Chapter 149 The Orcish Fleeing Force

Lin Xia nodded with a smile, not listening to what he said at all.

Su Tang was suspicious and wondered to herself: What does the transformation of a tiger cub have to do with my kitten?

Do all orc cubs take about the same amount of time to transform into human form?

That should be the meaning!

"I see, thank you so much. This is my first time raising a baby too." Su Tang nodded and thanked her.

Hu Shen sighed inwardly, thinking that the female, who had no offspring of her own, was truly a kind-hearted woman to raise five offspring that were not her own.

From now on, Niu Li should take good care of the female family.

After the exchange, Hu Shen returned home.

When Xiao Fu returned from the chicken coop, he saw the pheasants in the yard.

He exclaimed with delight, "Sister, where did this chicken come from? It's a rooster! The hens in the coop can hatch their chicks now!"

"It's Hu Shen, the male who fainted at our house a few days ago. He brought it to exchange for something."

After Su Tang finished speaking, she looked at the pheasant.

She then noticed that this pheasant was different from the one Su Jianyuan had caught.

The feathers are brightly colored and very beautiful.

Moreover, the wings were only bound with vines and were not injured at all.

There's no problem feeding them.

Su Tang was puzzled. What a coincidence! Xiao Fu just happened to want a rooster, and he brought her one, a live one at that.

Xiao Fu didn't notice Su Tang's unusual behavior and happily carried the pheasant to the chicken coop.

As she ran, she exclaimed with delight, "Sister, this pheasant is even bigger than the one Second Brother caught!"

Hearing this, Lin Xia was even more pleased.

The deeper you go into the forest, the larger the prey becomes.

The stronger the orcs that hunt, the better.

This young man is quite skilled, not bad, not bad!

...

I used soapberries to give the kittens a bath.

After being washed and dried, the kitten had a faint, pleasant fragrance.

To keep the kittens alive longer, Su Tang laid down wooden planks on the ground and fenced off a section of land.

The sun was very bright after the rain.

Once the kittens were dried, the mud on the ground was also almost completely dry.

Su Tang said with a serious expression:

"Don't leave the plank! If anyone gets their fur dirty again, they won't get any meat today!"

The kittens shuddered and nodded like chicks pecking at rice, looking utterly obedient.

Su Tang turned around, ready to leave.

Erbao and Sanbao eagerly reached their paws out of the wooden board.

Su Tang suddenly turned around.

The two kittens stood upright, their bright, innocent-looking eyes blinking.

The other three kittens were all lying obediently in the sun.

Su Tang looked suspicious, squinted at the kitten for a few seconds, and then turned away again.

The next second.

Su Tang turned around again, and Er Bao and San Bao's paws were already treading on the mud.

The second and third children, caught red-handed: "..."

Su Tang: "..."

Su Tang was so angry that her temples throbbed. She wiped Erbao and Sanbao's paws clean and then used her trump card.

"If any of you step off the plank, none of you five will get any meat today!"

Wu Bao: "!!" Aww! It's Mother's eyes, no one can step off the wooden plank!

...

riverside.

A group of orcs of various shapes and sizes gathered under the tree to rest.

"Ajiu, here, this is clean water that was just scooped from the river. It's not dirty at all. Have some."

A young male, carrying a bowl folded from leaves, eagerly brought it to the foot of the tree.

The female, called Ajiu, fanned herself with her hand. Her animal skin was tattered and had several holes in it. Her sallow hair was wet and clung to her cheeks.

She was petite and one of the few young females in the group.

Cat Nine didn't even glance at the male, took the water, gulped it down, and then tossed the leaf aside.

He complained with a dissatisfied look on his face:

"What kind of weather is this? It just rained and it's already so hot. How much longer until we find the tribe? We can only drink water all day, and I'm starving!"

Seeing that she was angry, the young man quickly tried to soothe her:

"Ah Jiu, don't be angry. I have another fruit here. You can use it to fill your stomach for now. I'll give it to you when I catch some prey."

The male carefully took a small green fruit out of his pocket.

Mao Jiu was a little disgusted, but still took it.

She was starving; since their tribe was destroyed and they fled, they hadn't had a proper meal.

"Ptooey! What kind of fruit is this? It tastes awful, it's so sour it'll make my teeth ache!"

Cat Nine took a bite, and its whole face scrunched up.

Spitting out the fruit from her mouth, she angrily shoved the fruit back into the male's hand.

Just then.

The orcs behind him let out a series of sighs.

"He's back with another prey!"

"He's caught his prey after only a short rest, that's amazing!"

"If only I could be his partner, then I wouldn't have to go hungry..."

All the orcs in the group looked towards the distance.

A tall, muscular male was tearing apart a rabbit, listening to the envious whispers of the crowd, but he didn't turn his head.

Cat Nine also saw the rabbit.

She couldn't help but swallow.

These orcs were all refugees who didn't know each other; they simply traveled together for safety.

Apart from her fellow orcs, the other orcs wouldn't care whether she lived or died, let alone give her food.

This male only recently joined their group.

Since he arrived, he has been able to eat meat almost every day, which makes everyone very envious.

Some orcs had malicious intentions and tried to steal his prey, but he defeated them all.
