Chapter 42: Meet on the Terrace

Lin Moyi walked gracefully to Xu Yu's side and naturally integrated into the conversation between Xu Yu and Mr. Lin.

"Brother Yu, this is Mr. Lin you mentioned before, right? It turns out to be just as you said."

Mr. Lin chuckled and asked, "Then tell me, what did Xu Yu say about me?"

"Brother Yu told me some of your deeds before. I think they are very impressive. I not only admire you, but I am also flattered to see you today." Lin Mo replied with a smile.

Mr. Lin nodded, looked at Xu Yu and said, "I didn't know you thought so highly of me?"

"Mr. Lin, you can handle it." Xu Yu said to Mr. Lin very intimately.

Sister Wei pouted, watched Lin Moyi's series of operations, and then turned back to look at Chu Zhaozhao.

"Look at how motivated others are, and then look at yourself. Learn from them." Sister Wei said to Lin Moyi in a sarcastic tone.

Chu Zhaozhao waved her hands and said, "Sister Wei, it's not that I don't want to learn, I just really don't have the ability. But if you want me to force it, I can do it."

"One?" Sister Wei gave Chu Zhaozhao a look and said.

Chu Zhaozhao straightened her clothes and walked towards Mr. Lin with a glass of wine.

"Teacher Xu, Sister Mo Yi, you guys seem to be having such a great time chatting. Did I disturb you?" Chu Zhaozhao said softly.

Xu Yu's eyes lit up, and he wondered what Chu Zhaozhao was going to do next.

Lin Moyi gave Chu Zhaozhao a forced smile and replied, "Of course it didn't disturb us. Brother Yu and I were planning to look for you. After all, the three of us are from the same company and are participating in the same event."

"Who is this...?" Mr. Lin looked at Chu Zhaozhao and asked.

Xu Yu hurriedly introduced, "This is also an artist from Zuxing Entertainment, her name is Chu Zhaozhao. She hasn't acted in many dramas. I hope that Mr. Lin can give her a chance to perform in the future."

"This is the first time I've heard such words from you. It seems like you have a good relationship?" Mr. Lin said, looking at Chu Zhaozhao.

Chu Zhaozhao toasted Mr. Lin with a smile and said, "Mr. Lin, you're right. You and Teacher Xu are very different. You're a figure in heaven, while our Teacher Xu is at most a rare talent among us. Of course, he has to be polite to you."

"Xu Yu, the artists in your company have all received speech training, right? How can they be so good at speaking?" Mr. Lin was happy and laughed heartily.

Sister Wei saw Lin Mo's face almost turning green with anger from a distance. She was very happy in her heart, but at the same time she was curious about what Chu Zhaozhao had said to Mr. Lin that made him so satisfied.

Xu Yu looked at Chu Zhaozhao and said, "There's no such training in our company. She said it naturally when she saw you, which means she really meant it."

Everyone praised Mr. Lin cautiously. Chu Zhaozhao felt that Mr. Lin might be even more powerful than she had imagined.

"Mr. Lin, let me toast you again. This is our first meeting, and I hope I haven't offended you. I hope I've left a good impression on you."

Chu Zhaozhao drank the wine in the glass heroically, and Xu Yu was so anxious that he almost snatched the glass.

"Zhao Zhao has a good alcohol tolerance, but Mr. Lin can't drink. Let me drink this glass of wine for Mr. Lin." Lin Mo said softly with a smile on his face.

Mr. Lin said, "No, no, you're so polite. I can still drink this glass of wine. Besides, she is so sincere, so I can't be bad."

Sister Wei was afraid that Chu Zhaozhao had gotten Mr. Lin drunk, so she walked over and coughed gently a few times.

Xu Yu noticed Sister Wei's movements and immediately changed the subject, giving Chu Zhaozhao and Lin Moyi a chance to leave.

"What did you just say to Mr. Lin that made him so happy?" Sister Wei asked.

Chu Zhaozhao and Sister Wei went into the bathroom, and Sister Wei watched Chu Zhaozhao spit out the wine.

"I don't know what Mr. Lin likes to hear. Anyway, I just praise him. But he really likes to hear such words." Chu Zhaozhao said while wiping his mouth.

Sister Wei leaned against the sink and said, "Now that you've shown your face in front of Mr. Lin, there's no need for you to see the rest of the people again. The others will naturally give Mr. Lin this face."

"Is this General Lin really that powerful?" Chu Zhaozhao asked in disbelief.

Sister Wei nodded, but didn't elaborate. Chu Zhaozhao put on her makeup and the two of them walked out of the bathroom.

When they returned to the venue, Lin Moyi had disappeared. Chu Zhaozhao was indeed hungry, so she found a small cake to eat. If she hadn't been concerned about the camera, she would have taken the whole plate away and eaten it aside.

"Sister Wei, is this your new artist?"

"Your name is Chu Zhaozhao, right? Nice name, and good-looking too. How about leaving a business card?"

"Isn't this Sister Wei? I heard you were abroad. When did you return? Why did you bring an unknown little artist with you?"

The advantage of Chu Zhaozhao standing next to Sister Wei is that she has a high exposure rate and most people know Sister Wei. The disadvantage is that she can't eat because many people come to talk to her.

After going back and forth several times, Chu Zhaozhao still hadn't finished eating a piece of cake.

"I should have known not to eat earlier. If there's nothing in my stomach, I'm not hungry at all. Now there's something to eat, but I'm not full. I'm going to starve to death."

Chu Zhaozhao lowered her head in distress, her expression looking somewhat aggrieved and painful.

Sister Wei only felt relieved after she had seen off wave after wave of guests.

"It's not unreasonable to hold a banquet like this once a year." Sister Wei sighed.

Not only Chu Zhaozhao was tired, but Sister Wei was also tired. Chu Zhaozhao wondered if the bosses on the field were tired.

Everyone is dressed up beautifully and everyone seems to be having a good time chatting, but no one knows what is really going on.

Artists are like commodities, bosses are like guests, and agents are like shopping guides in a supermarket. There is no real winner at this banquet.

Chu Zhaozhao looked around again and realized that she hadn't seen Xu Yu since she came out of the bathroom.

Chu Zhaozhao guessed that Xu Yu might have left, so he didn't think much about it.

[After the last part is over, please come to the terrace.]

Chu Zhaozhao looked at her cell phone and saw it was a message from Xu Yu.

"Who is it?" Sister Wei asked curiously.

"Xu Yu, he asked me to go to the terrace." Chu Zhaozhao said truthfully and even showed the interface to Sister Wei.

Sister Wei smiled and asked, "Why did he ask you to go to the terrace?"

"I want to know too. Do I look like I know?" Chu Zhaozhao couldn't help but feel a little confused, and at the same time inexplicably excited.

Sister Wei narrowed her eyes, as if thinking, and then said, "Actually, the banquet is almost over. It will only be the last part soon. There are so many people here. Xu Yu shouldn't do anything out of line. You can go."

"I..." Chu Zhaozhao suddenly began to hesitate.

"Actor Xu has more experience in the entertainment industry than you. If you don't believe me, you have to believe him, right?" Sister Wei raised her eyebrows and said.

Chu Zhaozhao felt that the priorities were reversed and asked, "Why shouldn't I trust you? You're my manager, right? Besides, what manager would advise a female artist to meet a male artist privately? You're the only one, right?"
