Chapter 57

Chapter 57

The bright sunshine at noon shines on the pink and tender blue streets, filling the air with brilliant colors.

Xingnuo lay in Wen Xingxue's pocket with his little hands hanging out. He lowered his ugly head and counted a few blue floor tiles on the ground.

"Nine, ten, one, two..."

After counting to the tenth block, he had to start counting again from the beginning. After half a day, he still couldn't count to two digits.

Wen Xingxue listened to the little thing mumbling and counting, and said:

"After ten comes eleven."

Xingnuo nodded and continued obediently:

"Seven... ten, eleven, one, two, ..."

Wen Xingxue closed her eyes and no longer held any hope for this clown doll.

Not only is he ugly, he's also illiterate.

Sighing, Wen Xingxue continued walking towards the outskirts of the city.

Xingnuo couldn't understand what this big brother was doing, so he stayed obediently in his pocket, watching him walk from south to north, then turn back and walk from east to west.

As we walked, the sun was gradually setting, and countless orange, red, pink and purple rays of light spread across the sky.

Xingnuo couldn't help but yawn and tilted his head to ask:

"Big brother, aren't you tired of walking?"

Wen Xingxue, who was drawing a map of the toy town in his mind, looked solemn and shook his head.

“Not tired.”

Seeing that it was getting late, Wen Xingxue knew that the copy was usually full of various dangers at night, so he returned to the cabin with the clown doll.

A group of players gathered at the door of the cute red mushroom-shaped hut.

They seemed to be waiting for Wen Xingxue to come back. As soon as they saw Wen Xingxue, they immediately took two quick steps to greet her.

"Boss, you're back?"

Wen Xingxue looked at these players, raised her eyes, and hummed indifferently.

Wen Xingxue opened the door of her own hut and was about to walk in when she was stopped by several anxious players:

"Boss, you took a walk around the town today. Did you find that the prices here are particularly high?"

Wen Xingxue paused and didn't really want to answer.

Xing Nuo, who was lying in his pocket, thought Wen Xingxue didn't hear clearly, so he poked him with his little round hand and quietly reminded him:

"Brother, they are asking you about the high prices!"

Wen Xingxue lowered her eyes and glanced at the little thing, hummed, put her hand in her other pocket, and replied:

"That's it."

Anyway, he has a lot of points.

The other players looked at Wen Xingxue's indifferent attitude and one of them got angry.

"Why did you come to him? We came to him with good intentions to discuss countermeasures, but he didn't appreciate it at all!"

Another player grabbed the angry person and sighed twice.

"It's okay. It's normal for a boss to have a bit of temper."

Wen Xingxue looked at them directing and acting out their own performance and raised her eyes in boredom.

"Are you okay?"

Wen Xingxue walked into the hut, lowering her eyes to hide the coldness and cruelty in them.

"Don't bother me if it's okay."

Wen Xingxue raised his hand and closed the door, isolating all the players outside.

The noises of the players' quarrels continued to come in through the door.

"Didn't I tell you to calm down? What good would it do you to offend Wen Xingxue?!"

"It's no good, I just can't stand the way he looks!"

"You can't stand the fact that he's number one on the list! And how many points do you have? Building a good relationship will definitely benefit us!"

"I'm really impressed. If we work together with you guys, we can offend all the big guys. Forget it, I'm going home to be with my baby Xiaoguo."

The player's voice was deliberately lowered, but unfortunately, it was unable to block the voice of Wen Xingxue, who had excellent hearing.

Wen Xingxue took the knife away nonchalantly and couldn't help but sneer twice.

A bunch of brainless idiots.

His emotions are so easily fluctuating and excited, yet he still dares to come to a B-level dungeon.

There will always be some players who think they are superior and have high aspirations, and look down on the players on the leaderboard.

But it’s okay, the copy will teach them a lesson soon.

Xingnuo jumped out of the pocket and jumped onto the table.

He saw Wen Xingxu quickly produce a loaf of bread from his watch, uttered a soft "wow", and walked over to the bread and looked inside.

Poking with her small round hand, Xingnuo then stood on tiptoe to touch Wen Xingxue's watch.

"Is this bread packed in a watch? Big brother, can you do magic?"

Facing the surprised look in the clown doll's eyes, Wen Xingxue sat on the sofa and shook her head.

"No, it's just a space-type prop."

Wen Xingxue tore open the bread bag, took two bites, and half of the bread was gone in an instant.

This is the first meal Wen Xingxue has eaten since last night.

Still a dry bread.

But he has always been like this. He has no time when he is in a dungeon and often only eats once every two or three days. Sometimes when he is really hungry, he will eat two chocolates to replenish his energy.

The only reason he is still alive today is because of Wen Xingxue’s abnormal supernatural powers.

After finishing a piece of bread in a few bites, Wen Xingxue took out another one and continued to eat it.

