Chapter 230 The Ranch Opens

afternoon.

A cool breeze blew down from the mountain, and golden leaves danced in the wind.

Su Tang went to the farm space as usual to pick the ripe crops.

After accumulating for this period of time, she has unlocked nine plots of land. With a wave of her hand, she squandered the 500,000 gold coins she had saved in her little treasury, and the last plot of land was also unlocked.

Looking at the ten plots of land arranged in two rows in front of her, Su Tang felt a great sense of accomplishment.

The next second, two strings of black text appeared in front of Su Tang.

"Congratulations to the farmer for unlocking all land! The land upgrade feature is now available!"

"The ranch is now open!"

Su Tang knew that land could be upgraded; the Ganoderma lucidum she had previously acquired couldn't be planted because the land level wasn't high enough.

After glancing at the rules for land upgrades, Su Tang was so surprised that she held her jaw, which had almost dropped.

"Upgrading from loess soil to black soil allows for the cultivation of rare and high-grade crops, halving the crop ripening time and doubling the yield!"

"The fruits produced will have the same effect!"

There's such a good thing.

If all the land in the farm space were upgraded to black soil, wouldn't her savings increase dramatically?

Su Tang excitedly glanced at the upgrade requirements.

"1 million gold coins per plot of land."

"..." Goodbye!

Su Tang looked directly at the second one: the ranch.

Does this place not only allow for planting but also for raising livestock?

Su Tang's face lit up with joy. If that were really the case, she would never have to worry about food and drink again.

Looking around, I saw a pasture fenced off behind the land, but it was empty except for a wooden hut.

Next to the shack was a brown wooden sign with the words "Expansion" written on it.

She recognized the familiar routine at a glance.

A newly opened ranch only has one pit; if you want more, you'll have to spend gold coins.

Su Tang went to the mall again, and sure enough, a new shelf had been added next to the shelf selling short-term crop seeds.

Unlike farms, the shelves don't sell animals that can be raised; they only have feed processing machines, feeders, water bowls, and other supplies.

There was no feed for sale; it's probably because the crops grown on the farm can be processed and fed directly to the animals.

Su Tang wondered if the farm had the ability to upgrade seeds, so would the ranch have the same ability?

Thinking of the bamboo rats and pheasants that Xiaofu raised, she decided to give it a try.

No sooner had they stepped out of the farm space than they heard Xiao Fu's excited voice coming from outside.

"Second Brother is back! Mother, Sister, Second Brother and the others have returned from the Bamboo Bear Tribe."

Upon hearing this, Su Tang temporarily put down what she was doing.

As soon as I stepped outside, I saw Su Jianyuan standing in the courtyard.

Behind him was a pile of iron ore in bamboo baskets, which stretched from inside the yard to outside. From a distance, there were at least fifty baskets.

"Brother," Su Tang greeted him.

"Sister! Come and see the spoils your brother brought back! So much iron ore, enough to last a long time!" Su Jianyuan waved excitedly when he saw his sister.

Su Tang looked at Su Jianyuan. His once handsome and rugged face was now covered in stubble, and his hair was casually swept back, giving him a greasy, slicked-back look.

He also got a tan all over.

He didn't lose weight; it was probably due to the excessive amount of food Lin Xia prepared. However, his muscles became more toned and firm.

"So much?" Su Tang walked to his side and finally saw the full view of the iron ore outside.

A huge pile was displayed outside; there were more than fifty frames, probably over a hundred.

"Don't you even know who went in person? With your brother leading the way, how could it be anything less than a great success!" Su Jianyuan boasted without a trace of modesty.

They never mentioned the hardships of mining with the bamboo bear beastmen in the mines or bringing back the iron ore.

"Second brother, you're finally back. Why did you take so long this time?" Lin Xia came out from the backyard and felt a pang of heartache when she saw Su Jianyuan's appearance.

"You've gotten darker and thinner. Mom will make you something delicious tonight to help you recover."

Su Tang's lips twitched. Sure enough, in her mother's eyes, her child would lose weight if he went out, and losing weight meant he was suffering.

Going out means suffering.

Su Jianyuan chuckled, "I just wanted to bring back more iron ore, so I mined for a few more days."

If he hadn't taken too few orcs, and if he hadn't already dug up too many, he would have carried the entire mine back with him.

"What about the orcs who went with you? Were you all unharmed?" Lin Xia asked worriedly.

I've heard that mining can easily lead to injuries.

Although those orcs were not her cubs, she could not disregard their safety.

"Don't worry, Mother, they're not injured. They're just tired from the journey, so I told them to go back and rest first."

Hearing this, Lin Xia felt relieved.

Knowing that Su Jianyuan must have been tired from the journey, Lin Xia quickly went to boil water so that he could take a bath and get some sleep.

Su Jianyuan was indeed tired, but his spirits were still high.

"Mother, no need. I'll go and deliver these iron ore to the blacksmith's shop first, and then I'll rest tonight."

He was so preoccupied with the new weapon that he couldn't bear to sleep.

"You child..." Lin Xia glared at him, but before she could finish speaking, Su Jianyuan had already carried away a basket of iron ore.

"I'll go get the orcs to help." Su Tang saw Su Jianyuan carrying it alone and went out to find the orcs.

Xiao Fu was eager to help, but found that he couldn't even lift it, so he gave up and went out with his older sister to find help.

"Sister, it's Brother Hu Shen!" Xiao Fu said as she walked, suddenly tugging at Su Tang's clothes.

Hu Shen also learned of Su Jianyuan's return and came over specifically for that purpose.
