Chapter 180 Consort Su's Unyielding Spirit

"Send a copy of the recipe for this dessert to the Crown Princess."

Lin Qingwan thought it over and decided not to send the pastries directly, fearing that something might be unclear. So she asked Muxue to take the pastry chef to the side hall.

Mu Xue hesitated, "This servant... is afraid the Crown Princess will scold me."

"Why don't we let Sister Qiuhong go?"

Qiu Hong shuddered. "I am the Crown Prince's person. The Crown Princess gets even angrier when she sees me. She didn't want to curse, but she still has to say a few words."

Tang Yun scolded Su Yun until she cried that day, and then berated Shen Xu mercilessly, causing everyone in the Eastern Palace to fear her and want to take a detour whenever they saw the Crown Princess.

Mu Xue pleaded, "Madam, why don't you let Master go by himself?"

"This servant is truly frightened."

Lin Qingwan was both amused and exasperated, but she could understand them both.

"Alright, let the pastry chef go and talk to him himself."

Mu Xue and Qiu Hong breathed a sigh of relief. "Thank you, Madam."

Youlan Palace.

Su Yun's eyes have been swollen for two days, and Cui'er has been applying ice packs to them several times a day.

"That Tang Yun is like a mad dog." Su Yun even dreamed about being pointed at and cursed by her in the middle of the night, and it was going to have lasting effects.

"She's out of her mind! Why is she taking her anger out on me instead of Lin Qingwan!" Su Yun was truly at a loss for words.

The Crown Prince was of impeccable character, and she had truly enjoyed serving him all these years. She had almost complete control over the affairs of the Eastern Palace.

She doesn't need to deal with other women; she only needs to focus on getting close to the Crown Prince.

Su Yun never imagined that her good days would end so quickly. The key was that Tang Yun was completely different from what she had imagined; he was savage, unruly, and aggressive.

"You should probably take a detour when you see the Crown Princess in the future; her mouth is truly terrifying." Cui'er still felt lingering fear when she thought about it.

Su Yun disagreed, saying, "It's just talk, it might annoy people at most. The important thing is Lin Qingwan. The best opportunity is when the Crown Prince isn't around. Once the Crown Prince returns after driving away the Xiongnu, there's no hope left."

Cui'er looked at her still swollen eyes and said, "You should rest for a couple of days. Nothing can compare to your health."

Su Yun pursed her lips, "If I can't get them out of the East Palace, no matter how healthy I am, I'll still be destined to serve them and be at their mercy."

Cui'er hesitated, then could only sigh at her mistress's unwavering will and indomitable spirit.

"What has the Crown Princess been doing these past two days?" Su Yun asked after a moment's pause.

"I met the Vice Minister's wife yesterday, and today... Madam Wan sent the pastry chef from the kitchen to make a portion of the cat's favorite pastry in the side hall."

Su Yun sat up straight. "The Crown Princess didn't curse anyone?"

Cui'er was also surprised. "No. The pastry chef was very nervous when he went there, afraid that the Crown Princess would take her anger out on him because of Lady Wan. But little did he know that although the Crown Princess looked unpleasant, she didn't scold anyone."

"Also, because the cat liked the pastries made by the master, he rewarded the small kitchen."

Su Yun frowned deeply, recalling that Tang Yun had also lashed out at her that day. Although he didn't take Lin Qingwan seriously, he certainly didn't talk about her.

Wow, that's weird.

"Could you help me find out what exactly happened with the celadon jade cup on my wedding night?"

"Also, where does the Crown Princess's cat usually hang out?"

Su Yun took a deep breath. The Crown Princess liked to scold people because she was controlled by her emotions and couldn't stand the slightest loss.

People who can't hide their emotions are also the easiest to be taken advantage of.

In the evening, Feng'er returned from school and went straight to the main house. As soon as she entered, she threw her schoolbag to the eunuch and grumbled that she was hungry.

"Madam has prepared some snacks and instructed the kitchen to make fish soup noodles. Dinner will be served soon." Mu Xue brought over the snacks, and Feng'er grabbed two and stuffed them into her mouth.

"Be careful not to choke." Lin Qingwan personally handed him tea at the perfect temperature and patted his back.

Feng'er decided to write a letter to her father later to tell him that Qingwan was taking very good care of her.

This kid holds a grudge.

"The pastries here are delicious, but those from the Imperial Academy are not."

Lin Qingwan said bluntly, "Every day when you go to school, I have the eunuch bring you a box of pastries, exactly the same kind, okay?"

Feng'er hugged her arm, "I don't care, nothing tastes good when I can't see you."

Lin Qingwan said helplessly, "Your Highness, you really can't keep reading storybooks. Children who are too precocious will not grow tall."

Feng'er wasn't in a hurry at all. "I had someone buy several newly published books that tell the story of the love and hate between a Kunlun Mountain immortal and his unfilial disciple..."

Lin Qingwan's eyes lit up, and she instantly forgot what she had just said. "Let me see it."

Mu Xue and Qiu Hong exchanged a glance; this one, big and small, was truly beyond saving.

Lin Qingwan likes fish soup noodles, and so does Feng'er. The two of them eat it every few days, and each time they finish the noodles, leaving little room for the other dishes.

Feng'er rubbed her full stomach and said, "Mother, shall we read some storybooks to aid digestion?"

“Okay!” Lin Qingwan was even more enthusiastic than him.

Before the two could even move, they heard a "meow," and Tang Yun's cat jumped in through the window with practiced ease.

This time, he didn't even greet Lin Qingwan. He went straight to the bowl of fish soup noodles they had left over, his eyes shining, and he smacked his lips.

Feng'er's eyes lit up. "What a beautiful tabby cat!"

Before Lin Qingwan could even speak, Feng'er picked up the cat and petted it a couple of times.

"You like fish soup noodles too?" Feng'er put the bowl on the ground. "I'll ask the kitchen to make more next time. I'll just have some soup for today."

Qiu Hong's expression tightened, and she snatched the bowl away before the cat could reach it. "Your Highness, this is the Crown Princess's cat."

"Don't feed them randomly."

Feng'er was stunned for a moment, then said sincerely, "She actually keeps such an adorable cat?"
