Chapter 173: Sasaeng Fans

Chu Zhaozhao felt that she had been entrusted with a task, but she didn't want to leave Xu Yu alone in the kitchen. Chu Zhaozhao was so conflicted at the moment that she was almost like a dough stick.

"Be good, your job is to not make trouble."

As Xu Yu said this, he pushed Chu Zhaozhao out of the kitchen, closed the kitchen door, and even locked it.

Chu Zhaozhao knocked on the door and realized that Xu Yu had ordered her to leave. She sat down on the sofa indignantly while watching TV, and then messed up the half-finished puzzle on Xu Yu's desk.

Xu Yu cooked four dishes, two of which were ordered by Chu Zhaozhao, and the other two were Xu Yu’s specialties.

It didn’t take long to prepare these four dishes. Before Chu Zhaozhao had even finished watching an episode of the TV series, she heard Xu Yu calling her to eat.

"Zhao Zhao, it's time to eat!"

Seeing that Chu Zhaozhao had not arrived yet, Xu Yu shouted again.

"Coming soon..."

Chu Zhaozhao walked towards the dining table while looking back at the TV series. The villain was about to die, and her heart was beating very fast at the moment.

"Zhao Zhao..."

Xu Yu felt like he was taking care of a child, and shouted again in a low voice helplessly.

"Come on, come on. I'm telling you, this is a pretty good film. Guess who the murderer is? Guess who's the final boss?"

Chu Zhaozhao picked up the chopsticks and asked Xu Yu excitedly.

Xu Yu picked up some stir-fried pork with chili peppers with chopsticks and fed it directly into Chu Zhaozhao's mouth, meaning that Chu Zhaozhao should eat more and talk less.

"You should know this screenwriter. You've met him before."

Xu Yu glanced at the TV and said slowly.

Chu Zhaozhao became excited and asked who Xu Yu was.

"Zheng Yuanjie's screenwriter, didn't you just meet him? How come you forgot his name?"

"I can't believe he can write this kind of script. I thought he only wrote literary works."

Chu Zhaozhao still didn't want to believe it, so she went to watch someone's work. When she found out that the screenwriter's name was exactly the same, she had no choice but to accept the fact.

"There are many things you don't know. For a screenwriter, the path can't be too narrow." Xu Yu said in a pretentious manner.

Chu Zhaozhao nodded, and then commented on each of Xu Yu's dishes.

"This chili fried pork is not spicy enough. It would be better if it were spicier."

"This scrambled eggs with tomatoes is fine. I don't like anything with sugar in it, and you probably don't like it either, right?"

"These chicken wings are well made. I didn't expect you to be good at sweet and sour dishes as well."

"I don't really like this vegetable, but since you made it, I'll just have to give you a try."

Xu Yu watched Chu Zhaozhao eating happily. Although her words were not words of praise for him, actions were the best compliment.

The two of them chatted, with the TV series serving as background music, and finished their meal like this.

"Are you going to the airport?"

Chu Zhaozhao looked at the time and asked Xu Yu.

"Yes, I've called a taxi for you. Be careful on your way home and send me a message when you get home."

Xu Yu picked up the luggage and put his other hand on Chu Zhaozhao's waist.

"Or I'll quit and be your agent. If that doesn't work out, assistant is fine too." Chu Zhaozhao said slowly.

Xu Yu smiled, stroked the corner of Chu Zhaozhao's mouth, and then kissed her.

This kiss made Chu Zhaozhao feel Xu Yu's aggressiveness, and Chu Zhaozhao knew that Xu Yu didn't want to leave either.

"I'm more than capable of being your agent. Now, let's go. See you on the set."

Xu Yu held Chu Zhaozhao's hand, and the two of them were going downstairs together. They smiled at each other.

"If you become my agent, what will happen to Sister Wei? Forget it. I still like Sister Wei very much."

No matter how reluctant we were to part, the road was still so long, and we arrived at the apartment door in no time.

The taxi Xu Yu called for Chu Zhaozhao arrived, and Xu Yu helped Chu Zhaozhao get in the car.

Chu Zhaozhao looked at Xu Yu aggrievedly, and then Chu Zhaozhao realized that something was wrong.

"No, it's not a life-and-death separation, why are we doing this?"

"Yeah, I wanted to ask you that too, but the look on your face just now almost made me give in."

After Xu Yu finished speaking, he asked the driver to drive, and Chu Zhaozhao was too embarrassed to shout at Xu Yu again.

Xu Yu watched Chu Zhaozhao's taxi drive away before he got into another car and headed to the airport.

"Girl, is that your boyfriend?" the driver asked curiously.

"Yes." Chu Zhaozhao answered obediently.

The driver exclaimed, "Ouch!" and said, "Your boyfriend looks like a celebrity, but he was wearing a mask so I couldn't see him. My daughter likes a celebrity named Xu something, and she looks just like him."

"Really? Others also say he looks like a celebrity, but I don't think so."

Chu Zhaozhao quickly tried to smooth things over and pulled her mask up a little.

"Why are you both wearing masks? You don't have to wear them once you get in the car. There aren't so many rules in my car." The driver said cheerfully.

"My boyfriend and I both have colds. He gave it to me. I'm afraid of infecting you or leaving the virus behind. I'd better wear a mask."

Chu Zhaozhao found a perfect excuse, and the driver had nothing more to say, so he chatted with Chu Zhaozhao about some family matters.

"You said my daughter is a fangirl. I don't object, but I'm worried she's too crazy. She tells her friends every day that Xu is her husband. Isn't that nonsense?"

Chu Zhaozhao suppressed her laughter, but felt very proud in her heart.

"Your daughter may just have a crush on that celebrity right now, but that may disappear in the future. Don't worry, very few celebrities would date their fans."

Chu Zhaozhao's words did not reassure the driver, who frowned instead.

"You also said it was very rare. What kind of merchandise is she making now? She also wants to follow offline activities. How can an actor have offline activities? She even told me how many people there were at the scene. She video calls others every day to tell them where to wait for people. Don't you think this is nonsense?"

The driver seemed to be getting more and more excited as he spoke, but Chu Zhaozhao felt that something was getting more and more wrong.

Isn't this kind of behavior just that of a sasaeng fan?

"Uncle, how old is your daughter? If she's in school, how would she have the time to pursue these offline activities?"

"I'm busy driving a taxi every day and don't have time to take care of her. Her mother and I are divorced, and she's very indulgent towards her. I have no say in her affairs. My daughter also promised me that it wouldn't affect her studies. I used to think I should just let her go. Are these offline activities that far away?"

The driver asked Chu Zhaozhao innocently, and Chu Zhaozhao could only guess that the driver's daughter only said half of the sentence.

There was a red light at the intersection ahead. The driver slammed on the brakes, then turned around and said to Chu Zhaozhao.

Chu Zhaozhao fell forward due to the sudden brakes and almost hit the car in front.

"Uncle, you should pay more attention to your daughter. She is still in school and should focus on her studies."

Chu Zhaozhao tried to persuade the driver, but the driver sighed, as if he felt that it was of no use.

"I only have this one daughter. I hope she's happy, and her mother wants her to be happy too."

The driver was reciting alone in the front seat, and Chu Zhaozhao could only remain silent.
