The two also brought along a shifty-eyed male.
Su Tang looked over.
The male had a pointed chin, long eyes, and an inverted triangle-shaped face. He was hunched over and looked like a guilty thief.
"My lord, we've caught the guy who let the griffin orcs go! It's him!"
Niu Li grabbed the male's shoulder and kicked him, causing the male to fall to his knees with a thud.
Upon hearing Niu Li's words, the male pleaded for mercy, "My lord, it wasn't me! I don't know anything about it! I don't know any griffin beastmen at all, how could I let him go!"
Hu Shen narrowed his eyes, his sharp gaze sweeping over Ying Jie and Niu Li. "What's going on?"
Niu Li said angrily, "Your Majesty, this guy put something in the food of the orcs guarding the cave. The orcs got diarrhea after eating it, which is why the griffin orcs ran away."
Yingjie added, "Two consecutive days, it can't be a coincidence."
They had barely questioned the orc guarding the cave when they realized something was wrong.
The orc who was preparing the food happened to know this orc, and he was the only one who had handled the food.
The two men immediately captured the guy.
Hu Shen looked intently at the male.
The male quickly shook his head, looking completely bewildered. "I really don't know, Your Majesty. It wasn't me. How could I let the griffin orc go?"
He insisted that it wasn't him.
"My lord, even if I came into contact with the food, it doesn't necessarily mean I made it. Some orc must be trying to frame me!"
"You still won't admit it!" Niu Li kicked him in exasperation.
