Just a few minutes after Chu Zhaozhao left with the bowl, her cell phone on the table rang.
"Hello, are you the actress Chu Zhaozhao?"
"Wait a moment, I'll convey it to you."
Chu Huaiyang became serious, picked up his phone and went to find Chu Zhaozhao, fearing that it was because of his problem that Chu Zhaozhao did not receive the work information.
Chu Zhaozhao answered the phone and said, "Hello, I'm Chu Zhaozhao. What can I do for you?"
"Hello, I'm Director Zheng Yuanjie's assistant. We're planning to adapt one of Mr. Zheng's works, and he thinks there's a role that would be perfect for you. If you're interested, please come to Mr. Zheng's studio tomorrow so we can discuss it in detail."
The assistant's pronunciation was very clear and Chu Zhaozhao understood it, but she was still worried that it might be a scam.
"I would like to ask, which work does Mr. Zheng plan to adapt?" Chu Zhaozhao asked tentatively.
Zheng Yuanjie's assistant patiently replied, "Mr. Zheng plans to adapt his debut novel, Tears of Light. He won't start filming unless he finds the right actors, as this will also be his debut film."
"Okay, thanks, I'll be there."
Chu Zhaozhao was ecstatic. Of course she had read the novel "Tears of Light".
The difference is that this novel has been adapted into a TV series. Although it is not very faithful to the original, it has a high rating online because of its exciting plot.
"Zhao Zhao, what's going on?"
Chu Huaiyang looked at Chu Zhaozhao nervously and swallowed unconsciously a few times.
"Third brother, Zheng Yuanjie, you know, he gave me his business card when I was on the set. His assistant just called and asked me to come to the studio tomorrow to discuss it in detail. I feel like I won the lottery. No, I'm even luckier than winning the lottery!"
Chu Zhaozhao's face was rosy and she looked very excited. Chu Huaiyang finally felt relieved and was happy for her.
"I knew you would become famous, not just a small actor or star. You would definitely stand on a higher stage and be seen by more people."
Chu Huaiyang's words made Chu Zhaozhao feel very comfortable, and she even felt the brother-sister relationship between her and Chu Huaiyang.
All of a sudden, Chu Zhaozhao began to reflect on whether she was sometimes a little impatient with Chu Huaiyang.
However, this guilt did not occupy Chu Zhaozhao's heart. She was more excited and immediately sent WeChat messages to Sister Wei and her assistant.
Director Zheng approached me. He wants to adapt Tears of Light. This is his debut film, and I'm going to be starring in his debut film. With this sentiment, how could I possibly be far from winning an award?!
Chu Zhaozhao also added an excited emoticon.
When Sister Wei received the message, she couldn't hide the smile on her face, but she still reminded Chu Zhaozhao not to be too proud.
[Those who pop champagne mid-event often end up with bad results. Don't let your guard down until the very last moment.]
Looking at the message Sister Wei replied, Chu Zhaozhao felt that Sister Wei did not resonate with him and felt a little depressed.
"Although I know you have the ability and can easily get a role like this, as a film queen, we should have this kind of tolerance. We are different from those small-time actors."
"It turns out that Sister Wei has recognized me for a long time and even praised me so highly."
Chu Zhaozhao suddenly felt a little warm and smiled foolishly while holding her phone.
"Zhao Zhao, everyone has seen your strength, and all your achievements are well deserved." Chu Huaiyang said, scratching his head.
Chu Zhaozhao smiled at Chu Huaiyang, remembered what Sister Wei said, and made her words more complete.
"Actually, Director Zheng might not be interested in me playing a major role, but perhaps a smaller one. However, as long as I can appear in Director Zheng's movie, it's much better than playing the third female lead in a small web drama."
After Chu Zhaozhao finished speaking, Chu Huaiyang felt that he didn't understand either, so he just stood by and silently shared his joy with Chu Zhaozhao.
The assistant had not replied to Chu Zhaozhao's message yet, but Chu Zhaozhao saw another person in WeChat, that was Xu Yu.
"Third brother, friends should share some good news, right?" Chu Zhaozhao asked Chu Huaiyang seriously.
Chu Huaiyang nodded woodenly, because he didn't think anyone would doubt this question, unless that person was not necessarily a "friend".
Chu Zhaozhao got the answer she wanted and told Xu Yu the good news.
[You know Director Zheng Yuanjie? He gave me an audition opportunity, hoping I could seize it and become a Best Actor soon. That way, I could open a studio sooner and push you out of the entertainment industry.]
Chu Zhaozhao added a playful emoticon and then began to look forward to Xu Yu's reply.
Perhaps because she was too excited, Chu Zhaozhao felt her body getting hot, and she immediately went to the refrigerator to find a bottle of ice water to drink.
[Congratulations. If Queen Chu opens a studio, could you sign me as an artist in your studio?]
Xu Yu’s emoticon pack is a very cute one, showing a pig looking confused, and Chu Zhaozhao couldn’t help laughing out loud.
"Okay, since you've already called me the Best Actress Chu, I'll win the Best Actress award first and then consider whether or not to sign you when I open a studio."
"No way, you're only starting to consider this now that you've become a movie queen. So, it would be a waste of time for me to call you a movie queen now."
Chu Huaiyang saw that the smile on Chu Zhaozhao's face was becoming more and more rampant, and even the corners of his mouth could no longer be suppressed. Chu Huaiyang stood up and moved closer to Chu Zhaozhao, trying to see the chat interface of Chu Zhaozhao's mobile phone.
