This sentence completely angered Concubine Li. She picked up the feather duster and said, "Lift up your robe."
The Thirteenth Prince was not afraid at all. He lifted up his robe swiftly, revealing his thin calves. The feather duster fell on his calves again and again, leaving scars on his thin legs.
"How old are you to talk back?"
"You don't listen to your mother's teachings. You are unfilial."
"Do you know that because of Yan Bao, my mother was bullied by Concubine Shu?"
The Thirteenth Prince lowered his head and said, "I'm sorry, mother, for causing you trouble. This is my son's fault, and it has nothing to do with Yan Bao."
