The Thirteenth Prince tasted the sweetness of the candy. He opened his mouth and held the pine nut candy. The fragrant and crispy pine nuts, combined with the sweetness of the candy, tasted surprisingly good. He was reluctant to finish it all at once, so he pressed it on the tip of his tongue and savored it slowly.
After eating the candy, Yan Bao rested enough. It looked like it was getting dark. Thinking of the wolves in the deep forest, she frowned and said, "Let's go quickly. It's not safe after dark."
"I...I can't leave. You go ahead and report back." The Thirteenth Prince pointed in the direction they came from: "Go straight from that direction and you'll be in the direction of the camp."
Yan Bao then noticed his abnormality, lifted the hem of his robe, and looked at his broken leg, which was swollen beyond recognition: "You can't walk with your legs?"
The Thirteenth Prince took a breath in pain: "I can't leave."
"I'll carry you!" Yan Bao squatted down in front of him without saying a word.
The Thirteenth Prince looked at the little girl who was half a head shorter than him. How could she possibly carry him on her back? "No, you go first. I'll wait here for you to send someone to rescue me."
"What if I leave you alone and you get taken away by a wolf?" Yan Bao saw his face change and knew that he was afraid of wolves.
The Thirteenth Prince struggled for a moment and had to rely on Yan Bao. He finally lay on Yan Bao's back, but Yan Bao's strength was exhausted and with a thud, both of them fell to the ground.
Yan Bao screamed, "Ouch!"
The Thirteenth Prince groaned and pressed the man down: "Are you okay?"
"Something's wrong!" Yan Bao was convinced. She admitted defeat: "We can't leave now. Let's wait for someone to rescue us."
Yan Bao knew that she had used the substitute talisman and her spiritual energy was exhausted. Normally, when she was full, she could carry a person taller than her, but now she couldn't do that. Her limbs were weak and she was about to fall asleep.
Before that, they can only wait for someone to rescue them.
The Thirteenth Prince's eyes darkened a little: "Why don't you go alone?"
"No." Yan Bao directly ordered the Thirteenth Prince: "Pile up the leaves around you, and we will create a smoke signal to let people know that there are people here and come find us."
"Do you have a fire starter?" The Thirteenth Prince frowned.
Yan Bao showed off by showing off his white purse: "Don't you have one?"
The Thirteenth Prince suddenly felt inferior, but he didn't.
Yan Bao proudly used a tinder to light the dry leaves, and added a lot of fresh leaves. The smoke curled up and rose higher and higher. As long as you saw the black smoke, you would know that there was someone here.
The black smoke was not big enough, so Yan Bao picked up leaves and threw weeds on it, making the smoke much thicker.
Yan Bao's vision went dark. She stuffed the tinderbox into the Thirteenth Prince's hand and said, "I'll leave it to you now. I...I'm going to sleep for a while!"
Along with the fire starter, there was also a purse filled with pine nut candies.
"You eat." After Yan Bao said that, he fell asleep beside the Thirteenth Prince. His little face was so chubby that people couldn't help but poke it again and again.
The Thirteenth Prince took off his coat and covered Yan Bao with it to prevent her from catching a cold. He looked at the black smoke expressionlessly, wondering if anyone could really see their distress signal while washing dishes.
He doesn't want to die yet.
He also didn't want the little sister who called him little brother to die.