Wen Xingxue inadvertently lowered his eyes and saw Xingnuo sitting at the table, looking up at him eagerly with his little head, and paused.

"You want to eat?"

Xingnuo shook his little head and sighed sadly.

"I can't afford anything."

He is now just a clown doll who doesn't need to eat or drink and can't feel temperature or pain.

Xingnuo said, poking his belly involuntarily.

"The cub is not hungry either."

But when will he change back?

Wen Xingxue noticed the clown doll's disappointment, finished the bread in two bites, and comforted it in a slightly clumsy way:

"It's okay if you can't eat it. It's not that delicious."

There is no filling in the bread and it has a very hard texture. The only advantage is that it gives you a strong sense of fullness and can quickly satisfy your hunger.

Xingnuo saw it and nodded his head:

"The bread is not in the shape of little clouds. It doesn't look good."

I had eaten the small breads at Xingnuo before. They were baked golden and crispy, stuffed with cheese, and made into the shapes of small clouds and animals that were very popular with children.

Thinking of this, Xingnuo looked up and suggested obediently:

"Big brother, buy some little cloud bread next time. They're really good! They're sweet!"

Wen Xingxue looked at the little guy and talked about how sweet and delicious the bread was. When the light illuminated his ugly little face, he seemed to become a lot cuter all of a sudden.

Wen Xingxue smiled and walked to the window, looking at the moon rising slowly. For the first time, he felt that the noisy sound beside his ears was quite nice.

***

All is quiet.

The moon in the sky of the small town was a rich golden color, and every street was covered with bright moonlight.

With baguette-shaped street lamps, the town is bright even at night.

As the early morning approaches, all the street lights in the town will be turned off to save energy and electricity.

On the bed, Wen Xingxue opened her eyes and quickly turned over in bed.

He quickly put on his black coat, touched the knife at his waist, and walked to the door in a flash.

There was another shallow breathing sound in the silent space. Wen Xingxue paused after opening the door, turned around, and put the clown doll, who was sleeping soundly, into his pocket.

Pushing open the door, Wen Xingxue quickly stepped into the night.

The processing plant in the town operates 24 hours a day, and on shift tonight are a few big white geese and yellow ducks.

The big white goose's hands were constantly moving, making small rag dolls in front of the conveyor belt of the machine, laughing and chatting.

"That stupid guy Oli was hacked to pieces by a human this morning! Now he's been sent back to the processing plant!"

"Oh my god, he's so stupid! What's there to be afraid of with these human things?"

The other big white goose raised the doll in his hand and said with a strange red light in his eyes:

"What's the point of human intelligence? Won't we still put them into rag dolls in the end?"

The other big white geese sighed, looking at the snow-white cotton in front of them, and couldn't help but feel melancholy about the future of their town.

"But why is it that our town is so beautiful and has so many cute dolls, but there are fewer and fewer tourists recently?"

"It must be those humans' fault! They leaked the secret that the town turned them into rag dolls, and that's why the monsters in other copies don't dare to come here for tourism!"

"That's right. Yesterday, another group of humans came. We should have the city lord take action and turn them all into dolls!"

"If we shut their mouths, other monsters won't know about this and will definitely come to visit us!"

The big white goose and the yellow duck were quarreling and looking indignant, as if they were about to kill these humans in the next second.

In a corner of the processing plant, Wen Xingxue was wearing a mask and hiding in the corner behind a pillar, eavesdropping on the workers in the processing plant talking.

When a few big white geese were clocking out of get off work, Wen Xingxue took advantage of their inattention, quickly slipped past them, and wandered into another room in the factory.

The factory has only one floor. During the day, Wen Xingxue carefully walked around the perimeter twice and found out that there was a factory director's office in the southeast corner.

He took a prop flashlight and successfully found the layout of the processing plant in the director's office.

Wen Xingxue was watching intently when a voice came from his pocket.

"Hey! Big brother, are you there?" Xingnuo woke up and found it was dark in front of him. He couldn't help but ask.

Xingnuo hurriedly got out of the pocket with his increasingly messy little head. He looked up and saw Wen Xingxue's face illuminated by the flashlight, and he was immediately relieved.

Looking around with his little face raised, Xingnuo scratched his chin. Seeing that this place was so unfamiliar, he couldn't help but ask:

"Big brother, what are we doing?"

Wen Xingxue hushed him, continued to stare at the map of the processing plant, and whispered:

"We're stealing."

Xingnuo's eyes widened when he heard this.

"Steal, steal? The teacher said that stealing is bad."

Hearing the little guy's serious surprise, Wen Xingxue memorized the layout and turned off the flashlight.

"It's okay. If we steal it, it's ours. It doesn't count as stealing."

Wen Xingxue then instructed:

"Hide in your pocket. I'm going to run."
