down to look for his brother, and from a distance he saw Shen Yan, who was wearing a black suit and holding Xingnuo’s hand, and his leisurely and lazy look suddenly disappeared.
He strode forward, holding the little brother Tuanzi in his arms, frowned, took a step back, and raised his eyes to stare at Shen Yan with vigilance and indifference.
"Why did you send Xingnuo back?"
Shen Yan crossed his arms, glanced from top to bottom at Shen Baizhou, who was wearing a blue and white school uniform, and sneered with an indifferent look.
"My father has something urgent to attend to, so I'm here to pick up my brother. Do I need to report this to you?"
Shen Baizhou immediately got furious and cried out.
"You T..."
Thinking of the fact that he was still holding his brother in his arms, Shen Baizhou hurriedly held back the dirty words that he wanted to utter, lowered his single eyelids, and looked at Shen Yan with unkind eyes.
"Don't try to do anything bad, Xingnuo is my brother!"
Chen Yan snorted condescendingly, his momentum not dropping at all, his thin lips slightly parted, and his insults were particularly sharp:
"Study hard, high school students, and don't get a 7 on the chemistry test next time."
Shen Yan didn't take a mentally retarded monster like Shen Baizhou seriously at all. He was just full of brute force and had no brains at all.
Shen Baizhou was so angry that his pupils became vertical, and he wanted to go forward and tear up the torn black plastic bag directly!
"At least I'm better looking than you!"
Shen Baizhou turned around angrily, hugged Xingnuo tightly, and strode away from this garbage monster whose body looked like a small black plastic bag.
After returning home, Shen Baizhou walked around the living room for a few times, getting angrier the more he thought about it.
Finally, he simply squatted down, gently pulled Xingnuo's face, and taught him a serious lesson:
"The guy named Chen Yan just now is not a good monster...human! Xing Nuo must stay away from him in the future!"
Xingnuo's little face turned red and she groaned several times.
He shook his little head, broke free from Shen Baizhou's hand, and ran to the side to pick up his little wooden sword.
"Okay, brother. I'll give you a small wooden sword."
As a child, Xingnuo is extremely sensitive to emotions and can tell who is good to him and who is bad to him almost at first sight.
Although Chen Yan was full of aura, Xing Nuo could feel the gentleness and kindness of his brother Chen Yan towards him.
Just like a sword that was unsheathed and wrapped in a transparent scabbard, Xingnuo did not retain any of his original sharpness when dealing with it.
Shen Baizhou listened to his brother's words, snorted, and was so angry that he wanted to use his main body tentacles to hit Shen Yan in the face.
"That won't work!"
Shen Yan is not a good person!
"He is trying to bribe you, do you know that?!" Shen Baizhou said bad things about Shen Yan in Xingnuo's ear for a long time.
Xingnuo's little ears were callused from listening so much that even his dreams at noon were filled with a bunch of noisy sounds.
There was no need to go to the kindergarten’s trial class in the afternoon, so Xingnuo slept until the sky was filled with clouds. Light purple, pink, yellow, orange and red rays of light shone through, filling the bedroom with brilliant colors.
Dad hasn't come home yet and my brother has gone to class.
Xingnuo paced around the living room for several times, holding his little wooden sword, looking listless and leaning against the window, staring at the entrance of the community.
After looking for a long time without seeing any trace of his brother or father, Xingnuo sighed softly and prepared to put away the small wooden sword.
Xingnuo walked into the living room and found a toy box with a town model he had never seen before on the coffee table.
Having received a gift a few days ago, Xingnuo scratched his chin and didn't seem too surprised.
Is this another gift toy that the brother gave to the kid?
Xingnuo tilted his head and looked at it for a long time, then stretched out his little hand to touch the surface of the toy box. As soon as he touched it, the box opened automatically.
After being opened, the toys almost covered the entire coffee table.
It is a fairy-tale-like toy town with bright and childish colors, various shops and residential buildings, coffee shops, post offices, convenience stores, street lights, clean streets...
In every building, there is one or more little men in uniform working.
The models of the little people are extremely lifelike, so vivid and lively that they seem not to be models, and are scattered all over the toy town.
For some reason, the next second after seeing the town, Xingnuo heard all kinds of noisy shouts.
There was a lot of chattering and noise. Even though the living room was so quiet, it seemed as if I could hear the bustling sounds of the street.
The people in the toy town seemed more lively, and the corners of their mouths were pulled up to reveal a big smile.
Xingnuo covered his little head with his hands, the noise made the eardrum in his little ear vibrate slightly and cause pain.
He took a step back holding the small wooden sword, raised his head and looked around, trying to find out what was making the sound.
When he took his eyes off the toy, the noise stopped and everything became quiet again.
But Xingnuo accidentally swept across the toy town, and the noisy sound rang out again.
“The delicious and sweet ice cream is free!”
"Does anyone know where the bank is? Can a kind child tell me?"
"Buns! Freshly baked buns!"
"Children, come and play with us. There is a new amusement park in town!"
The chattering voices could not wait to come in, each one tempting and seducing Xingnuo to answer them quickly.
Xingnuo's head was aching from the noise, and he wanted to tell these little people to stop talking, but he had an inexplicable strong intuition in his heart -
He must not speak!
