A tiger-type orc pulled aside the crops in the field and suddenly shouted.
"These look like the footprints of Zerg orcs!"
The beasts rushed over to see.
Su Guodong suddenly saw something, and rushed forward to grab the tiger-clan beastman's hand.
The tiger-man was startled, then realized that Su Guodong was staring at the crops in his hands.
"I just found footprints here, I didn't intentionally damage the crops..." He thought he had disturbed the crops and angered Su Guodong.
To everyone's surprise, Su Guodong shook his head, his brows furrowed.
"There are locusts. My crops have been bitten, and they are huge locusts."
Following Su Guodong's gaze, the beasts noticed that there were indeed insect bite marks on the crops in front of him.
"Uncle, how do you know they are locusts?" Hu Shen asked in confusion.
Su Guodong didn't have time to give Hu Shen the cold shoulder right now; all he wanted was to find his daughter and son.
"Of course I know. No matter what kind of insect it is, I can recognize it just by looking at the marks left on it."
As an agronomy professor, I naturally have a very good understanding of pests.
The crops in the field were like his children to him.
If a child gets bitten by an insect or becomes sick, they need to be treated. Parents are most concerned about their children's health.
Hu Shen understood, while Niu Li and the others looked on with admiration.
Ah Tang's father is truly amazing! He could even see that!
"Isn't it normal to have locusts in the field?" Lin Xia asked, puzzled. "And it's not surprising that the insects are a bit big."
The plants and animals here are all larger than those in the real world, so it's not surprising that the locusts are a bit bigger.
“There have been locusts in the field before, but none this big, and…” Su Guodong paused, “I’ve already sprayed pesticides, there shouldn’t be any locusts in the field.”
The pesticide at my daughter's farm is very effective; it works within a day, and there weren't a single locust after it was sprayed.
Hu Shen frowned, the answer was obvious.
They are orcs from the Locust Clan.
Niu Li suddenly realized, scratching his head, "No wonder we didn't see any other footprints here. The locust tribe's orcs have wings; they can fly."
"Where is the nearest locust orc tribe?" Hu Shen asked in a deep voice.
"Boss, in the south."
Hu Shen led some of the orcs and immediately prepared to set off for the locust tribe.
Seeing this, Su Guodong also wanted to go, but Lin Xia stopped him.
"Why would you go and cause trouble? Xiao Shen and the others can run and fight. You'll only hold them back."
After Lin Xia finished speaking, she looked at Hu Shen and said sincerely.
"Xiao Shen, we're entrusting our Tangtang to you. We'll remember your kindness. If you ever need anything, just let us know, and we'll make sure you get it."
Upon hearing Lin Xia's last two sentences, Hu Shen's eyes flickered.
She nodded slightly and said, "I will bring Ah Tang and the cub back safely."
Su Guodong looked at Hu Shen with his wrinkled eyes and said seriously, "You better come back safely."
The momentum had barely begun, and it didn't even last two seconds.
Su Guodong suddenly twisted his waist, turned his head and begged for mercy, "Ouch, wife, it hurts, it hurts, pinch me gently..."
Lin Xia pinched his waist and said irritably, "Can't you speak properly with your mouth?"
"I was wrong, wife." Su Guodong immediately transformed into a docile old fox, waving his hand at Hu Shen as he spoke.
Hurry up and leave, honestly, are you still standing there watching him make a fool of himself?
The four kittens were meowing excitedly, looking like they were about to stand up and beg.
It was as if they were thanking Hu Shen for his help.
Hu Shen never expected that Hu Zai would go to such lengths to beg for Ah Tang.
They are flexible and adaptable, and Atang has raised them very well.
He pursed his lips and said to the tiger cubs, "I will bring your mother back, don't worry."
Hu Shen led half of the orcs to search for Su Tang and the cubs, while the other half stayed at home to avoid being attacked again.
When the leader of the gray wolves learned that Ah Tang was in trouble, he also sent two teams of orcs to help, and together with Hu Shen, they went to look for her.
The Su family stayed home to watch over the remaining cubs and females, allowing Hu Shen to go and rescue people without worry.
...
With the care of many females, the parasites in the cave all recovered.
Most of the parasites here are stone moth beastmen, with only a few females from other races, all of whom were captured sporadically like Su Tang.
They were all alone and without anyone to care for them, so Su Tang asked the chief for some food.
Upon seeing the food that Su Tang brought, one of the females looked disgusted.
"You lackeys of the Zerg orcs, I would rather die than let the Zerg orc cubs hatch. Take these things away and get out."
The other parasitized females also glared angrily at Su Tang.
But what they saw in their eyes was more of a sense of desolation at the prospect of facing death.
Su Tang wasn't angry that she had been misunderstood.
He glanced at the insectoid orc guarding the cave entrance, bent down to approach the female, and lowered his voice:
"None of the insectoid orcs and cubs here will survive. If you trust me, I can make your departure easier in a few days."
The moment they were parasitized, their lives were tied to those of the Zerg larvae.
Su Tang felt she was incapable of saving them, and this was the only thing she could do.
A hint of surprise flashed in the female's eyes.
Before she could even ask herself any questions, Su Tang had already gotten up and left.
The female recalled Su Tang's words.
They are living a life worse than death, but the Zerg orcs will not let them die easily.
Even if they dared to commit suicide, the Zerg orcs would attack their tribes and capture more parasites.
