Behind the tree.
Cat Nine nervously covered her mouth.
She was just out for a walk, hoping to find a partner among the orcs returning from the hunt, when she unexpectedly stumbled upon Lionfeather's conversation with a strange orc.
Hearing their words, she felt a jolt in her heart. They were going to take A-Tang away? The Lion Feather tribe still existed? He had been lying all along!
What exactly is Lionfeather, and why did it pretend to be a fleeing orc to join them?
In that instant, even the last shred of hope that Cat Nine had for Lion Feather was shattered.
Aside from being good at catching prey, he's useless at everything else and a liar. She wouldn't dare have a partner like that.
What kind of partner am I looking for? My life is more important!
Cat Nine held her breath and crouched down carefully. Seeing that Lion Feather was about to leave, she breathed a sigh of relief and carefully got up.
But my legs went numb from squatting, and I accidentally stepped on a tree branch.
"Creak!"
Oh no!
Cat Nine was startled. Before she could react, a rough hand grabbed her neck from behind.
"Who are you? What did you just hear?" Shida asked fiercely.
"I...I didn't hear anything. I'm a female from a nearby tribe. I was just passing by. Please don't kill me..." Cat Nine was so frightened that her legs went weak.
She could sense the killing intent emanating from the orc; he wanted to kill her.
Lion Feather followed, and when he saw Cat Nine's face, he frowned. "Cat Nine, it's you? I thought you had changed, but I didn't expect you to still be secretly following me."
Cat Nine's eyes widened. "I didn't! I wasn't following you, I just..." She had clearly come out to see the other beastmen.
How come I never noticed how narcissistic Lion Feather was before?
"Little leader, do you know this female?" Seeing that the two knew each other, Shida restrained his killing intent and interrupted Mao Jiu.
Lion Feather nodded. "She is a female in this tribe. Let her go. She means no harm."
Although he didn't like Mao Jiu, Shi Ling had no intention of hurting her.
Anyway, he's going back soon, and he won't see Mao Jiu again.
“No.” Shida frowned, increasing the pressure on his hand. “The chieftain said we can’t let the orcs of this tribe know that we took you away. She saw it, so we can’t keep you.”
As he spoke, he was about to snap Mao Jiu's neck.
Although females are precious, females who are not from his own tribe are still as worthless as weeds in Shida's eyes.
Upon hearing this, Cat Nine panicked. "Wait! Wait a minute, don't kill me! I won't tell the other beastmen. If all else fails, take me with you so the other beastmen won't know."
She didn't want to die!
Although she was more afraid of Atang, following a capable female like Atang was better than dying.
"I'll be obedient and promise not to run away on the way. Besides, I'm female, so taking me back will be good for you!" Cat Nine tried her best to promote herself.
Lion Feather also looked at Lion Da; he disliked killing.
"Alright then." Seeing this, Shida could only nod.
Poor Cat Nine was taken away from the Gray Wolf Tribe.
Cat Nine was feeling frustrated. Why did nothing good ever happen whenever he saw Lion Feather?
All I do is get arrested!
On the way, Cat Nine's eyes darted around, trying to find a chance to escape back before she got too far from the tribe. But Lion Da saw through her intentions at a glance and knocked her unconscious with a single blow.
"..."
In the jungle.
Su Tang guarded the four cubs, and in order to prevent her from escaping, Shi Tian continued to hold onto the four treasures, not giving her and the cubs a chance to escape.
After Da Bao, Er Bao, and the others woke up, they saw that Shi Tian had caught Si Bao. They were all bristling and hissing as they retreated toward Su Tang.
"Meow!" The four treasures were captured by the bad beasts, but the bad beasts were too strong. They couldn't beat them, so they just pretended to be fierce and didn't actually fight back.
"Don't be afraid, little one, he won't hurt Sibao for now," Su Tang said, patting Dabao and the others on the head to comfort them.
The little ones looked at Sibao and didn't struggle, so they didn't seem so scary anymore. However, Sibao and the bad beast both smelled bad.
The four cubs covered their noses with their paw pads and took a few steps back.
Seeing the four kittens' disgusted expressions, Lion Sky was speechless. If he didn't need to keep these kittens to coerce females back to the tribe, he would have already snapped their necks.
Soon after, a rustling sound came from the jungle.
Su Tang turned her head and saw Lion Feather and another lion-clan beastman approaching.
Her gaze shifted and she saw Cat Nine being carried on Lion's shoulder behind her. She was stunned. How did Cat Nine, that unlucky fellow, get captured as well?
"A-Tang, are you really willing to come to my tribe with me?" Seeing that Su Tang was really there, Shi Ling excitedly stepped forward and asked.
He was afraid that Shida was lying to him in order to get him to go back.
Su Tang glanced at Shi Tian beside her and nodded, "Yes, I want to join your tribe."
She already knew that the orc who captured the Four Treasures was Lion Feather's father, and that this orc named Lion Sky was actually a tribal chief.
She felt that Lion Feather was a little out of his mind. Wouldn't it be better for him to stay in his own tribe?
Many orcs dream of settling in a powerful tribe, but it's all just wishful thinking. This brat would rather mingle with the fleeing crowds than stay in the tribe.
Su Tang glanced at Shi Tian again and thought, "Never mind, neither of these two is normal. No wonder they raised such a brat."
Hearing Su Tang's answer, Shi Ling's cheeks flushed with excitement, "You really want to? That's wonderful! I... I thought you hated me..."
Su Tang: I really hate it now.
She didn't speak, but Shi Tian gave her a warning look before she finally opened her mouth, smiling, "How could that be? How could I hate you?"
